I'm in the precess of buying a 2x72". After rearresting researching Bader, Northridge, Reeder, Black Fox Knifeworks and Ameribrade, I finally decided on the Black Fox One (BFO). I liked the Northridge and Ameribrade, but I didn't like the horizontal mount for them. IMO the horizontal attachment is an after thought to compete with the BFO. The Grinder was designed with horizontal usage in mind and pivots close to the center of gravity. Hello from Texas. I've been to Germany, it's a nice country. I also spent some time getting my diy belt grinder to track right. Some suggestions for you: 1. Get a nice long straight edge ruler and check that the wheels are on the same plane. Put the straight edge of the ruler against the outside end of the drive wheel and then see if the ends of the other wheels line up. The tracking wheel has to be adjustable so it doesn't necessarily need to pass this test. 2. Is your idler wheel plate (sometimes called a D plate) homemade or did you buy it? Either way, how thick is it? 1/4" (6mm) stock is not going to work because it'll flex too much to allow good tracking. 3/8" (9.53mm) is better. Also use your straight edge to check that the d plate is nice and flat. Hope this helps
