Ahhh Thanks AG. 🙏❤️ Way too kind! Man, I bet you are itching to get out there. I would think things will have settled down a bit by then too, which would be nice for you guys. 👍

Regarding schooling for the kids, you said that the two of you were just starting to settle into the travel and the new life, and it's starting to feel more normal… maybe the kids (or just the one you mentioned) are also needing that time to settle into it.
They're not going to suddenly turn into drop-outs and fail at life if you take a break and let them relax into a new life for a while. They'll ctach up when they need to.
And besides, there's SO MUCH that kids can learn while travelling that nobody ever learns while sitting behind a desk. They're not going to miss out.

Coralie Nathan thanks for your advise ☺️ you’re absolutely right!
I think I’m putting way to much pressure on Dale and myself.
It will all work it it’s way out 🌸

It's so easy to forget that everyone is getting used to new stuff, and that we all need to give ourselves and everyone else time and patience. Crikey, I should be reminding myself of this for me and my kids every single day. LOL!!

Troy Staines Hehehe! Thanks Troy. I didn’t want to bang too much in there as it would have taken a lot longer and we wanted to get this out and get it done. We’ve been saying we’ll do this for ages and just never got around to it. Suddenly it’s been 6 months! 🤦‍♂️😂
Won’t be so long between updates now. 🤙

Hey guys, great to see you on the road, are you going to put up a vid on ur vehicle build? Im really keen to see what ur weights are and what suspension you went with? ie, rear spring weights etc, look forward to seeing more, cheers

    • @SaltEarthandSun

Hey bro, thanks for the comment. We've been saying we'll get to our rig rundown video for ages now and things just keep getting in the way. Hopefully when we get to SA, weather is a bit better and we can do it and the van their. Lots of people waiting for this now. :)
As to our weights and suspension we have a Lovells GVM GCM Upgrade. Which is rated to 7T GCM. You can't build a car like ours and stay under 6T GCM. . .not possible. Have to have an upgrade done.
Rear axle weight is the hard one to get right, as is ball weight, so we have to be careful how we load the car and where the weight is in the van etc. It's not easy, but possible.
Stay tuned.. . .although I did also say that to somebody who asked 3 months ago. :D

@@SaltEarthandSun thanks for the reply, im looking at setting up a new Dmax (Pre rego) this year and we also have our eye on the golden child. Looks to me that the Lovells upgrade will be on the cards, just not sure as to what rated rear springs to get thats all. keep up the great work and safe travels, cheers Shane

@@mudgutsthomas3934 The Lovells kit is a front coils and shocks and a rear leaf and shock kit on the Ranger. You can go 6.6T or 7.1T now. But from what I gather it is platform dependent. Have a chat to them and see what's possible with your DMax. Pre-Reg is the way,. :)

How exciting. I hope you have a chance to get to Melbourne for Christmas. It’s so hard with all this happening at the moment to know what will happen.

Gday Guys how Awesome! Just saw you on Creek to Coast and it's funny timing as my wife and I had just found the Marvel Golden Child online and are considering buying the 20'6.
We have two boys (6 & 4) and would love to do a lap!
Any chance of doing a video walk around on your van with the Pro's and Con's and any upgrades you think might be a good idea?
Also have you had the van on the beach yet?
    Would love to see that.
Ok Guys hope all is going well and look forward to your videos!
    Shane

Hey Shane, thanks for the comment mate. :) We post quite a bit of stuff on insta at the moment and we're currently down in Tassie. Van is going great, we plan to film a full tour video really soon actually, so you'll see that here when it's done. We've learnt a lot in our short time on the road so far, but really feel like it's only just started now that we are in Tasmania. Long story, we'll explain it all in the next vid no doubt. :)
Have had the van on some really soft sand campgrounds that were probably a bit hairer than the beach etc. but not properly on the beach next to the water as yet. Sure it won't be too long. It's definitely gone places that I haven't seen any other vans at. Really happy with it so far.
Hope we can get this done soon for ya. :)
