Not exactly. Three B744 are still left in India. VT-EVA has left. VT-ESO and VT-ESP will also leave in the future. VT-EVB will continue to remain in India as a museum or be scrapped in BOM itself or permanently stored in BOM's junkyard.

It will take the year 2027 atleast to reach the full fledge TATA's quality. (TATA planned extensive five-year transformation roadmap called Vihaan in 2022 to uplift the Maharajah to its past glory). I have patience and strong will to see that happening, do you?

What an iconic moment for our country the very first Boeing 747 - 400 in red paint launched in an early 90s it was my dream that one fineday I will travel abroad by this model of Air - India unfortunately it got banned I wanna suffer just once with my Air India Boeing 747 - 400 in red paint .......... 😭😭😭😭😭
Air India's first 747 was named Emperor Ashoka, which crashed of the coast of Mumbai, on New year's day.

Edit OK actually this plane is destroyed, it got scrapped in 2011 after catching fire in 2009

My first experience boing 747 400 was in 1997 March . Mumbai Chicago via Frankfurt then Chicago Mumbai via London Heathrow, was just awesome, I was 16 at that time

Off with the old and on with the new. Air India, which hopefully is in the process of being revitalized, now has more modern and fuel efficient airlines in its fleet. That includes the Boeing 787 and the Airbus 350 which could provide better inflight amenities as compared to the Boeing 747.

Air india didn’t get there Boeing 747 in 1993, AI182 got bombed in 1983 and that plane was a 747
True but those are b747-200 and these are it's facelift b747-400
Looks a proud moment for all of is.sad.news is that now this plane no longer exists and boeing has stoppend making these planes and
they didnt stop the production yet.
Lufthansa Korean Air Saudi Arabia airlines and other cargo airlines still operate them

Boeing 747 has many variant like B747-100, B747-200, B747-300, B747-400, etc. B747-200 was inducted in 1971 while B747-400 was inducted in 1993.

Clarification to Viewers, Boeing 747 Air India was Launch Customer in 1971. Air Bus A 300 also, Airbus A 320 next to launch. According to some reports Airbus Industries was saved by Indiragandhi by buying unsold Airbus A 300's. Western Media never tell this. The Boeing 747 -400 (Big Top)VT-EVA was one of the last acquisition of B744 by Air India. Its life was prolonged this long just for the arrival of VVIP Boeing 773 for India.
