2024 update, this vinyl is used on the front and rear emblem. I have had 0 issues since installation of flaking, cracking, etc. it has been holding up VERY well.

I think swapping the badging all depends on the color or your RC F, and of course, individual preference. On the white, I like the new "smoke" or darker emblem. On my 2018 Infared, I actually love the chrome and wouldn't swap it out. Kinda goes well with the chrome driver side and passenger side chrome window trim along with the chrome "RC" on the trunk.
Yep such a small detail that can completely change the aesthetics of your car with what you want it to be!

Broski it much easier if you heat gun and thread it..it works a lot better and brings the risk of scratching the paint or cracking the emblem..you run a thread behind it pulling it down side to side as if you were cutting through it..👍🏼
Yep - I’ve done that method before on older cars. But the heat gun on this specific application is excessive and not needed. Floss could also work just fine but the composition of this specific car adhesive along with the age, prying between the adhesive and emblem should suffice.
The tool was soft enough not to cause scratches.
Bro that came out looking nicer than before, the original silver emblem looks kinda stale, this black one really makes it stand out nicely. Just wondering how was the tinting process? Would you be able to walk me thru it quickly. Im wondering how you applied it and got it looking smooth and how you cut it to shape perfectly. Cheers
Appreciate it! I didn’t video tape it, but used some videos on TH-cam. Basically, you clean the emblem, get a spray bottle with water, saturate the emblem. Once wet, lay the vinyl piece starting from the inside, working your way slowly to the outside. Take an exacto knife and trim the edges.
The emblem still sticking til this day without any need to redo.
It was a great idea to tint it, gives it a nice cool stealth look and less factory. Im wondering how you trimmed the edges lol. Did you cut right where it curved or did you bring the vinyl over the edge and cut it from almost the back of the emblem if you know what I mean. Just want to make sure the best way to cut for longevity and minimize peeling of some sort.
I just cut on the edge when it starts to curve.
I forgot to mention, use a hair drier/heat gun on low as well. Helps to mold the vinyl. You will see once you do it, the best place to cut.

I liked the stock emblem better bro it looked way cleaner and elegant..I have the same car but in black and I love the chrome emblem I’m thinking about doing a very light smoke vinyl tint on it..but I love how there open/hallow instead of the full solid circle..you should think about putting the stock emblem back on but tint it next time it will look really good..but either way your car looks really nice great job 👍🏼

Would you say the invidia cold start is loud enough to wake neighbors? Or can you just put it into drive/reverse to drop the rpm so it isnt so loud early mornings? Thanks
Javier Rabbit it’s definitely going to rumble. It’s far from obnoxiously loud though.
Also. The cold start cycle only lasts a few second before toning down.

And if you have a drill you just get one of those rubber adhesive remover attachments. Those work way faster than goo gone
Yeah just vinyl smoke tint. I’ve heard about those. They work but more room for error and I didn’t have one lol

MJN. RCF yeah I mentioned last time typically that is what I have used in the past. Saw some others have good success with the trim tools. Worked like a charm.

@@BWItoATXF a lite smoke of the tails would be good i may do the same ....how do you like the invidia are your resonators deleted?
@@davidwade7681 The catback replaces the midpipe that has the resonators. I was debating on removing the resonators on the catback, but will probably keep when ever I choose to go headers.
