Orlando, your dealership is ripping you off. You should review your warranty and maintenance guide that came with your car. The 15k service for your RC 350 F Sport according to Lexus is only the following: ❑ Inspect and adjust all fluid levels ❑ Replace Smart Key battery ❑ Reset maintenance reminder light ❑ Visually inspect brake pads, calipers and rotors ❑ Check installation of driver’s floor mat ❑ Road-test vehicle ❑ Inspect the following No real work here, and should only be charged 1hr labor. Obviously I would do this myself and save the $150. Engine air filter doesn't need to be changed until 30k. If I were you I would only take it in for the oil changes every 10k. Save yourself some money (a lot of money in your case) and skip the unnecessary 5k interval.
100% Ripping you off & most dealerships don't even do what they are charging you for. Much cheaper if you do it yourself & you don't even have to be a mechanic
Maintenance on a Benz does cost more. I think it's a good idea to service a car at the dealership in terms of fluid changes (oil, etc.) while in warranty. My local Lexus dealership did offer an instance discount on the schedule maintenance I had done. However, next time I'm doing most of the maintenance myself. They price match on tires as well. :-)
You don't have to slide up the touch sensitive temperature gauges. You can tap it to raise it or lower it. You can also get an oil change from any good reputable service station for a little cheaper, and as for the tires you can get some Kumhos for cheaper and also balance for cheaper.
I was really busy around the time I made the video some of the things I could've done myself. I wanted to explain the work/cost included at the dealership with each maint. cycle. I forgot to show that tapping on the arrows changes the temp lol. I ended up trading in for an RC F I rarely take it to the dealership, except for an oil change while it's in the standard 4-year warranty. Thanks for the helpful comment.
no one buys a lexus to take it to the dealership for servicing. That's only german cars. the beauty of lexus is that its easily serviceable like a toyota. All these maintenance could be done either by yourself or elsewhere for cheaper. Just have to be smart about it and cant rely on the dealership to take care of your own car.
@@Thettaco8899 are you joking? 10K miles? Holy Shiz. I use Royal Purple on my F'Ing prius just because I am lazy and don't want to change my oil that often and even then I only go 7K miles on that oil, and I highly doubt they're using $50 a gallon oil. Don't wait that long man, that's really bad for your motor.
I just test drove a RC 350 F Sport. The car is awesome. The handling and road feel is fantastic. When you are looking at the options for a sporty coupe that is AWD you get very limited options. This little coupe is incredibly cheap to maintain when you think about how intelligent the car is. I'd have no problem paying a $1,000 a year to maintain this thing. It has a very reliable engine and transmission. and for the most part these Lexus cars go 20 years before you start having to sink real money into them.
Definitely awesome car. The handling and road feel is one of the many reasons I bought the RC 350 F Sport. The maintenance costs are reasonable compared to other luxury brands. I would probably buy another Lexus. Thanks for the comment.
@@ISF77W this is a great point actually. Depending upon the Lexus model the costs over time and maintenance can get out of control. We have a 2000 Lexus LX470 and it replaced my 98 Land Cruiser. The lexus has gone through (Failed) the Pneumatic suspension, Ball Joints, Calipers, Alternator, Air conditioning unit and lines, steering rack, Steering assembly, Sunroof motor, all front suspension including the CV axles and the Hub, entire interior had to be replaced, and all of this was in about 6 years at a cost of over $10,000. However I did not end up buying the 350 I went with a 2010 Infiniti FX35 instead. It was almost as quick. But was without question the best car I have ever owned!
@@BURGANX i have an RC 350 F-sport model 2015 and it have only 110 miles Now im having a problem the stereo is not working one of the AC outlets is blowing a hot air
If you were to change the oil yourself and buy full synthetic oil and filter, it would cost about $17. 10 quarts of oil is about $12(after mail and rebate) and $5 for the oil filter. Lexus isn’t a BMW or Audi, they are reliable and cheap to maintain. It’s still a Toyota with a luxury brand name and I honestly wouldn’t buy any other cars due to the brand’s low cost in maintenance.
I agree. I saw the same prices/rebates on synthetic oil and a filter the other day. Moving forward, I'm definitely changing the oil on my own and other DIY maintenance to save money.
Well Lexus IS REALLY RELIABLE i can’t stress it enough my dad had his GS 300 for over 20 years and have 275,000 miles on it and it had no problems just common stuff like we ran out of gas or we got hit just minor scratches or just services but other then that it’s really reliable everyone im getting this for my graduation gift :)
I had no issues with RC350 F Sport, but my goal was to eventually get into an RC F. I love my RC F, just made a video another video about the 5 things I love about it. Congratulations on graduation and the gift!
The reason why i bought my lexus is because its reliable and the cheapest to maintain out of all the luxury brands. How? You can do maintance at a toyota. Ive been doing it for years with no problem. They did the same maintanance that you did on this video and rather it costing $300, it was only $115. Typical oil change is roughly $60. It use to cost $60 for a 3 time bundle. Dont believe me? Google it.
Same reasons I bought a Lexus. I spoke with someone a couple of days ago about what I spent on maintenance for my RC 350, they take their IS 350 to the local Toyota dealership for service...showed me the cost savings. Lesson learned. I believe you. Thanks.
The difference is in the amenities, Toyota Dealerships dont have as nice a facility as a Lexus Dealership. If you want to pay less, you have that choice. But when you need something from the dealer, perhaps assistance, they might not be as willing as they would someone that services at their dealer all the time.
Lmao ikr? Like $1400 for a new tire set? On a sports car? That is not bad at all. Try owning a porsche 911 where the labor rate at a dealer is $160 an hour and the oil change is close to $400
Here are my dislikes: 1) - The pockets on the door panels aren’t wide enough to get my hand in. They are too narrow and nearly useless. 2) As gorgeous as the interior is, there is nowhere to put anything aside from the glove compartment or center console. You can place things on the screen, but then it blocks your navigation or whatever your screen is set to display. You can use the cup holders but I commute with my travel mug, and believe it or not, the other cup holder is for my “ash tray” cup. Yes, I smoke in my car but you’d never know it. I shut the climate control, open all windows, and the roof as well. 3) Everything on the dash and console is lit up beautifully at night, but the buttons on the steering wheel are way too dim by comparison. I thought it was a problem, I brought it to the dealership who said that’s how it is, and nobody ever complained before. I am not convinced though, it’s such a drastic difference you’d think quality control or someone on the design team would have realized. Anyone else see the brightness difference on the steering wheel buttons? Same with the seat settings on the drivers door panel. They light up, but barely. None of these are showstoppers for me, I’d buy this car over in a heartbeat. If those are my only problems, I’ll take it and be grateful. It’s such an awesome looking, performing, and luxurious experience. The seats are amazingly comfortable. It drives more like a luxury car than a sports car. The comfort level is fantastic. The AWD handles the snow too, in fact, I can’t wait for it to snow.
@@chonglawgroupllc8259 - I’m just now seeing your response. I still have no idea if that’s just how Lexus does it or if it’s a problem, but compared to my other car and other cars I had, it’s ridiculously dim, I don’t know why they even bothered. But, like I said, not one single regret..
sheldon wong Pro-tip: don’t use the dealership for the maintenance, find a mechanic you trust and have them do the work. I guarantee there are a bunch near you that won’t rip you off like the dealership. Most of the maintenance is just checking things you can do yourself, like oil levels, tire pressure, brake pads, etc. a normal mechanic will do all these things for cheap, like $150 vs. the $350 Lexus will charge you. Also use the I termed to find tires, tirerack will save you a fortune on tires.
Hey Orlando, for the temperature control, you don't need to slide your fingers on the controls! If you want to change the temperature, just tap on the arrows!
Pro tip: take your Lexus to the Toyota side service department and get the same work done for cheaper. Been doing it for all our Lexus vehicles after the complimentary period. At first they say Lexus is on the other side, just be polite and say I’ll service it here. Get the Toyota pricing and same service that you would get. This also includes wipers, brakes, fluids, tire rotation, air filters and anything else.

a) You can just tap your finger on the a/c temp button. You tap on the higher side temp moves up. You tap on the lower side temp moves down. Easy. b) Are you just cheap? If you want quality tires you pay for them. They are all that separate you from the road. c) If you think that maintenance is expensive try another brand like Mercedes.
Don’t believe the maintenance the dealership tells you to do, go based on the owners guide it tells you exactly what should be done on X amount of miles. Dealerships will try so sell u unnecessary shit just to rip u off
When I made the video I was very busy with my job and did not have time for DIY maintenance, I should've of explained that in the video. The dealership was trying to do same thing with the RC F. Tried selling me the extended warranty, no thanks. I told them I will DIY what I can with my RC F. They were trying to sell me the maintenance plans I said, no thanks. They did say if I do the oil change myself, I need to buy the oil filter from them and keep the receipt so it does not void the warranty. I probably can buy the same oil filter from Toyota for less.
well,you have to pay-to-play esp with ANY premium top-tier brands and/or performance-oriented car,and NEVER do a dis-service to any performance-car by resorting to cheapo-tires.
Dealership usually charge people a lot more than necessary on the labor cost. I need to replace my full radiator unit on my 2011 Infiniti and dealer quote me $1,500 for oem parts and labor, plus tax. Then I visited my usual private garage (the place where i have my brake services done; and for some other family cars too). The owner quoted me $750 + tax for the same oem parts and work. So I figured that dealership maintenance cost is just a rip-off, I go to them mostly because of oil change that comes with car wash. Other major maintenance I am just gonna give it to my private auto shop in the neighborhood.
That's awesome you saved money. The dealership maintenance cost is definitely too expensive. I will DIY what I can but make sure it doesn't void the warranty (I will check the service manual.) I found a garage that specializes in Lexus and Toyota, the maintenance cost are reasonable. Thanks for for the feedback, I appreciate it.
Why even take it to a Lexus dealer?? Of course they are going to charge crazy prices. My local mechanic charges $40 for oil changes on most cars and maybe $65 for a higher end car that requires a certain type of oil. Plus he covers all the inspection stuff for free. Find yourself a good mechanic like that or learn to do it yourself. Don't let the dealership rip you off. If you still have this car that is lol. Hello from 2021
I traded for an RCF about three years ago. I change the oil myself every 5K and other DIY jobs. I’m learning how to do things on my own it’s saving me money. Thanks for the comment happy new year.
Jason Blade - Same here. Or, you can just hit the Talk button on the steering week and set the temp to a specific degree, or just say it’s too hot or too cold in here, you don’t even have to be exact. You can even say to make it colder or hotter. Give it a try, the AI is pretty good.
318$ to balance tires change filters and wipers?? You could have done all that yourself for less than $100 ( taking it to a local tire shop for balancing )
a services at the dealer is a rip-off because it cost an arm or leg. i have 2011 pilot and service at the dealer until 120k mile because i fall into there trap of warranty. I learn my lesson and never going to bring a car to be serviced at the dealer. i'll ask my best friends (google and youtube) on how-to service my car.
Few things: - why does your RC350 have the RC200t headlight cluster? - I have never had the temp change issues you had, but I agree a button is better - where did you get the boot spoiler?
The headlight cluster (& boot spoiler) came with the car, I could've of updated to the triple beam but didn't. The two years I owned the RC350, the temp slider worked most of the time but on a few occasions it did not. I was able to duplicate the temp problem at the service dept, they fix it.
The Lexus dealership I go to sells tires. I did receive a mailer from the dealership offering competitive prices on tires. Like you, I will probably get my tires from a tire shop. Thanks for the comment.
Tired they price match pretty great at dealerships. I’m at 10000 miles on IS 350 F Sport. And if I change tires later down road I get Michelin pilots at the dealership. I tell them to order for me. Connections. It helps.
It seems like paying those service plans up front to save 15%on service fees Is like paying the 15% or more upfront. Am I trippen for thinking that? I guess its all in the math right?
You’re right. One of the selling points of service plans, is to lock in prices for tier services (oil change, etc), all BS. I never bought nor will ever buy a service plan, it’s a revenue stream for dealerships. The IS350 I have now, I do all maintenance myself.
DON'T get ripped off by these dealer service intervals, you are lining their pockets with your cash!!! check oil every 3000 miles and change every 10,000miles with synthetic ( and thats very conservative) in your driveway for $35 (very easy to DIY, watch some videos. Drain into pan, remove filter, replace filte,r refill engine with oil, check for leaks, DONE!!!) until 50-60,000 mile mark for front brakes and inspect tire wear/replace if needed. Toyotas/lexus' don't require any more than that. KEEP YOUR CASH!!!
Just be lucky you're not driving a German M car. The diff, DCT, and engine oil change cost me about 1000 dollars and that's at an independent. From the dealer it may have been twice that.
The tire cost quote you gave, was that for two tires or each? Second if you buy a plan when buying the car, would it be financing it with interest on that? The temperature control is so stupid because trying to adjust the temperature driving on the road looks distracting. I personally like the look of this car and I love the black ones.
Each tire. I plan to shop around for tires. I'm sure the plan can be added with cost of the car, it will add extra interest to the financing. I would buy the plan separately using cash. I was considering buying the plan but it is not worth it to me anymore. The maintenance plans are more for customers that want to save money in terms of long term service costs and plan to keep their car for years. For example, I was told the 30K service maintenance is very expensive, buying a 30K maintenance plan in advance would save you up to 30% without the plan. I would ask the dealership for the break down of each plan. People leaving helpful comments here and doing my own research, I would rather DIY what I can without voiding the warranty. Then take my Lexus to the dealership for scheduled maintenance of things like an alignment and tune up. Adjusting the temperature while driving can be distracting at times. The black one was my first choice, but the one on the lot did not have the Mark Levinsion Audio and four-wheel steering. Thanks for the comment.
you do realize that you dont have to start at the bottom of the temperature touch pad, right? I've never had this issue but I also start at the middle of the touch sensor.
Definitely pay more for service since it’s a luxury brand, but I would find a trusted mechanic or go to Toyota it will save you money. I do the basic maintenance myself after this service visit. They did apply a discount and rebate off the $320 charge. Learning how to change the oil, wipers, etc myself has saved me a lot of money the last few years. It’s also 😎 to gain auto skills!
Lexus all it needs is oil changes. Changing transmission fluid every 30-60k. Take it to Toyota they will do it cheaper than Lexus lol. Tires and brakes.. coolant flush at 100k miles. If you want to keep your car do NOT replace the oil change every 10k miles!!!!!! You will have worn piston rings pass the 100k miles. Change every 4-5k and it will last forever.
😂 I’m still getting roasted for this video after all these years. I do all the oil changes (every 5K) myself and other DIY jobs with my RCF....When I said that to the Lexus service advisor they responded, “...oh but you let us do it before. My response: Yeah, I couldn’t believe I spent all that money it was rip off. I just want an alignment done. How much is it? Nah, I’ll have it done some place else. Life is about learning from mistakes. Nowadays, I find it rewarding working on my cars and figuring out how things work.
@@orlandojacinto1 yeah saw your video since I am buying a RC 300 on Monday lol. I owned a Lexus before and use to change it every 10k miles but the car was eating through 3 quarts of oil pass 140k miles. Alignment Toyota does it for like $130-140 forgot and NTB does a great job if you have one around your area. I use to change my own oil but.. it only cost like $50-60 for a mechanic shop to do it.
30k miles car change oil filter and oil every 10k, break fluid, a quarter of transmission fluid (not flush), break fluid and possibly power steering fluid. that's all u need for 30k miles. if you dont know what you are doing ofc you'll get ripped of at any dealership. the service you got probably u have to pay $100 outside. Considering lexus is a luxury car, your service is still cheap. mbenz service A $275, Service B almost $500 now.
oh and air filter (depending if it's dirty or not you can check it yourself). Break pads also usually wears out after 30k + miles depending on your driving style.
I feel regret getting my IS350 for 50k.I should have bought 2018 V6 Camry XSE under 40k..my lexus didnt came with lane departure..the camry came with lane departure, bird eyes view..the maintenance pretty expensive..
don't go to the dealer for tires or oil changes. Lexus rips you off at the service center. I have a Lexus but I know a mechanic that has done all the work to my car and he gives me good prices.
Why would you ever service your Lexus at a dealer for anything EXCEPT an oil change... It's literally a rip off in every other way... Just read your manual and check the fluids on your own and a balance at discount tire runs like 20$
Hi, Orlando. What exactly did they do at that service visit to cost that much? I know you clarified and said they just balanced the tires, so I was curious. Thanks!
Hi Eleanor. The 15K mile maintenance service includes: Four wheel alignment, balance all tires, clean air filters (not change), replace the key fob battery, thorough inspection, top off all fluids, replace wiper blades, and clean the car inside out. Most of the cost is from the four wheel alignment and tire balance. I did get 15% (about $45) off the service from a mailer I received from the dealer. Next time, I plan to DIY some of the items myself. Btw...I mentioned my next oil change (recommended every 10K) is at 25K miles, it is actually at 20K. Synthetic oil is used that is why it cost about $90.00. Hope this helps. Thanks for the comment.
Yeah it's crazy how much they charge for scheduled maintenance at a Lexus dealership but that comes with owning a luxury car. I did it this one time, but I'm taking my Lexus to either Toyota or authorized shop for things like an alignment, tire balance, etc. Oil changes and other things I'm doing myself.
Damn!😱😳 That's an absolute rip off dude, ffs!🤬🥵 Lexus are totally taking advantage of you dude😮😢! Please be more wise! Nonetheless, keep up the decent work with your channel.
You know if you keep clicking in the arrow up it will raise it up and work 100% of the time in temperature same with the low arrow. I own a Lexus so there you go lol
Buy michelin and buy oil from Walmart .. just put tiresfirst time on my daughters rx350 the fac tires sucked .. I didn’t buy the plan or wheel protection guy got mad
Stop taking it to a stealer ship, you can take it to a trusted shop. Just because you have a Lexus doesn't mean you have to take it there for service. I have had many Lexus vehicles and I own 2 now. Never been to the dealership, add extended warrantee is BS and way over priced for a glorified Toyota.
I traded the rc350 a couple years ago. Yeah those recommended services are unnecessary, dealer revenue stream. I had an RCF did my own maintenance and now have an IS350 doing my maint as well. I receive email reminders from the dealership it’s time for maintenance, I said, no thank you I change my own oil and in cabin air filter 😂
I just think you don’t know how to shop around. You probably going to the dealership to get Maintenance. Also if this is an issue you should have gotten a Kia.
Kia has some very good cars, but I prefer Toyota and Nissan. I take my cars for some maintenance only when I don’t have time. I help manage/engineer corporate data centers it can be very time consuming. This video was made in good fun lol!
Here's what I hate about my 2017 Lexus RC350 F Sport AWD. 1) The entire center stack. The design isn't very nice. Mazda and Kia have nicer center stacks. Look at the buttons for "Media" in this video; they're just plastic nubs. It's terrible. 2) The track pad! WHY?! That thing is an abomination. It's slow to respond, inconsistent, and hard to predict where your cursor will go since it snaps to buttons. You'd think that would help, but it doesn't since you still have to look at the screen to know what's selected. 3) The infotainment system UI. This is related to the track pad, but look at how many things show up in multiple places for no reason. Climate information display, for example, shows up on the nav screen when you make a change. Why? There's a dedicated display to show that all the time! Why repeat it? Better yet, why have the cheap car looking display at all. Just put that information in the nav screen. 4) The back seat has no cup holders at all and yet the RC F (I had one for four days) has TWO cup holders in the back seat. Again, WHY?! No one wants to sit in the back of an RC F and even if they do, you sure don't want them drinking anything! Those cup holders should be in the RC350. 5) No touch screen or Android Auto. Look Lexus, you make really nice cars but why are you reinventing the wheel? Let Google and Apple integrate with your cars and stop wasting money on your track pad and infotainment! Especially the voice command thing. It just doesn't work very reliably. Here's what I love about my Lexus RC350. 1) I leased it and I get to give it back! 2) Since it's leased, I don't pay for maintenance! Lexus pays for it; it's their car after all. 3) The AWD in the snow is really amazing. 4) The seats are quite comfortable and I'm glad to have both heated and cooled options. 5) It's just enough fun that I'm not constantly on the verge of losing my license (that's what the RC F is for, stupid fun). I really do like the car. It is a fun car as a daily driver and despite that center stack business, it has a very nice and comfortable interior. I just don't see myself wanting to keep it long term. There are too many other interesting options out there.
Yes the center console is very bad Lexus should not have put the screen so deep into the console. The problem with the infotainment system is the software, slight improvement with the 2018. I traded for an RC F back in April, it so fun to drive! As you know, the seats in the RC F are just as comfortable. However, the drive is not as comfortable (feel more of the road) as the RC350 but I like it nonetheless since it's sportier.
Ride quality of the RC F was one of the main reasons I gave it back after just 4 days. Everyone that drove with me was getting car sick within minutes. It was a blast to drive that car, but only for me. Lexus tried really hard to get me to keep the RC F, but that was partly because they really didn't want to pay to fix the paint on my RC350. It was covered in holograms and scratches from a bad polish job. In the end, they paid for the fix and I kept the RC350. Also, my wife didn't even realize that I had the RC F instead of the RC350. They're very similar in appearance, both inside and out. I just couldn't see the value in doing the swap, but I won't lie, for a day or so I was very tempted! :-)
I do miss the smooth ride of the RC350, but the RC F is so much fun to drive. The cabin can be loud at times from the V8 along with the road noise depending on road you were driving on that made people car sick. The V8 at idle during stops was annoying at first but I got use to it, passengers don't like.
Before watching this it has to be the power, this car should be a turbo six or a NA v8 around 400hp atleast. I wanted an rc350 f sport but when I found out at the dealership it only comes in a NA v6 with 311hp 280tq I told him I’m going to pass on this. It’s over priced and underpowered. If I could afford an LC500 or even the RC F I would of bought it but I went a totally different direction and bought a new and custom ordered 21 challenger TA392 widebody.
Lexus definitely could done more with the rc350 f sport with a reasonable price point. The RCF is great car but over priced. Yeah the Challenger TA392 is awesome!
The video was made to point things about the RC350 I hate rather Dislike. If I could back, I would have made this video differently and with a different title. No LC500 filler, my bad. This video was not meant to be insensitive, I’m sorry you saw it that way it was not my intention. I love cars, I like to share that passion with others in the car community, my videos show that.
Loving the Vlogs Orlando!
Thanks. Happy New Year!

Engine air filter doesn't need to be changed until 30k.
If I were you I would only take it in for the oil changes every 10k. Save yourself some money (a lot of money in your case) and skip the unnecessary 5k interval.
gkcmilner gotta love the “check installation of driver’s floor mat” - really.....

I wanna know why ur notreveals the problems in the car and howshameful for lexus as it is a luxury car
@@BURGANX i have an RC 350 F-sport model 2015 and it have only 110 miles
Now im having a problem the stereo is not working one of the AC outlets is blowing a hot air
I agree but also keep in mind on some Toyota/Lexus models that once you change the oil or do any maintenance yourself, it voids your warranty.
Thanks. I'll that in mind.
landon Holland that is actually not true and would be illegal in the U.S.
Orlando Jacinto thankq brodie 🖤
@@orlandojacinto1Buy the RCF Used w/ low mls.& Check car fax to see if maint.was done @dealer
I did and sold it, big mistake. Eventually will get into another one. Miss the V8 engine sound.
If your worried about what the maintenance cost is on a Lexus maybe you shouldn't buy one and get a Hyundai
Eric Cadena Hyundai maintenance is ridiculously expense too.
ridiculously expensive wtf? are you on minimum wage or something
NO they ARE expensive. Genesis Coupe 3.8 cost more than the AVERAGE Hyundai to maintain. Not quite as much as lexus but more than honda!💯🤓
Lmao ikr? Like $1400 for a new tire set? On a sports car? That is not bad at all. Try owning a porsche 911 where the labor rate at a dealer is $160 an hour and the oil change is close to $400
@@WhiteLusterChaos my Chevy dealership is 154 dollars an hour.....ridiculous.
you gotta stop staring into my soul when you look at the camera, gotta be more relaxed
I will. If I could back, I would've made the video shorter and straight forward.
Here are my dislikes:
1) - The pockets on the door panels aren’t wide enough to get my hand in.
It’s dim...funny how I thought the same with mine. It’s normal from what the dealership said.
Ok
@@chonglawgroupllc8259 - I’m just now seeing your response. I still have no idea if that’s just how Lexus does it or if it’s a problem, but compared to my other car and other cars I had, it’s ridiculously dim, I don’t know why they even bothered. But, like I said, not one single regret..
Just leased a 2019. Looking forward to the same 1st world problems. :)
sheldon wong Pro-tip: don’t use the dealership for the maintenance, find a mechanic you trust and have them do the work.
Cool.
Hey Orlando, for the temperature control, you don't need to slide your fingers on the controls! If you want to change the temperature, just tap on the arrows!
I know thanks Ra99ms! The slider works better on the new IS.
U can even just put ur finger on it and it can run as a rocket
Yes, it worked. I just needed to press on it it bit more.
you can change the temperature settings with the touch pad too
I know didn’t mentioned it but will in a future IS350 video.
I do most maintenance myself now.
Same, just request a master tech
Get the Continental Tires,Can't remember the # but I got 2 Rears for $750 inclusive of Road Hazard Warr.& Balancing1 & Treadware Rating is Much Higher 480.For a 60 Series Name Brand ,Best Deal. Its what Orig. @edcain9492 Thanks for the suggestion but traded it, I have an IS350 F Sport now I will look into getting Continentals. Bridgestones seem to grip well in rain.
a) You can just tap your finger on the a/c temp button. You tap on the higher side temp moves up. You tap on the lower side temp moves down. Easy.
b) Are you just cheap? If you want quality tires you pay for them. They are all that separate you from the road.
c) If you think that maintenance is expensive try another brand like Mercedes.
I'm not cheap I traded in for RC F.
You don’t have to touch it from the bottom. If you want it hotter just touch the top and hold until you get the desired temperature
Thanks. It seems to work better on the IS.
Thanks for the info. Will be picking mine up in about 10 days.
You're welcome and congrats!
Nothing but the best for my premium cars.
How can I fix my right size AC, its always warm while the others are usually cold
There is no right side AC it’s all one unit. Make sure the vent is fully open try the dial knob.
My RCF temperature strips work first time every time. I'd say bring that up with your service advisor
I will. Thanks.
Jason Blade - Same here. Or, you can just hit the Talk button on the steering week and set the temp to a specific degree, or just say it’s too hot or too cold in here, you don’t even have to be exact. You can even say to make it colder or hotter. Give it a try, the AI is pretty good.
The non matching tires ( and expensive brakes) are a problem with most sports cars.
Especially with a Lexus.
The guest lounge looks like for old ppl
They recently remodeled.
Lexus dealerships love you! I bet they charged you for the blinker fluid as well...
If you still got some cake, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I could get you for a severely reduced rate...
the sell blinker fluid at autozone too, i just bought some
Not anymore. I do my own maintenance.
318$ to balance tires change filters and wipers?? You could have done all that yourself for less than $100 ( taking it to a local tire shop for balancing )
Yeah, I look back at the video geez can't believe I paid that much, live n learn. Now, I do basic maint to my QX70 and RCF.
a services at the dealer is a rip-off because it cost an arm or leg. i have 2011 pilot and service at the dealer until 120k mile because i fall into there trap of warranty. I learn my lesson and never going to bring a car to be serviced at the dealer. i'll ask my best friends (google and youtube) on how-to service my car.
Yeah. I learned my lesson as well, that's life. I've been doing all the maintenance on my RC F.
Need to have a streetable wheel and tire , low profile tires don’t hold op to potholes.
Any suggestions?
My pet peeve is when the mechanic rotates the tires, changes the oil, then drives the car to the reception area with his greasy hands.
Hasn't happened yet. But it will suck when it does.
Few things:
- why does your RC350 have the RC200t headlight cluster?
- I have never had the temp change issues you had, but I agree a button is better
- where did you get the boot spoiler?
The headlight cluster (& boot spoiler) came with the car, I could've of updated to the triple beam but didn't. The two years I owned the RC350, the temp slider worked most of the time but on a few occasions it did not. I was able to duplicate the temp problem at the service dept, they fix it.
But Lexus is not a tire shop. I get my tires someplace that specifically sells tires. Made the same mistake you did though.
It helps.
1 thing I hate about my lexus
My Lexus doesn't exist
I said the same thing worked hard for it (took a couple of years) bought one used.
The temperature thing is really easy to use actually, u just have to get used to it
Thanks Ryan.
I love the Temperature touch sliders on my is350
It seems like paying those service plans up front to save 15%on service fees Is like paying the 15% or more upfront.
I’ve been doing basic maintenance myself since I made this video.
Just be lucky you're not driving a German M car. The diff, DCT, and engine oil change cost me about 1000 dollars and that's at an independent. From the dealer it may have been twice that.
Wow. Definitely a lot more at the dealer.
The 3 things I hate about my 2016 RC 300:
1. It's not a LC 500
2. Its underpowered
3. The maintenance cost
I won’t be making videos like any more. I haven’t taken my Lexus to service except if was complimentary I do myself.
you do realize that you dont have to start at the bottom of the temperature touch pad, right? I've never had this issue but I also start at the middle of the touch sensor.
Yep and the touch sensitive buttons at the top and bottom of the slider will adjust the temp fine. The temp slider works fine in my RC F.
Is maintenance expensive on this car besides takin it to a dealer really lookin forward to getting this car any advice anyone?
@@chickenricesteak541 😎 I’ll check with Toyota. There’s NTB in my area. Thanks!
Amazing car. The hardtop convertible(LFc2) needs to hurry up and come out!!!
Me too. Can't wait.
Ey talking about the tires. I was wondering are you saying it cost 3 to 4 hundred each tires? Or for all four tires?
For each tire.
I think the pros outweigh the cons on this deal, You'll pay those prices on a Honda...😎
Yeah I do that maintenance myself now.
I feel regret getting my IS350 for 50k.I should have bought 2018 V6 Camry XSE under 40k..my lexus didnt came with lane departure..the camry came with lane departure, bird eyes view..the maintenance pretty expensive..
A friend just bought the V6 Camry XSE they love it. Nice interior.
CAL Pin could of got a low mileage new one for like 15k+ less easy
Impressive didn’t know anyone would care about such cheap maintenance cost when purchasing a mid tier luxury car
Thanks
don't go to the dealer for tires or oil changes. Lexus rips you off at the service center. I have a Lexus but I know a mechanic that has done all the work to my car and he gives me good prices.
I change the oil myself now. I buy the recommended oil and get the oil filter & drain plug from the service center while in warranty.
Why would you ever service your Lexus at a dealer for anything EXCEPT an oil change... It's literally a rip off in every other way... Just read your manual and check the fluids on your own and a balance at discount tire runs like 20$
Live and learn. I do my own maintenance now.
great video
Thanks!
60k miles on mine, still the same fob batteries lol
How long do the tires last?
I didn't keep the car long enough to find out.
30.000 mile service can be up to $1500
Yeah it's crazy how much they charge for scheduled maintenance at a Lexus dealership but that comes with owning a luxury car. I did it this one time, but I'm taking my Lexus to either Toyota or authorized shop for things like an alignment, tire balance, etc. Oil changes and other things I'm doing myself.
YES IT'S EXPENSIVE BUT IT'S ALSO A SPORTS COUPE. . . WORTH EVERY PENNY
Exactly.

It would be cool. The LC 500 has a 10 speed automatic.
Just get an RC-F if performance is what you're looking for.
You know if you keep clicking in the arrow up it will raise it up and work 100% of the time in temperature same with the low arrow. I own a Lexus so there you go lol
Lol. Oh boy. Thanks JDM626.
Buy michelin and buy oil from Walmart .. just put tiresfirst time on my daughters rx350 the fac tires sucked .. I didn’t buy the plan or wheel protection guy got mad
Ok

The reason why its expensive because you wanna do all of your services at the dealer❌🧢

This video was made in good fun lol!
why is everybody disliking??
It’s a bad video.
Anyone know the song at 2:07 onward? It's beautiful!
The song is "Take You" by Vibe Tracks. I found the song in the TH-cam Audio library. The song near the end is "TFB9" by Vibe Tracks as well.
Dude, you are a godsend. Thank you!!! Really appreciate it =) Shazam literally had a different song everytime I tried it.
Thank you! I appreciate it. Finding the right music is probably the most difficult part of editing a video, but very fun.
Those services and the cost are a joke dude. They aren’t performing magic. Any mechanic can do what they’re doing for much less.
Yeah I know right. I buy parts from Rock Auto and do maintenance on my own.
Dream car
Definitely a cool car.
What year is yours
poison 123 2016
I would have done all those things my self and save 90%
this is exactly why people buy lexus
I do those things myself now.
How they balance the tire

Oh but they don’t rotate it in Lexus
@@compilation8800 They do. Just wanted to show you how it was done.
I only paid 50 for my 15000 miles
Nice.
If you hate it so much why did you buy it ?...
It has a unique look and a very smooth ride.
Then don't get it smh
In all honesty I don’t mind having to push a button.
Same here technology can be complicated at times jk.
My dream car!!! It just looks so sexy!
I don't see any reason to not like this car lexus are the best
The video was made in good fun. I agree, Lexus cars are awesome.
Go to Toyota they do same thing for half price.
I DIY most of the maintenance myself now. Definitely taking it to Toyota for other things like an alignment.
My 30k cost $502.
Hmmm
You think that's expensive try living in Australia.
FYI every damn thing is overpriced "downunder".
Do your own oil change save your money
Sure
Thank you for the dose of reality. Good stuff to k now.
You're welcome.
Quit the filler to make 10 mins. This is a 5 min video
Yeah
