BMW has officially unveiled the highly anticipated 2025 BMW M3 CS Touring, a performance-driven estate that takes the beloved M3 Touring to new heights. Revealed on the eve of the Bathurst 12 Hours endurance race in Australia, this stunning family hauler packs all the thrills of the M3 sedan but with the added practicality of an estate design. However, it's important to note that the M3 CS Touring will not be sold in the United States, making it even more exclusive for other markets.
At the heart of the M3 CS Touring lies a powerhouse 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, twin-turbocharged for maximum performance. BMW has pushed the boost levels up to 30 psi, increasing output to a staggering 543 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. This represents a 20-horsepower improvement over the standard M3 Competition, allowing for improved acceleration and a truly exhilarating driving experience.
The M3 CS Touring is equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission that powers all four wheels, contributing to lightning-fast acceleration. The car can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, reaching 200 km/h in a mere 11.7 seconds. With the M Driver’s Package fitted as standard, the top speed is electronically limited to an impressive 300 km/h, making the M3 CS Touring an absolute beast on the road.
To enhance its driving dynamics, BMW has fine-tuned the car’s suspension system. The electronically-controlled dampers have been modified for improved performance, and a new front-end structural brace increases body rigidity, further improving handling. The braking system has also been upgraded, with an option for carbon-ceramic discs, ensuring that this high-performance estate can stop on a dime. Of course, the exhaust system has been designed to match the car's aggressive performance, with adjustable valves and a titanium rear silencer for that unmistakable M sound.
Weight reduction has been a key focus for the M3 CS Touring, with BMW shaving off 33 pounds from the car's overall mass. The car benefits from lightweight carbon fiber parts, including a new hood, front splitter, air intakes, wing mirror caps, and rear diffuser. Additionally, the M3 CS Touring rides on new M light-alloy wheels, 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear, adding to the car’s athletic stance.
Visually, the M3 CS Touring gets some distinct updates. While the iconic kidney grilles remain, they now feature a more open design with sharper surfaces for a more aggressive look. The car’s LED daytime running lights sport a yellow tint, paying homage to BMW’s motorsport pedigree. A new rear lip spoiler further adds to the sporty appeal, while the cabin gets an upgrade with M Carbon bucket seats and an M Alcantara steering wheel with illuminated CS badges.
The 2025 BMW M3 CS Touring isn’t just a performance machine-it’s also a luxurious family car. Customer deliveries will begin in March 2025, with the car available in key markets like Europe, Australia, Japan, and South Korea. Prices for the M3 CS Touring start at £120,600 in the UK and AU$253,900 in Australia. BMW has yet to announce how many units will be produced, making this high-performance estate even more exclusive.
