Originally introduced in 1966 as a 4x4 compact SUV, the Ford Bronco matured as a full-size truck in the late 1970s, cementing its status as a rugged off-roader. I’m sitting in a dark corner rolling a transmitter wheel back and forth, sweating, white knuckling the throttle and all I can think about is hitting that PAY NOW button but my WiFi is on he fritz. There’re dead lipos strewn about the house and I’m out of diff lube. It’s pretty bad. . 😆

That was such a good running video I had to watch it twice. The Bronco will be my next truck. I have a TRX-4 fully modded out with brass down low. I also took the spare tire rack off. That made a big difference crawling. I only carry light accessories on the top cargo rack. I can go almost everywhere I could not go before!
Im using metal alloy bead locks and BF Goodrich Crawler tires. I used to hate crawling up rocks, not anymore! My TRX-4 has turned into a TANK! Lots of added weight down low and make the body as light s a feather. Thats what changed the game for me!

Now three times! This is exactly why I'm a huge fan of Traxxas. When you get these trucks set up right they are a BEAST on the rocks! I just put the original Traxxas tires back on and I'm shocked at how well they eat up whatever I put in front of them. Can't go wrong with a Traxxas. I've called that company to ask a question and a week later there is a present in the mail from them. They warranty stuff well out of the warranty period. Plus a great buy back if you need a new motor or pretty much anything worn out. You turn in old stuff and pay half of what a new part cost. The only thing to ever break on any of my Traxxas trucks was because I said "watch this shit" before breaking something! LOL! I'm heading home from work to play right now!

Does that have a drag brake? Couple spots on a descent didn't look like it has one.
Drag Brake is set weakly ~
It is just the settings when buy trx4 first time ~
I forgot how good the Bronco looks without a push bar or spare tire! Got the Defender when it came out. Same with the sunset Bronco. I put a about a 1lb of brass on the unsprung side of the Defender. Had to since the body is so heavy. I left the Bronco alone. The Bronco is my favorite! I put factory light kits on both. Including rock lights. Pro-Line Hyrax tires on both. Great video! I like to hear the truck and nature in the background.

My Bronco was just as nice as yours. Then I put a battery in & turned it on for the first time. Now, a year later, you can't find new scratches because they blend in with all the old ones! I'm taking my Bronco out today because of your video!

Magnetic body mounts? I found myself cringing every time a bumper or the body scrape the rocks, did it bother you the first time you took it out? Lol

really nice video and it's great to see someone not abusing their truck I have the Tactical Unit got it for Christmas and picked up the Bronco last Saturday haven't had a chance to run it yet but I'm really looking forward to it for some reason the tires on the Tactical Unit seem to be a lot sponger than the ones on my Bronco don't know what that's all about unless it's the foam,

Hey Pop Wall, debating myself on getting either the Bronco or the Tactical, how would you say they compare? The shorter wheel base on the bronco is intriguing to be able to get passed sharper edges but the weigh division on the tactical seems better. Which would climb and crawl better you think? :)
I have a slash 4x4. Going to trade in on the BRONCO.. AWESOME AWESOME.. climb VERY WELL

Traxxas Summit or Traxxas TRX4?
Edit:1/10 scale Summit or 1/10 scale trx4?
Which 1 should I get?
If you are contacting RC for the first time, I would recommend Summit ~ :D
Yeah, go with the Summit if you are just getting into rc trucks. The Summit is something you can bash and swamp and do flips without worrying about the body. Not nearly as detailed. On the flip side, the Summit also has a low gear, locking diffs and an independent suspension with a crazy amount of wheel travel. You can put one tire on top of a 16 oz can and the other 3 will still be on the ground! It crawls well, but not quite as well as the trx4. Low ground clearance too, unless you adjust or mod it to stand higher. Also, the Summit runs on two 7 cell battery packs and has a 750 motor! You get a good 20 minutes of bashing/ mudding, etc or about 45 minutes of crawling/ trailing. Been running one for 6 years. It was my first truck and 4 trucks into the hobby, it's still my favorite! Thinking of selling off the others so I can get a trx4 though. Crawling is my favorite thing to do.

The disadvantage is that it is hard to make other hard body ~

What kind of battery are you using on the bronco
I’m too addicted to rc cars it started with a axial scx 24 and a little track the Christmas after that it was a Traxxas hoss then I for my birthday I got a Traxxas rustler and now I may end up with a trx4 79’ bronco

How did you hide the body pins? The model I got from Traxxas had exposed body pins, 2 on the back area of the roof and the generic 2 through the hood
I've secured the body with a magnet.

Love the video! Did you edit out any of the sound? This is such a quiet truck considering it has a two speed and portals. Lots of gear noise usually.
