You didn't adjust the TDC for cylinder 1.
So that’s the noise on mine that’s what I thought it was thanks

They are all factory part’s that I had either chromed or polished by a local shop

So what year engine is that? I just bought an 88 pickup, its efi. Just wondering.
Same basic engine, pre 86.5 they were carbureted and from then till 89 they were efi till they retired the Z24

I was thinking about putting a holley efi on mine. Ever seen one done like that?
Hey i did this …. But now my rpms will not go past 3,000 rpms almost as if it has a rev limiter. Can anyone please help? It has no power in the fwy
you probably adjusted them wrong. plus you have to be at TDC and I think the manual says to warm the engine up first before adjusting valves
