I bought the Black Fox grinder earlier this year. I share your assessment of the functionality and quality of this grinder. I have yet to have any issues with this quality made product. I am adding accessories and feel that I have not reached it’s full potential yet. I want to add a adjustable work rest and small wheel grinder set. I have a 10” contact wheel and like you want a surface grinder. I am very pleased with my purchase. My purchase was influenced by your earlier review of this grinder.
That’s good to hear. I do feel a sense of responsibility if I recommend a product and I feel really good recommending this grinder. All around, the product, the business, everything. Glad you are enjoying yours. 👍
I like the disc sander idea. I have a disc grinder attached to a 4x36 belt sander, and sometimes I'll turn it over on its edge so you I can use the disc grinder that way.
Solid looking 2x72 right there! I know they're more common now days... but every time I see a 90 degree rotate, my mind is saying "OOOuuuuhhhhh, Ahhhhhh" 😅 _Edit: The Disk Grinding attachment is legit... A buffer attachment would be nice too._
That podcast was a great interview. But he had me shaking my head with the whole ‘customers suing knife makers because they’ve cut themselves with the knives they bought!’ 😂🤣😂🤣.
Glad to see you back to making a few videos. It be great to see some more forging videos. Maybe a video of putting a gas shock on your KMG to replace the worn spring... just a thought
Just have to put in the work of hundreds of TH-cam videos that grows an audience. People think it’s just getting stuff for free, but there has been hundreds of hours to getting to the point where it’s worth companies reaching out.
I'm going to try one. Some times when the "pros" on forums talk too loud they are pushing their own products and are concerned new products may steal some thunder. When 2 start arguing like little kids I look in a different direction. Yes it's 2023, hows it holding up now?
Great follow-up review. I love mine and did get the small wheel set. I do have a question. Do you ever get a static electric pop when grinding? I have and it knocks the snot out of me. Not sure how to avoid this. I’ve checked the ground and it is good. I will sometimes use a clip and ground the work to the grinder. I notice that you seem to never have that issue. Thank you in advance for your reply. Blessings!
Dear Jeremy, Could you help me? How many newton the gas spring on this grinder? I'm looking for a new because it was broken. Thank you in advance. They are so professional belt grinders!
Real quick, James Huse Knives in Buda, TX (he was on Forged In Fire) has that same grinder. He's made a knife for me and I'm having him make me another one. When he grinds though you have to wear a mask from all the dust. Can you explain how and what parts you used for that vacuum attachment? Dang, I just saw your answer in another comment. I'll watch that vid and share it with James. I'll likely make one myself for my little workshop too. Love your vids. I learn a lot. Thanks!
@@tuckerabbott He sure is. He's very down to earth and will take the time to answer your questions. His knowledge of his craft is amazing. Few weekends ago I spent hours there because 3 of my cousins were taking his knife making 3-day class. Whenever the grinder was used the dust would kick up all over. Today I sent James the vid on attaching the vacuum as Simple Life did. When I'm there in about a month or so to pick up my new knife I'll see if he actually got the vacuum attachment. If not, I respect his way of doing things.
Looks like they switched to powder coated steel for the work rest. Delrin is an INCREDIBLY tough engineering plastic. It's also slippery. A common application is gears.
Hi Jeremy, I can listen to you for hours, really inspiring. I'm currently designing my 2x72 and would like to hear your opinion on belt speed. 3600 rpm and 5'' drive wheel result in 4710 sfm. Is this enough for knife making? There are a lot of higher numbers (up to 6000-8000 sfm) out there, but most of them are related to heavy material removal. So I'm a litte confused witch way to go. Greetings from Germany.
@@Simplelittlelife Would it have to be plug and play fully built or would you be interested in a build kit? Some day when I have the cash I'll be able to send out Plug and play to influencers but for now I can only afford to send out build kits. I just ran out but I'll have more in a couple weeks.

Thank you for your dedication to the craft as well as the people in knifemaking. You're a good dude Jeremy.

I really like is wheel set up on the flat platen. Surprised you did not mention it more. Your my favorite knife maker youtuber. Happy to see you back.

Great video, thank you. Where did you get that cool blue dust collection hose?
Nice video, thank you, Sir!
Man, I was excited when you put this up because I've been on the fence about that disk grinder attachment but haven't seen it in use.

This grinder is a little out of my price range but I have heard the fixing forge 1x30 is a very good beginner machine
This is a great belt grinder. Unfortunately we can’t get this in the UK. Do you know of any other brands which are available to us?
Looks like an awesome unit.

Is that a blackfox 1 or a blackfox pro ?
Can you put a 50x1500mm belt or a 50x2000mm belt on it?
You should try out a B.A. Shredder! :)
You should send me one! 👍

I wish I had machining tools because a grinder like this looks like it would be fun to build!
Do you still feature viewer knives on your channel?
I do plan on making more of those vids in the future. 👍
@@Simplelittlelife please let me know when you are doing that again. I would like to send some of my knives in for you to feature. Thanks!
Nice.. 👍👍👍👍
How much does it cost?
Where did you source the flexible duct?
I have a video on that here with a link in the description of that video 👍 th-cam.com/video/ICQvBf7xlgs/w-d-xo.html
Because of its size and the way he was talking about it I totally thought that this thing would be like $700 or less
$2,600 ouch 🤕
How much is this unit worth.?
Is there a cheaper one
Check out their web site. They have kits and cheaper models.
Thanks
How much is it?

Hi! 👋
Yea it better not be janky for that kind of $$$$
$3k very nice grinder.
Indeed it is 👍
I hate watching videos like this, I look at my Canadian tire 4x36 grinder and I start to cry , I wish I could afford one of these Grinders.
Watch my most recent video. I made a knife on a 1X30
First
Woohoo!
You should not have a problem when the unit costs 3000.00
Sorry fucina forge
