Had mine for ten years now.still runs great no problems to talk about. Still gives me the plesure of some times fast driving curvy roads.still in love 😮😊
@Abzug0386 That so called superior car ,(Sirocco)you're talking about left my neighbour three times down. Two times motor management en one time the DSG gearbox. He is so fed up with this car but has to finish his lease contract. Outperforming perhaps (when it's working), but where nowadays. Except for germany there is a speedlimit everywhere. And if you want to compare a 1.6 engine with a two liter be my guest and try the renault megane which outperforms the Sirocco by a mile.
@GaryGary007 the TTs got more power than the RCZ,, the normal 2.0 turbo has 225bhp and my TTS has 270 bhp and Looks more sportier than the normal TT and RCZ . and if you want more performance u can get the 3.2 quattro or TTRS. Plus audis known for making sports cars whilst peugeot isnt. but its your choice if u prefer the rcz.
The majority of comments are 13 yrs old below. I bought the HDI 2 litre diesel at 163 BHP 2022 and had it re mapped to 200 BHP in 2023. It is plenty fast enough for me cruising at 83 MPH at 1600 rpm. Of course it will go thru the ton and beyond - Not sure what the top end is. The car is excellent on the motorway - very quiet, tight and well balanced. The fuel economy is staggering for the sustained speed. On purchase I changed the gear box oil as a precaution, check the tyre pressures and oil weekly. Great music system - so no complaints at all. If you look after them and apply some polish they will shine timelessly. Forgot to mention the boot which is huge for a weekend away - more than twice the capacity you will get in a 'normal' sports car. It is infact a brilliant car.
Nahh bollox, I’ve got the 2l turbo diesel RCZ it’s the one you want basically bulletproof … well unless you can get the R but good luck getting one under 10K
I drove this car monday. How I fell in love with this car. So beautiful, a perfect head turner. Audi TT? No way. Scirocco? It's funny, but the RCZ in terms of inner and outer beauty wins. It's so beautiful that in January will be my car. How beautiful is this work of art.
It has been a pleasure driving this car since January 7th of 2011. It's beautiful, it turns heads for sure and it's a joy to drive even in rough winter conditions in Finland.
@PLTNUHOGLU yeah i know what u mean, but when will u ever really need to go over 100 mph and from 0 to 60 in onder 7 seconds lol. I actually really like the design and prefer it over the audi but u are right it does look quite alot like the tt love the double bubble window tho...
i've seen this acz... and i was seriously blown away.. i never thought peugeot could achieve something beautiful like that! and the price is also very good!
This a cross line between tecnologic and analogic car with a grat look. I think the best Peugeot of the last 20 or 30 years. I really like the first series, because the front is more aggressive and elegant. The second is good but, it's a little bit trivial. The best i think th 200 HP, or RCZ R with preview frontal style and with pop up spoiler, intead the fixed one. It's just better and it will combine perfectly with line. Then a little bit lowered and the aluminium mirrors. In this way, should be the perfect one for me. I doesn't need mods, just little finishing. TT is nice but, i prefer RCZ. TT is more common and everyone know. RCZ, instead, is more exclusive and refined, unless that you don't make a tuning version, with lambo doors and neon... That's not the kind of car to do it.
Maybe if he did some research would find out it wasnt built by Peugeot at all. Designed by a German Built in Austria by Master car builder Magna Steyr. The makers of The Mercades G Wagon BMW 5 series Jaguar i Pace including the 130k Aston Martin Rapide. A mutible Award winning Concept car made in small numbers with a short production Run. When launched ( THP 200GT ) the Worlds fastest & most Powerful 1.6 cc Production Car. Due to Peugeot sport developed THP ( High pressure Turbo System) & BMW/PSA Prince Engine . Winner of a Mere Eight Consecutive international Engine of the Year awards.
@seriousbe Except the 5008 got Car of the Year for 2010 and Best MPV Peugeot is trying to change so why don't you give it a chance, and have you ever owned a pug?
Super, I think this could be a really satisfying car to own. Mayb not as quick as its German bland-box rivals but alot better looking inside and out. Good work Peugeot, a modern Pug I'd like to own.
@wsbygt I don't agree with you. These days all the cars are black or dark gray, dark blue... it's very boring outside, and very boring inside. Chrome can look good if used on small details like this rcz, but i rather have them on the inside. Why dark? Why sobriety?
I had the pleasure to Drive the 200bhp Petrol version, with all available options. the sound over 4.000 rpm is really good with the sound membrane. the interior quality is awesome, everything is in reach. The Shiftstick is short and you can shift very fast. as they said in the clip, the handling is good.. but it could be better. It doesn't handle as good as the TT, but it still feels more personal then the Audi. i can really recommend this car if you want a usable little racer
Nice review Gary drove one I wasn't much surprise with the exhaust. not really bomb dropping but the design is nice already but could use some more beefing wont you agree?
Saw one of these yesterday, absolutely awesome to look at! im not a big fan of peugeots but i would love one of these....... would be nice with the power plant from an Audi RS4.
@wimo56 You're right, now these days everyone buys a VW,but you buy a model that you like, even if it looks the same as another car.Peugeot's 1.6 thp is a weak engine with a lot of failure like the headgasket that breaks easy...I would buy this one with a HDI engine,
@SukhySs Why are all the TT users sow hard for this car? i mean are you guys kinda intimidated by this car. Give it a rest comparing this car with the TT. I prefer this one because of its sporty look that the TT doesnt have
@TheGmail48 It may look better than the old (the first made) TT but not the new TT. But i can make an exception if the RCZ is white, makes it so much better to look at, even though i don't like peugeot. Got any pics of YOURS that is Yours and that You're driving around in? How does it look like under the hood?
Peugeot has made a really daring attempt at a sporty car. Bravo. Nice finish. But it won't sell next to the new Scirocco, at the same price. And the road tester has to go. Sorry.
@morominaolenmina depends on the engine. you have one with 152 bhp i believe and one with 200 bhp. both 1.6 liter. i know the 200 bhp engine (it's the one my uncle has :D ) will bring you from 0 to 60 mph/100 km/h in just over 7 seconds (about 7,3) i think the 152 bhp engine get's it done in around 8 seconds. but keep in mind these times are only reachable when you do everything perfect (shifting etc). And i don't now how much it will be exactly with an automatic gearbox.
@vezelf Well no, the Megane RS does not outperfotm the Scirocco, get your facts right..... The only place where the Megane would probably win is the race track, but even there the Scirocco won 3 out of 8 duels..... But where can xou actually race nowadays, and how often does that happen? 0 - 200 Scirocco R is around 3 sec faster than the M3RS
@derbigpr500 Because Peugeot isn't as good as Audi (quality), so they don't have to fake the Audi TT. What would you choose, an Audi (luxury & quality) or a stupid 'everyday' Peugeot (crap)?
@vezelf You're right when it comes to seperate a Polo from a Golf or a Passat from a Jetta or something like that though. I dont like that as well, but cmon man, the Scirocco doesnt look like one of them at all, admit that....
I think the main reason why this car goes only 0-100 on 7.5 s is because is front wheel pulled, less because of the power of the engine, 0-200 should be more interresting.
@Abzug0386 ever looked in your rear window mirror and try to find out what car is driving behind you? It's a Golf oh no, a Polo or a Passat for that matter. No, I don't need glasses but the Volkswagen design department definitly does. Every time Volkswagen releases a new model it only got new head- and taillights. Its too conservative its more of the same and not exciting at all. But hey, we cant be all smart, outperforming Germans.
@SukhySs You are right about that one. But for me it isnt about power & speed. Every country has speed restrictions sow it doesnt matter how fast a car can go or how fast it can accelerate to 100. :) But you are right about the power of the TT and that Audi has better experiance building sportscars! :)
I had a spin in an RCZ 2.0 HDi 163 GT today when I was getting my 308 serviced... Its absolutely amazing and farrr nicer to drive than my brothers TT 2.0 TDi.... Also the interior is ALOT more welcoming than the TTs... I want one so much!!! :'(
@wimo56 Where in the world does a Scirocco look like a Polo or a Touran?? LOL! Take off your glasses, seriously.... The front of the RCZ looks way more like the 207 or 308.... Despite the fact that the Scirocco outperforms the RCZ THP 200 in every single way and definately has the better interior quality, for the same amount of money. So there's no doubt that the Scirocco is the better car. Only reason to pick the RCZ is to have something more rare on the streets. Dumb decision though.
@micheskillz Allright, I understand... But I read car magazines! And I believe them. And yes, it is a Peugeot, but I could have been the next Audi TT, isn't it? D
@micheskillz My friend I drove this car last monday, and the car has high quality, especially exterior. Because it is built in Austria on a small scale. 15,000 units per year. Bummed we can't get cars like this in the States.... Only option I have here is the TT and that's a little pricey
@mdjpinto nahhh not any more cars are getting alot smaller here in the states
@RossEnzo if a car like this was thaught for the US, french had to buildit 3ft longer and 1ft wider....
What did the traffic light say to the car?
Don't look, I'm changing.
@GaryGary007 the TTs got more power than the RCZ,, the normal 2.0 turbo has 225bhp and my TTS has 270 bhp and Looks more sportier than the normal TT and RCZ . and if you want more performance u can get the 3.2 quattro or TTRS. It's a Rcz
You have to put a pop-filter on a mic when you do the voiceover. Or turn your head slightly aside when you recording it.
Looks like an Audi TT and a Mitsubishi Eclipse had a baby
TT from Peugeot?
@PLTNUHOGLU its is actually quite a good 1.6 engine with good performance and economy! the r8 is a supercar this isnt, big difference
