I love my fully tuned R3, I’m sure this R7 would be an amazing bike as well, linear power, low end torque, 270 Crank sound, and a decent top speed of 140MPH. Seems like a perfect track/street bike, and is beginner friendly. I’ll buy one used for sure.
So hyped. I think I found my first bike. I'm 34 and have never ridden on the street, but I ride CR500s in the dunes and have much respect for the throttle. Wish me luck

@@180FiftyFive For sure. I was watching the video and this is not much faster than a fully modded CBR500R or Ninja 400. The difference seems to be a bit more top speed with the R7. For the money the CBR650R is the way to go. You still get more low end torque than a 600 cc supersport with more top end HP than the R7. A 2019+ CBR650R can make just over 100 RWHP with an exhaust, intake, and ECU flash. Seems to be the best of both worlds for basically the same money as the R7. Now if the R7 was 8K USD then things would be different.
Really excited for this bike, the combo of handling and aerodynamics, low weight, and torquey twin, reliability, dealer availability, parts availability(eventually), LOOKS and PRICE are just too much :) :) :) Nice video - love the sound of the exhaust and the area you're riding in.

I have not noticed any loss of power or torque, and the bike has not been overheating or acting strange so i think it would be fine to run it without a tune for a bit, but i would do it eventually anyways. Did you have to get it installed by the local yamaha dealership to avoid warranty issues, or you can install it by yourself without having to worry about that?
Complicated I think. Here in Germany you are legally only allowed to use exhaust systems cat and killer in which have an E-Number. Which all technically means you are putting on an exhaust system made and tested for the bike. But they do sound very restrictive thanks to the retarded euro norms. I don't see how this could effect your warranty in any way, because the pipes are tested. But you can pretty much put a Pvc-tube in the US and call it a day, so I'd say it could void your warranty. But just give your yamaha dealership a call
@kawiwinter bike warranties are different than cars for the most part! When I was buying my bike I asked what would void warranty. Basically the only way to void warranty, is if you modify the engine, and they figure out that it failed because of said mod.
@@TypicalMT But technically just getting a backyard welded exhaust on the bike will substantially change backpressure and mess up with the engines tune, causing problems. The exhaust variables is technically part of the motor
@@Daniel-dj7fh true, I forgot to add the example the dealership gave me.
