      A lot of them. But after a couple of months of getting on betaine HCl and digestive enzymes, I'm still having pain really high up in the stomach after everything I eat. Even water sometimes. Tired of being in pain. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Wondering if there's a point where maybe I'm supposed to get off the HCl? Because it seemed to be working well for a while and I had weeks of no pain. Maybe it's too much now?

      Same here…all of those symptoms…all while going to the doctors and begging for help. I have Betaine HCL and Ox bile (no gall bladder) but I was talking them improperly. Based Hale‘s videos, the HCL is taken with the meal to acidify the stomach. Bile is taken 1 -1/2 hours after the meal to replace the bile that would normally be added in the intestines.

      Well, almost all. But why is it when I eat acidic foods (like fermented), I still get those symptoms? Is it the nature of the acids?

    I literally burped hundreds of times every day. I told my Dr. He just stared at me like I was a specimen in a jar. 😣 Eventually another Dr. removed my gallbladder. I actually had a huge gallstone. 😢 You have taught me so much! I am better thanks to you. So many years of pain and discomfort that were totally avoidable! Do Dr's just not care? It is so simple, why don't they seem to know how the body works? I am learning. Thanks for being my teacher!

    • @rajinevin7273
      @rajinevin7273 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Perhaps "doctors just don't care" but even closer to the TRUTH is that doctors DO CARE about making money. They work hand in hand with BIG PHARMA and they subscribe, subscribe, subscribe - as much as possible! They also only learn a VERY NARROW version of what health is in medical school. Let's face it - their 3 main go-to's are RADIATE, CUT or MEDICATE. That's what they were taught and that is MOSTLY what they have to offer. That is why so many are seeking alternative methods of healing - or rather - many are seeking ways to heal vs. ways to cover up symptoms and continue to live life with an illness or disease as their doctor is not helping them to heal - and most do not even know how to heal. They simply know how to cover up symptoms - with medicines that are TOXIC - with long lists of so-called "side-effects" and they even include that they "could cause death" as one of the "side-effects". You MUST become your OWN doctor, learn how to listen to your body, do you own in depth research (as we can find MUCH info on the internet these days) and learn how to ascertain what resonates with you and your body and what does not. It is up to us now. DUMP THE SO-CALLED DOCTORS! Unless you utilize their equipment for diagnostics and such - or for a broken bone. Otherwise, seek out info on your own - or IF you can afford it - look for a "Functional Medicine Doctor" - who will guide you in the wide spectrum of WAYS TO HEAL the body! Good luck! Stick with it. IT WORKS!

    Excellent video! A coworker did have a subset of these symptoms. 1) Certain foods made him severely boated. 5. His stools were creamy, yet constipating, irritating, and always had a scent. 7) Always hungry. 10) Charlie horses (sign of low minerals). Great progress was made with introducing acid (e.g., apple cider vinegar, vegan betaine HCL, tangerines) when he ate. Haven't tried sparkling water, yet. His stools are now good texture, the bloating is dramatically improved, but stools need more darkening, so I watched the video on the bile flush. Challenge is he has a history of kidney stones so he avoids oxalate-rich foods like beets and spinach. Suggestions?

    I've been aware of low stomach acid for some time now and have been adding ACV to a glass of water before meals (plus Flaxseeds already softened in water overnight and Olive Oil). However, I never realized low blood pressure is also linked to low acid. Excellent information - I now know why!

    • @mercyajoke3475
      @mercyajoke3475 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How do you feel after taking ACV? I also have low stomach acid because I don’t digest food properly. Do you have h pylori infection ? Pls share your experience.

    • @irenemcwatt2088
      @irenemcwatt2088 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mercyajoke3475 Absolutely fine. I don't have h Pylori infection, but taking 2 tsp of the vinegar in a full glass of lukewarm water the ACV tastes like a soft drink. However, if you add Extra Virgin Oil to your regime, this will heal the skin on the inside of your gut. Take from 2 tsp. to 1 tbsp of olive oil every day, and if you suffer from itchy, eczematous skin, the olive oil will help reduce this problem too, and probably heal it altogether. Look up Dr Mandell on TH-cam, he explains best the benefits of these ancient healing remedies.

    I was in the emergency room last night for two hours for 9 out of the 10 symptoms you mentioned .While I’m waiting to be seen I’m looking up videos and found your video!! 🙏🏼 Thank you so much!! I had two rounds of antibiotics for a tooth and almost back to back. I just ended the last round about 10 days ago. I had a flareup of Gerd bc of the antibiotics So I was taking my PPIs for the last week which I now know caused my low acid . Even on a gut friendly diet for all 7 days!! But now I know it wouldn’t even matter bc there wasn’t enough stomach acid to kill the bad guys!
    I couldn’t believe out of 10 of the symptoms I had nine of them! When I got home Iimmediately had a cup of ACV before my meal and one after. I also went online and got a little juicer. I did watch your video about celery juice so I did my first juice today so far so good. I also put lemon juice in my water bottle, I notice a little burping today but cut those symptoms down to only a few!!!!!

    I have a very peculiar case.
    Gallbladder removed, fatty liver, hiatal hernia repaired, h. Pylori positive, low gastrointestinal acid, partial hysterectomy at 36, and just 2 years ago menopause finally kicked in. Possibly sibo or leaky gut.
    I'm 52 years old. I weight 140 pounds, 5'4".
    I used to be very athletic and participated in many triathlons, marathons, etc.
    After my hysterectomy, everything went down hill.
    Diagnosed with H.pylori last year, two rounds of antibiotics and my bitter mouth taste 24/7.
    I've tried HCL, aloe vera-ginger, L glutamine, swiddish bitters, ACV, celery juice, bone broth, no dairy, no grains, no sugar diet.
    Can I live a healthy live after all these issues?
    I don't know how to target every issue.

    I have had the chronic laryngitis thing for 30 years. I hear you had it for eight. Congratulations on beating it. Mine occurred after a bad cold I got while binge drinking in Mexico. Lost my voice then and life has sucked ever since. Socializing sucks etc etc etc. You know what I am talking about, no pun intended. Most people dont have a clue and kind of role their eyes when you whine about it then when they get a bout of laryngitis for three days they take off work and because it is so difficult to communicate but still roll their eyes when you bring it up. I was hoping I had silent reflux and apple cider vinegar would fix it but it hasn't really helped. I also tried the inhaling of a baking soda water mist to neutralize the pepsin but that hasn't really helped. Is there a good diagnostic to check if you actually have low acid? Like you, I saw dozens of doctors, ENT's. PPI's , voice therapy, etc. nothing helped. My diagnosis is muscular dysphonia by the way. Cheers! Dan

    Hey, T.C.: I wonder if you might comment on the article below from functional medicine practitioner Michael McEvoy?
    ~~~~~
    *The HCL Challenge: Why the Conventional Test is Dead Wrong*
    The conventional HCL challenge test involves the ingestion of Betaine Hydrochloride in order to gauge if the parietal cells of your stomach are producing adequate amounts of stomach acid. The test typically involves taking one HCL pill with food and then increasing by one per day until a burning occurs. If burning takes place at a low dose it is thought that this is because your stomach is producing adequate HCL. And if a burning occurs at a higher dose it is thought that it is due to low levels of HCL production in the stomach.
    The problem is that this is absolutely not what is really happening with this test.
    In fact, if a small dose of HCL produces burning, it is not because you have adequate HCL at all. If HCL supplements produce burning it indicates rather that your mucosal barrier is damaged! The HCL is producing burning because the acid is burning exposed tissues.
    Under normal, healthy circumstances, a person should be able to tolerate a lot of Betaine HCL. HCL only contains about 2-3% hydrogen. The clinical response that occurs with Betaine HCL supplementation is more due to the Betaine than from HCL! If you are experiencing burning with only 500-3,500 mg of HCL, your gastro intestinal mucosal barrier is in a state of distress. Many researchers believe that a person with a healthy mucosal barrier should be able to tolerate upto 26 capsules of Betaine HCL!
    People who are recommending HCL supplementation to people that having burning sensations after an HCL challenge test are only contributing to the breakdown of the mucosa. It is possible (and likely) that a person with a damaged mucosal barrier may have low levels of HCL being produced by their stomach, and have a need for more stomach acid. However, the mucosal barrier needs to be repaired first! Otherwise the implications are not good.
    How Can One Test for Hypochlorhydria (low stomach acid)?
    The Heidelberg ph test is probably the most accurate way to gauge HCL insufficiency. However this test is invasive and the Heidelberg machines are not easy to find. Blood tests can identify Hypochlorhydria fairly well, especially if the chloride value is less than 100, and if the Co2 level is greater than 27. However, chloride and Co2 values also identify other variables in the body. If the person has clinical signs of HCL insufficiency (gas, bloating after eating, undigested food ins stools) and their blood test correlates, then HCL insufficiency is likely.
    Another way to accurately gauge HCL insufficiency is through HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis). Clinicians have identified direct correlations between the Heidelberg ph test and low HTMA values.
    Several years ago, I had a Heidelberg pH Test (swallowed tethered capsule that measured pH and transmitted data to doctor's laptop) and was told I had low stomach acid. The provider told me the standard alternative medicine advice to start taking capsules of HCl w/Pepsin. I was told to begin with one capsule with meals containing at least 20 grams of protein. I was told to do that for two days and if I didn't experience any warm feeling in my stomach to increase the dose to two capsules per meal for two more days. And, so on.
    I got up to about five capsules per meal per day with no warm feeling and I was worried about going too high and possibly causing problems. So, I spoke to my functional medicine doctor about the issue and he said "Eh, okay. You can stop taking them." His lack of interest made me wonder if he even knew what he was doing or if he was just guessing. I mean, if he really believed in the pH Gastrogram study and the HCl capsules as the solution, I thought he might try to persuade me to keep going for a while longer. But, nope. He dropped it like a hot rock.
    That seemed like a waste of several hundred dollars. I know Steve Wright and Jordan Reasoner (SCD Lifestyle) have the same thinking about titrating up on capsules, but I now see there's a lot of people just repeating things in the "Health" space. Actually, I think their advice was based on the advice of Jonathan V. Wright, MD of Tahoma Clinic in Washington state.
    From what little I know about you, I'm pretty sure you've read all the stuff I have...and, much more. I don't know if you ever experienced it, but I'm frustrated from trying to figure out just what the heck is correct. I've been dealing with a lot more serious issues (Lyme, unemployment, both types of sleep apnea, chronic fatigue, and more) and the continual searching for answers is exhausting and it drains what precious little mental and physical energy I can muster. Thanks, my friend. Sorry for the long message.
      I haven't read the article, but I can say I don't use the "HCL test" everyone else uses either.
