I have this laptop with the same specs bought from Walmart around 4 months ago, it is used everyday for hours of gaming mostly call of duty and have had zero issues. Fans don’t get to loud and the screen with its 240 hertz refresh rate makes gameplay liquid smooth. Just make sure you do all your updates ( windows, my asus, nivida, Microsoft apps, armory crate and amd drivers). This thing is a beast !!!!!
I have a problem with this same laptop the problem is that it says in myasus it has a windows update and apparently it does not have any update it is an error
Sooo, how does this exact laptop one compare with the 2023 HP Omen model # 16-wd0073dx. The Omen has the i7-13620h with the RTX 4060. I have both of them right now side by side and up and running, but I'm not sure which one is the better of the two.. I know the Stix G17 has a 240mhz refresh rate with a 2650x1440p 17" display while the Omen has a 1920x1080, 165mhz refresh rate on a 16" display. But, I'm not sure which CPU is better and faster. I know it wouldn't be by much, but I'm getting mixed reviews on userbenchmark and on TH-cam videos and on Google. Sooo, I'm not sure.. lmao.
you will have a blast! and is so comfortable. like any other high quality device just be careful but YES, very simple to open it up and clean, change components, etc. I use it for After Effect VFX editing and is so fast at rendering. another reason I update it to 32ram. 16 was a bit slow but the machine is top tier for a laptop💪🏻
not for FPS, for rendering high quality videos was slow at 16ram but when I upgrade it to 32gb ram it became easier. for gaming, you won't ever go lower than 80 or 100 FPS on 2K ultra. currently playing Helldivers 2 on max settings 2K res and it never get hotter than 70c and it doesn't go lower than 120 fps on max settings.
Haven't tried the games you mentioned but been playing space marine 2 smoothly. so it should handle those with no issues. Probably wont run everything on ultra but definitely high settings.
@@francohinojosa2559 most likely the system is glitching when it switches between video cards, you have to manually connect one of those that you need at the moment through the program each time
You shouldn’t have your laptop in sleep mode for more than an hour because it causes it to freeze more and be more buggy. If you aren’t going to be back for a long time, it is better to shut it down than to simply close the lid or put it into sleep mode. Not only will it help with it not freezing and being buggy it is also better for the laptop to shut it down in general.
in a month im about to get this serious upgrade of a laptop my current one is a gtx 1650 8gb icore 5 cant do anything on this trash cant even get steady 50 frames anymore
Not great, especially if gaming, but that's to be expected running this kind of hardware. If you're just going to be browsing or streaming, it's not terrible.
All gaming laptops are going to die fast if you try to play games on the battery. They're not really for gaming on the go. they're more for getting a whole powerful computer easily from one place to another where you can plug in. but if you put it in power saving mode and are using it for light browsing/school/office work it should last a decent amount of time.
80 110 with all setting in high and with ray tracing I get steady 80 but the ray tracing and graphics on PC are waaaay more precise and better then console, consoles have ray tracing on a very LOW mode while a PC puts it to the MAX
I want to buy gaming laptop like 1200-1400$ and i am kinda fit with this one but i am not sure is it overpriced or not can someone help like take this one or you can check this
I've been looking for a gaming laptop for two months but haven't found anything better. After I have looked at thousands of benchmarks and reviews, I think my opinion has some weight. I have been using the laptop as in the video for a week now and I have no problems with it. You can see the same Asus Strix but with 4070+32gb, but I did not pay extra money for a 10% fps increase. Anyway, good luck to you with your choice.
This laptop is better than all competitors because of the reasonable price, screen and processor. Especially the processor, it's incredibly cool. I also love backlighting on laptops and that's a plus too. I noticed only one minus - the processor in turbo mode heats up to 95 ~, which is considered the norm according to the manufacturer, but personally such numbers cause discomfort for me.
It only has an RTX 4060 you’re not going to be playing much at 1440 P, also it’s pretty overkill for the refresh rate. And I’ve seen this at Walmart for $1399, and you could certainly get a much better desktop!

I updated the Ram to 32 just because I like multitasking. besides that this gaming laptop is always at 65-70 + fps on ANY game. is insane.
Was the upgrade simple? I’m looking at getting one of these to replace a desktop for photo editing and gaming.

flawlessly!
Is it possible to upgrade it to 64gb at 5200? And how many ssd slots it has?
