    Seeing as this is the best shape Fiesta ST you have given it the best interior now! Hats off to you for attempting it and pulling it off

      Honestly I am the same. Apart from the MK1 fiesta I like the Mk6. It's changed the fieta from a round shaped car to the new way cars were going, angular. I love the Mk6 ST than the mk7 and 8. I actually had a ST180 and it was a very nice car. But that was the problem, it never felt special. The Mk6 has that more old school simple feel about it that I love. I am just getting the car to a great standard once done and also improving it whilst doing it with some modern touches 😁

      @@DriveWithAndy yeah the MK1 is probably the best in all fairness, but the MK6 is where they bought it back from the dead I think.

    I have fitted the same seats in my mk6 great mod 👍
    On that, when I upgrading mine weren’t the full leather heated previously but the blue suede so never had the wiring in Thor the heat mat. Did you have to order new switches and wiring connectors or did you use the old ones? Or have you done a video on the wiring that I’ve missed ?

    • @DriveWithAndy
      @DriveWithAndy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Welcome 😁
      I love the seats. So yeh I know what you mean, I found the standard ones high but also not supportive and also the adjustment was naff. So I don't think these are any lower. But they make you feel more snug in the car due to the bigger bucket style of the seat and also they have bolsters up higher for the shoulders so you feel more inside the car than sat on the car. Hope that makes sense

    Hi Mate i like watching your TH-cam. But may i ask is it posable to fit MK2 Focus ST225 Heated full leather Recaro front seats in to my ST150 and will they still work.

    • @DriveWithAndy
      @DriveWithAndy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jimmy, I think you can as those Recaros are. Very similar. If anything I might be right in thinking you don't need the OMP frame. But if you got the OMP frames then I don't see why not as you can do what I did in my video to fit them.
      Then for heating, which is a bonus, again you could try what I did. Have you seen my video about getting the heated seats to work?

    I know it's been a while since you put the new seats in but just want to ask if the omp seat base feels sturdy and solid. Original seats bolt straight onto the car. So a little worried about safety. What do you think?

    • @DriveWithAndy
      @DriveWithAndy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No issues at all. They are solid. As shown in the video you can't use the original bolts. You have to get longer ones like I did. But my next improvement for this is to see if I can buy Allen key countersunk ones so they sit flush rather than the big bolt head.

    Since I didn't notice you say anything, ate the actual seat skeders different? Or dud you take your old sliders and transfer to the new seats. Either way, why couldn't you just bolt them back down to factory locations. I justvfeel like either I'm missing something or those plates are 100% unnecessary, ESPECIALLY considering you were talking about cutting and grinding anyway! Hell, I'd try to keep as many stock components and seat as low as humanly possible by any and all means necessary. Thanks in advance lol.
    Also have a 2012, seats are shot, am I on my own or do you know what years are "interchangeable "...

    • @DriveWithAndy
      @DriveWithAndy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hi, so all shown in the video how i fitted them. The mk7 ST3 seats bolt holes are in different locations so the OMP base plate was used to bolt to the floor and then the seat to the plate. Yes anoyingly it means it raises the seat 5-10mm but still a mich nicer seat compared to the ST150 seats. Loads more sopport, gret bolsters, look cool and are heated. But i will be having the plate removed at some point fairly soon so that new bolt holes can be welded into place. Plus the seats themselves should be re trimmed later this year to match the rest of the cars new interior

    • @beasyphone
      @beasyphone 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DriveWithAndy gotcha. I don't have them in hand, and they ( the factory sliders on multiple years) mounting points; on the seat/ not the floor. Look like the "curve or bend left/right" in similar fashion. FIGURED, That's why the plates exist but also looked like if the plate was yanked out, thst the sliders were almost directly on top of the factory bungs lol... thank fir clarifying the suspicion
