- I have been salivating over this Ford BRONCO ever since I saw pictures of the 2017 SEMA Bronco Build Traxxas had at their booth. It was JACKED UP, Original and Caught my Eye, IMMEDiATELY! This truck takes me wayyyy back to my earlier years.. and these trucks used to roam free throughout the 1980's. They were the "Go Anywhere, Cool Guy" Truck to have.. and in my opinion - STiLL iS! Love these older rigs.. they remind me.. well, of me. Hah! Let's unbox this truck, and compare it to my Traxxas 1/10 Scale TRX4 Tactical Unit.

The bronco hands-down, I've had mine for months now and it is a performer, it might just be my favorite trail rig now. You're going to love it medic.
I absolutely love mine, I've had a blast ripping around my farm and out in my pastures. I was surprised at how well built it was and how great it handles everything I put it up against.
I’m 49 years old and I have been in the Hobby for 20 years. I will more than likely still be in the Hobby when I am an old man and I will still feel like a 10 year old every time I unbox a new rig! I will also always feel like a kid at Christmas when I am waiting for parts to arrive at the house! Hmmm...... Maybe I will tell my wife to bury me with my Radio a lipo and Favorite Rig so I can Back flip over the Pearly Gates!

I always thought it was just my OCD triggering at the sound of the dreaded "lexan rattle." This is exactly the type of trivial detail that would actually make me choose one brand/model over another :-)

I've owned 3 full scale 79 Bronco's... never stopped kicking myself for selling them, especially the last one. Amazing truck, especially with a 460 swapped in for that M series boat anchor... er, "motor". This appears to be loosely based on Ford's "Free wheelin' paint scheme. Awesome rig, though it's missing the spare tire rack on the tailgate!

That bronco body is just perfect! I wish there was a hard body like this to use it on something less plastic than on a trx-4 .

I've watched your videos but this one is what convinced me I need to get back to RCs, my last one was a Countach body on a monster truck platform and I have a tracked Land Shark buggy style RC back in the 90's. I love the old style Broncos so what I did was purchase the TRX-4 Bronco, the chrome bumper guard, spare tire carrier, and LED kit.
Definitely the Bronco. My first vehicle was a red 1980 with a white cap. I need this truck in my life.

I'd rather be ripping in my 1971 black lowered F 100 short bed bump side p.u., but between those two defiantly the big bad Bronco. In high school a buddy of mine had a red one, man we went all over in that thing, partying, wheeling,working you name it, these were good good times. I had a 78, bought in 79, with the same Sunset scheme.
SRT Viper 51 Probably wasn't clear when I said I'd rather be ripping in my 1971 f100 which is the body style before the Broncos. 67 to 72 were called bump sides, because of the bump on the side. BRONCOS such as the one on r.c sparks video is called a dentside because of the Dent on the side 1973 to 1979. Thanks for sharing. Have a good one. Peace bro.
SRT Viper 51, He's not talking about a step side,he's talking about the body line down the length of the truck. Late 60's and early 70's year model trucks are known as bump sides because the body line comes out,like a bump,and later 70's model trucks,like this Bronco,are called dent sides and go in,like a dent. This one is hard to see that because of the chrome trim on it covering the "dent". Get it? Dent side and bump side...

The Bronco have a less longer wheel base to be able to put another body :) as well the wheel well on the chassis is an good thing for custom body

I would argue that it's a less longer wheel base than other models... however it does tend to have a shorter wheel base that makes it more difficult to ad other style bodies...
That’s the whole reason why he said that it has a less longer one because it’s easier to fit more bodies on it unlike the defender

The wheelbase is different . The bronco has the standard 12.3
and it is adjustable ;)

I bought two of these just for the bodies. I have the red one and sunset body just to have just because they’re so cool. Reminds me of my 79 short bed F150 Lariat pickup! I could care less for the trucks themselves, I parted them out on Ebay.

its been like 2 decades since I was into RCs when I was a kid, bought a taxxas 79 bigfoot, fav ford body style and monster truck, love how much fun the truck is, crawling looks like a blast and have been looking for another ford and after watching this video....I must have one, even if I don't get into crawling, cause this is a 1/10th scale if the bronco I have in my driveway. liked the vid, thanks for posting.

I know i'm nearly 2 years behind. I just got the Bronco last night and had the same reaction "too pretty to do a running video". The truck is gorgeous. Sadly, the Tactical has been discontinued. Medic, thank you for all that you do for the global RC community.

When I was in high school that truck came out and a friend got one all our jaws dropped when he pulled into the school parking lot I always wanted one and now my dream of owning one is real I’m buying this truck!
I was lucky enough to get one of the first Broncos that was delivered to my local hobby shop and I absolutely love it. It compliments my (well now my wife's) defender nicely. Such a great rig.
