    Thanks for your review. I just bought these and can’t wait to try them. I saw someone say in a comment on DD’s website that they put a coat of their favorite colored polish on before applying the gel strips which then protect the polish as well as their natural nails. I also heard you can polish the clear ones. Can’t wait to play!

    I also have the weakest nails ever. For years I was getting the dip powder done because I wanted my nails to feel hard and have some strength to them. Then in 2020 when the world came to a halt. I ended up looking on You Tube for directions on how to do dip powder at home. That’s also when I came across the Dashing Diva semi cured nail strips. They really do work. As long as you apply them at night do not touch any water until the next morning and do not apply any type cuticle oil these semi cured nail strips will do the trick. I also watched a video on here on how to encapsulate the regular nails strips which also gives them some hardness.I hope by now you have given the semi cured ones a try. Best of luck with your nail journey.

      @@movetoknoxvillewithdawn all you have to do is apply the nail strips as you normally do. Then get yourself some builder gel and an inexpensive uv/led lap I use one of those small ones that you can fit 4 fingers under at one time. I also use the Aimilli builder gel you can get it on Amazon. I use bought the package that come with the no wipe top coat. After you put the nail strip on apply a coat of the builder gel put it under the lamp and cure once you have done that then apply the top coat and cure it as well. It truly looks amazing. I hope that helps you.

    I bought the regular Glaze at Ulta and applied yesterday and was really happy with the ease of application vs a regular polish strip. I keep my nails short and find it difficult to file off the excess polish of a nail strip. Some of my nail beds aren’t the exact shape of the strips, but when the OCD is in check 😅 at the end of the day it’s not noticeable unless someone is closely inspecting them. I’m anxious to see how long these last. Oh- my nails are also paper thin, oily, and peely and the regular Glaze made them feel quite thick and strong; *almost* as strong as dip even.

    I just tried Dashing Diva and I love the them. I tried the Glaze strips and they look like I went to a salon. When I try to polish my nails it looks like a child polished them. Dashing Diva is so easy that even I can get the salon look, They are a lot cheaper than going to a salon too,

    One thing I often do is put oil on my nails and underneath them. Then I put on latex gloves and go to bed. I take off the gloves the following morning, and my nails are well oiled, and my hands are very soft. When I use jojoba oil, they feel GREAT without being greasy. At any rate, I can see the oil-and-glove method as being a great way to remove the product. I bought the Dashing Diva Glaze. I haven't applied it yet, but I plan to. This is a great tutorial.

      You have to make sure that you don’t get it on your cuticle (at the base of your nail) since that will be lifted and more noticeable with grow out. I always use a rubber tipped cuticle pusher to smooth the nail on, especially at the cuticle to really make sure it is stuck down.

  • @ellennolan4979
    @ellennolan4979 ปีที่แล้ว

    I tried these nails and was very happy. But when I removed the nails and tried to put on a new set, I found that they wouldn't adhere around the edges very well. Probably because of all the oil I used to remove. I cleaned them with soap and water, went over with polish remover and wiped with alcohol. I am going to try to wait a day before putting on a new set. If you have any advice, please give it.

      I file my down and then soak in 100% acetone for at least 10 min, I don’t use oil, so avoiding oil at all could help! I have been using these for about a year now 24/7 lol still love them

    Why does the film on the stickers not come off when I tried this? I’ve tried taking it off and peeling the film off but when I did there wasn’t anything to peel, I was so excited to try these but😭

    • @ninahendricks4218
      @ninahendricks4218 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I peel to top film off before I even pull the strip from the plastic, its supposed to help placement i think, or maybe to keep fingerprints from forming when pressing the strip down before you cure them, but its much easier to apply them without it and fingerprints self level/heal before you cure them anyways

    • @ninahendricks4218
      @ninahendricks4218 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would just get the colored line its the same, but to answer I have used gel polish over the glaze for a shimmer effect and it was only okay, they are so smooth that polish doesn’t stick well to them it lasted about a week and then started flaking off the glaze while the glaze was perfect still underneath so i just kinda scratched the polish off the glaze because it was bothering me… I suppose if you filed the top of the glaze first it should stick better, I think i will try that… or apply before curing the glaze is another idea…

    What do you think of putting these on your acrylic nails as they grow out so you don’t have those thin, awful nails to deal with?

    • @LaurenErro
      @LaurenErro  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean?

    • @ninahendricks4218
      @ninahendricks4218 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think she means if you are quitting acrylics. Acrylics really damage your nails and make them so bendy thin and sensitive. I think it would be a good transition to natural nails for sure. They give a hardness that feel protective and eliminates bending and sensitivity, though be very patient and careful with the removal to not cause further damage because if you are not you can definitely cause damage in the removal I have pulled off layers of my nails in certain spots before I learned to be more patient and gentle

  • @ninahendricks4218
    @ninahendricks4218 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think the difference between glaze strong and the other colored glaze is just marketing. People who only want stronger nails might just want clear or clear with a little glitter, its more the intent of the product and marketing, but the colored glaze lines are protective as well, as long as you remove them carefully! I like to file them down first, then soak in 100% acetone and then gentllllly remove with a wooden stick. If they dont come off with gentle pressure, wait longer!
