Stood in the crowd, waiting for Dinosaur Jr. Friday Reading Festival 91, with an unknown Nirvana just behind us. One of those moments in your life ........
Back in the early 90's my friends made fun of me for listening to this band. It made me love them even more. Almost 35 years later, still a huge fan. Much love! Great video and audio KEXP. What a gem.
I saw them together with my favorite Dutch band....The Nozems in Paradiso Holland. One of the greatest gigs I ever was. And I'm 61. Ha ha ha. And KEXP is my favorite station.....
this takes me back to riding on the bus to school in the early 90s listening to songs like kracked. love this band. I got into these guys in the 8th grade, dinosaur, you're livin all over me, green mind... awesome.
Check out some of their earlier LPs. They're terrific in the studio as well. 'You're Living All Over Me' on good pair of speakers is a half-hour worth spent.
@@jeff7764 I saw Propagandhi (2009) and Dino Jr (2007) live. Both extremely loud but Dino Jr won that contest in my experience. Ringing in my ears for almost a week after that gig. Cheers
People laugh at me bc I always called them dinosaurus jr and I couldn’t understand. English is my third language. I saw them in mid 90s. They were so loud my body cringes when they hit certain frequencies. But man, it is one of the memorable concerts I have been to. Funny I found them in a library CD section few months before the concert. Back then when an album covers determines if it is worth listening to. It was Without a Sound album.
That first track, J playing a Vox-ish body with three pickups, Telecaster neck, and a Jazzmaster-style bridge and tremolo (Mastery?)… He’s like, “Let me try out this wacky thing I bolted together during lockdown.”
@@ChriselectricG I thought of that, but I would have to reprint the whole control face. If I could, I would have all the numbers be fractions, and 1 would be the loudest. Then if anyone asked me to turn down I could say, without lying, "I'm only on 1 now."
DC 1998, danced all night. Fantastic time with my sister. She ran for her cab to the airport. Yelling g what was the name of that band? I yell back it's punkstank
I love that they did the best of their new stuff AND the very best of their old stuff (Little Fury Things should have preceded Kracked to make it just perfecto) or they could have just gone on to FINISH playing all of You're LIving All Over Me imo
You gotta find a way. Amazing hearing J, Lou, and Murph in person. They were a bucket list band for me and I got to see them when they reunited around “Beyond”
I Ain't
I Ran Away 4:00
Kracked 7:34
Sludgefeast 10:55
Tarpit 16:05
Needed to hear this one for sure
Thank you. Saw them live recently, they were so loud, overwhelmed the venue which I was sad about. Really cool t-shirts though.

Saw them last night. Man can they ROCK 😊. My only regret is that I'd never seen them live before now
I have a bootleg of the Nirvana show.

Me too!!!
Just a bunch of noise 🎉
No two songs have ever sounded as good back to back as Kracked and Sludgefeast
Kracked never gets old for me...actually that entire album is just so good.
Definitely like one of the top 3 tracks from that album, all of which is spectacular, kracked, the lung and raisans are peak DJ
Yeah not a bad song on YLAOM, my favorites are all here.
I hope these funky dudes keep playing music together until they’re 100.
Super loud grandpa rock!

@@wizard_walking im a sophomore and seen em twice now ‼️
It is so damn good to see Murph and Lou banging it out. They're so freaking good Great set
These drums sound incredible
Tama and Paiste baby!!! Only two brands I've played for 20+ years. His kit does sound amazing.
Loved them since '89 and loving them more today!
It's been awhile since we had some old school rockers on KEXP! Stoked to check this out
Ohhh man...The irony of “old school rockers” isn’t lost on this old dude!
Before rock was sucked out of indie.
Check out the KEXP in Argentina. Fin Del Mundo.
First time hearing this band. Knew the name, never heard any of their music before. I enjoyed this more than a bit.
Check out some of their earlier LPs. They're terrific in the studio as well. 'You're Living All Over Me' on good pair of speakers is a half-hour worth spent.
@@martypeterson6747 Just checked out that album. You weren't lying! Thanks for the heads up! 😎
Awesome!
Where you Been is one of the great 90s albums. highly recommended
J mascis solo albums are also killer good ..
Love J.Saw them in Orange County in February. Never get tired of the feedback. Beautiful noise.
sweet! i saw them about 15 years ago.. djnr are by far the loudest indoor concert ive ever experienced.
Yea, they are. I paid dearly when I stood in front of those stacks without hearing protection :/
Great show though!
You’ve clearly never seen Propagandhi then
Go see sunn.

Saw them with MBV. Outside. My ears still ring.
Back again three years later and still loving it.
been listening to these guys forever...this sounds so much like "the lung"
Just tremendous. Great band, and they kill it.
This is a really profound five song set ever.
Killer set
Dinosaur Senior 🤘
Love that Mark IV body with the tele neck and strat style pick-up configuration, looks amazing
LOVE THEM NOW! THEY AIN'T GONNA LIVE FOREVER!!! LEGENDS!!!
Outstanding performance.
Casually playing sludgefest like it's nothing. So D Jr
special live! [I ain't]
is so cool.
You can see J is excited, he kracked up
знаех си, че ще те видя тук
¡Qué banda tan chingona! Suenan igual de bien que cuando los escuché por primera vez hace un montón de años. Gran banda.
Tremendo Dinosaur Jr, siempre impactantes! Se disfruta al máximo!
As always... Amazing. Hey now Dinosaur Jr. We speak your name.
One of my fav bands for 30 years.
I was just thinking of how lo g I've been listening to these guys and was telling my uninterested wife it must be at least 30 years!!
Moji heroji,I'ma jos made za planetu..
Gorgeous art. Thank you. Been following since 90’s.
You have a great drummer. Thx for putting this out. Inspiration
These dogs can still hunt.
Hahaha What a great expression. God bless.
Tarpit is beautiful, great great performance.
Just great! Wonderful smashing sound! I love you Jay
I'll watch in Brazil 2024!
Yeah!
Chingones hasta la fecha!! buena dupla del mago J Mascis y Barlow en el bajo
Seriously tremendous. Great band, and they fucking kill it
That Telecoffin is so gnarly
Thank you J! ❤
Saw them in Dublin last year. Saw Kevin Shields hanging around after the concert, too. Legendary night.
Amor puro para ustedes, agradezco a la vida cuando los vi en Chile!
Tarpit yes. Dr sounding better than ever
They hardly play it live
wow...Tarpit may be my favorite song of ALL TIME. No song punches like that one!!!
Alt und gemein, so muss es sein! Einfach toll!
This sludgefeast is exquisite.
They look a little older but the music sounds as fresh as ever 👌🏻
Aged like a fine wine 🍷
Greatest band ever!!!
This is one of those bands that everyone likes and know one knows why.
I think there's a charm about them. Never could get into J Mascis's voice, but he is a masterclass of a guitarist.
His songs. The songs are great. That is why we love them.
Mann I love this band
A couple more amps for that room is in order 😍😝
That first track, J playing a Vox-ish body with three pickups, Telecaster neck, and a Jazzmaster-style bridge and tremolo (Mastery?)… He’s like, “Let me try out this wacky thing I bolted together during lockdown.”
I spent a while trying to work out what that guitar was too!
A true "Frankenstein" by the alternative guitar god!
It is a Vox Phantom with a Tele neck. He talks about it in this rig rundown. th-cam.com/video/yr7Z1YO6U88/w-d-xo.html
Shut up
Watch the j mascis rig rundown. He shows it and tells exactly what it is.
Cant wait to see them again at Riot Fest this September. Crank those amps to 11!
Mine goes to 12. One more even than Nigels.
@JONATHAN SUTCLIFFE Was I pissed off, or just pissed? As in loaded.
I can never remember.
Or tell the difference sometimes for that matter.
@@onusgumboot5565 why didn’t you just make 11 the loudest it could go…?

Love you forever mascis
woot woot those marshalls
and fenders
This is fantastic
Oh the sound mix here are amazing, thank you 😍💜💜💜
For real
You can hear Lou lol
Mascis’s Guitar Tone SO Underrated.
He has a signature Fender ffs?! That’s like one of 20 guitarists ever.
Most guitarists I know consider him one of the best of our generation.
Underrated? Really? Probably by some Satriani an Vai Fans, but all in all…
J is always muffing it
Underrated. Hardly.
Murph rules
Wow, can he even hear the other guys? Awesome!
The Peavey on the Bass players rig is a nice touch. Those things were tough.
Once again I am impressed.
Pure gold!

@JONATHAN SUTCLIFFE that makes as much sense as an oatmeal aurora borealis tossing one eyed shrew of the heterodoxical imaginary bra
Murph is an excellent drummer!!!
I don't typically have "favorites" buy I think J. Mascis may be my favorite guitar player.
they make it look effortless
Annddd hit the star power durning the chorus for all points, so old school guitar rock

Great as always. Just need a bit of Beyond or Farm stuff.
Murph does so much with such a (relatively) small kit!
Let's open and get all our favorite.
Great show.thank you!!
