In *MY* opinion you have *THE* best vlogs out there. Seriously Cory, I enjoy every single one and I haven't missed any of the Alaska vlogs.

Corey, it's great that you're in a place where you're so happy. People I know who have moved to Alaska never come back, except my sister when she was stationed at Wainwright in Fairbanks. The Army MADE her come back, but she talked a lot about going back there when she got her nursing degree. Got married and had a baby, though; her husband couldn't stand the cold.

It's funny... I grew up in Moorpark CA and now live in NC. I love it here and hope you love Alaska and your new home. You both deserve nothing but happiness.
If you ever visit Washington, please let me know. I have been watching your videos for years and have always wanted to meet you. You were the main reason I made it through High School. Your confidence and lack of an embarrassing bone taught me to be myself and just make as many people as I can laugh or smile. That would be awesome if you could! Stay frosty and keep on living! :)
I know the kitties are more than fine, but I feel for their stress too. You are right, it makes a big difference that they have each other for company. I know you will be so happy to have a home, make some friends that can come check on them when you have to leave to visit the lower 48 again. Okay, and play video games, too. Did a core collection of books or comics come with you, too? Many books can be replaced, I know, but there are just some special ones that just just can not be replaced. I'm looking forward to seeing the special to celebrate the 100,000. Quack!
CREEPY! I just got shivers as we are in the middle of practically giving our things away for free just so we don't "have the burden" of loading it and unloading and everything else you just spoke of about attachments. O.M.G...and that was today!
I guess we should order our Blizzak now before we head your way. I'm scared we wont have them in time either. Man, this episode was just to close to home. It does feel good to let go of all that crap. I'm loving it! Just hate dealing with the craigslist people. They are just ruthless.

It's cool you're free from most household materialism for the time being, and you are enjoying it! It's a great lesson to realize all of this stuff doesn't matter, people and our happiness matter.
When I left Colorado I packed all my stuff in the back of my full-sized pickup. Just knowing that I have that freedom is awesome. I totally hear where you are coming from.

Detroit Metro has a tunnel that's really awesome with lights and stuff. It's very calming and pretty.

You know Cory your little speech about getting used to not having all of your stuff and the simple lifestyle thing reminds me of a fishing trip I took with my dad about 2 or 3 years ago. We were going on an island for a week and I said I wasn't going to bring my phone because I felt like that would distract me from the trip. Now naturally I thought I was going to go crazy but I was wrong. In fact I also learned that I can do just fine without internet and TV. I almost thought about staying there and basically becoming a hermit because it was so much simpler and peaceful. Anyways just wanted to share that. Love your vlogs dude.

I saw your post on FB about living without material items, I totally hear ya. I used to have everything! Then I ended up moving to a farm and living the simple life, I ended up either selling or giving away about 90% of everything I owned. Never felt better.

I'm binge watching all of your videos, and this is where I'm at so far. I obviously have quite a few to go still! I got super excited when I saw those lights at the airport- that's my city! It's a shame Chicago wasn't your final destination, but oh well! I'm really looking forward to your next adventure- moving to Oklahoma. Here's to many more amazing videos!
That's O'Hare! I went through that tunnel last October on my way to Toronto. It blew my mind!

I am moving to a very small town in Washington, called Leavenworth in a little over 10 days. it has maybe 2000 people in it….and I am coming from Southern California!!! but seeing you enjoy it and embrace the change, makes me think I can too! loving the vlogs too :-)

I totally recognized the hallway with the lights as being at O'Hare XD I love that hallway.
The beginning of your video was so timely! I'm in the process of trying to de-clutter my condo as I want to sell it and buy a new home with my boyfriend next year. It is quite freeing to not be weighed down with so much stuff. I'm trying to focus on just the necessary items. I can't imagine moving!
You have yet to see the tunnel at Detroit Int Airport! Instead of just small lights the entire walkway is surrounded by colourful psychedelic, and funky tydy colour lightings.
I recognized that part of O'Hare right away. Isn't it interesting? I think it's pretty cool that they decided to randomly put that in their airport.

By the way concerning internet Verizon just moved up here very recently and they are gonna be in competition with GCI and Alaska Communications so those 2 joined forces to make the Alaska Network. Which means there are bound to be some good bargain prices from Alaska Network and Verizon since they're are gonna be competing with each other pretty hard. So look out for that before you choose your choice of internet.

i thought it looked like chicago airport, wonderful memories of trying to sleep on those chairs while i waited 6 hours for my second flight.
I've taken some pictures from that plane windows before. I was flying from the UK to Italy and I got some awesome shots of the mountains that border Italy with my telephoto bridge camera :D
There comes a time when a person accumulates enough things, that you no longer own those things; those things own you.
I'm a firm believer in that philosophy. It really is nice not owning very much. Really freeing.
You should see all the stuff I have. I have a big house with a detached big two story garage full of tools, 15 tractors, 3 camper trailers and that's just a start.

New drinking game: a shot (beverage of choice) every time Cory says "like." Bonus: two shots when he substitutes "like" for a verb (i.e.., "said," "asked," etc.).
I grew up in a poor family, so whatever material gains I get, I cherish. I don't think I could up and sell all my stuff. Everything non-consumable I buy is like an extension of myself. It shows who I am.

Wow I have been watching you since I was 12 which was 2007, and you are still as entertaining now as you were back then, which is a very good thing. You were my very first person I subbed to when I got my channel in 2008, mainly I think I did that is because you reminded me of me so much, and you still do, (I really hope that didn't sound creepy) you are very entertaining.

I know how you feel about your "stuff," Cory. I have been unburdening myself from a lot of my stuff over the last few years. I realized that even with the stuff I keep because of sentimental feelings, I still have the memories...the "things" don't have the meaning that the memories do. I've been having yard sales all through the Fall/Winter season (since I'm in South Florida) to get rid of stuff, then donate lots to an animal aid thrift store locally.
Is that the neon tunnel at O'Hare? Dude, you should see the tunnel in Detroit, it is O'Hare evolved. Either that, or missing your connecting flight and spending the entire night in Detroit airport just makes things seem more significant. Thanks Delta;/
LOL at the end there was a Brazilian guy talking on the phone and he said he was going to kansas, bla, bla, bla... the funny part, he said good bye in portuguese at the exact same time you said good bye in the vlog haha!
