Oh, I love Kristen's sweet note on the mirror. That warms my heart, just like watching her play with Penny on the deck. I totally enjoyed watching you open your package and learning more about how you hold your camera. Those poles are just great. Look forward to all the hiking trips that you take and share with us while using them!
Cory, I've been watching your videos for several years now and I have never seen you happier. All the unfortunate-ness of the first half of 2014 has clearly led to bigger and better things for you and I always finish your vlogs with the biggest grin on my face. You might not make it back to Columbus anytime soon now that you're in the Great White North, but if so, Epic Man Hug will have to ensue!
I LOVE your cut screen's Cory. How you'll be talking about something and you patch in a view of whatever you were talking about without a break in the audio. :) Also, it's good to see how genuinely happy you seem to be. It's be a while since I've seen you smile so much. Alaska has done good things for you.
You'll see wild life if you hang dried corn cobs with the corn still on them from the trees. It's amazing how far the animals can smell stuff like that or dried crusted bread ends, and for the porch outside the kitchen get you some bird feeders, you'll be amazed at what sort of birds fly around and eat off the feeders. Either make you some little bird tree houses or go buy some, 3 or 4 and stick them on a pole and attach them to your fence in the corners as not to scare them away being so close to the kitchen window and I'm sure the kids will love to see them also. You might want to invest in a couple bales of hay or straw or alfalfa and stick them around your trees outside your picture window and have some binoculars ready because you'll see A LOT of wildlife!! I'm SOOooo glad you have your PO box now. I make all sorts of different items and one of the items I make I'm sure you'll be able to use at some point. =0 } Keep up the good work buddy.
You need Charles to come for a visit!! I remember back in the day when you two went looking for the snow!! A Cory and Charles reunion would be EPIC!! I know Cory knows what I am talking about... :)
Hey Cory! Just thought of letting you know that I am very happy for how your life has turned out. I've been watching and supporting your videos since around 2008 and saw all your ups and downs that felt like mine and it was heart-breaking to see such a gentle soul hurting. Kirsten looks to be an amazing person and a true match for you, you truly deserve that-a simple human happiness. Looking forward to more videos and sights of Alaska :)
You will probably eventually see some wildlife in your backyard, but if you had bought something further out of town the probability would have been much higher. Heck, you still have garbage service :) I have to make a garbage run to the dump tomorrow, no pick up for us. When we moved to Quesnel we had coyotes howling just in front of our house the first night, but then we moved to an area where all the properties were ten acres or larger. Here in Whitehorse we only have three acres, not near as much wildlife, too close to town.......
Nooooooo. now I have to count down the hours until another DudeLikeHella vlog is posted. Hey Cory, your awesome house warming gift is ready to be shipped out first thing tomorrow, errr, this morning. I hope you like it. It has a lot of cool native made and inspired artwork and décor in it. Hello Kristen, Sparta, Poki, and Penny! *Smiles and Waves* Have an awesome day at work, Kristen!
Corey, I think you're going to really need a 4-wheel drive truck with a snow shovel or a snowmobile in the very near future. As soon as I make the trip to move up there and have things settled on a house or something, one of those would be the first things I get. So I would get on that if I were you. :) By the way, those messages Kristen leaves on the mirrors is amazing. Thanks again for another great video! It's also great to hear about the job openings up there, that's insane and I hope those kinds of jobs are still open when I get there because I'll need it as right now I've got nothing, not even the resources to make the trip period and that sucks but make no mistake, I will live there someday.
Q: Why does Cory die at the end of his video's. A: Because he lives every day as if it's his last. Well, that's how I feel when I watch his videos. He's so full of life. Always enjoy watching his video's.
I just moved 2 gatlinburg tn area in the smokey mountains and I am just as excited 4 winter and exploring nature. Love watching u and kristen , y'all are adorable!
One thing you guys might want to look into getting is full-spectrum lights. They simulate sunlight much better than ordinary bulbs, and they're supposed to help keep your mood positive through the Winter when you might otherwise not get enough sunlight. I imagine they'd be even more valuable in Alaska.
Aww, jeepers, that Kristen is a big mush, writing mash notes on your mirror! That is nice. My wife has been drawing death's heads on my mirror for years now. She's not very good at it, so I take no notice. Those camera mounts are pretty cool-- I do like the Mini Stealth. Smart. I didn't see an assortment of snow shovels INSIDE the house... you do have to dig your way to the snow blower, y'know. Or car. Does anyone plow your road to your driveway? Make sure to lay in some survival rations and, oh yeah! Don't forget to have a heated battery tray installed in your car-- as well as the block heater. Don't think it's crazy... everyone there does it...
I found you on TH-cam in October 2015. I had just been to Alaska. It is a beautiful state! Your vlogs have made me thinking of joining the vlog community.
The reason we have fridges is because when it gets too cold if you leave stuff outside or even in the garage that's not heated it freezes. Though if it needs to be frozen that's not a problem lol. You will prob get moose in your yard when the snow comes, cause that's when they really start showing up cause they are looking for food.
As an Alaskan myself (I live in Kodiak), I can't stress enough how much you need a four wheel drive vehicle, and soon! You'll find out sooner than you think. BTW, welcome to Alaska!
Just an amazing Vlog Cory, every time you post a new vid each day, they just keep getting better and better thanks for all you do and it's good to see how happy you are and you and Kristen together are just the most wonderful couple keep up the fantastic work, your just incredible :)
Thanks for your insight on job potential in Alaska. My husband and I are seriously considering it. Just waiting to see what jobs might offer for both of us (and I am stuck here until the summer time). Watching these videos just makes me want to move now ;). Keep up the great work Cory.
Cory, you will probably want to take the fake turf off of your deck. It traps water on the decking and prevents you from sealing the deck every few years. Had major repairs after I removed it off of my deck. Don't know what inspires people to put it on there. Also have someone show you what Devil's Club is and avoid it. Tons of it in your area. Leaves burns and patches on your skin sensitive to light. Think I saw some in your yard on a previous video. Lastly, although you got your great new tires, make sure you invest in some nice studded snow tires. Lots of hills and crowned streets in Eagle River. Been in the ditch a time or two out there.
I LOOOVE your vlog's!!!! they have in my opinion gotten waaaay better since you moved to Alaska!!! Me and my woman have had thoughts about moving there, i lived in Fairbanks a long time ago and i miss Alaska soooooo much!!! you never get sick there because the air is so clean!!! So you can look forward to much less sickness!! thanks for your Vlogs everyday and please don't ever stop!! Also if there is anyway us fan's can help with the whole chuck e cheese thing please let me know!! ill do what i can (however small that may be)
I've always wanted to move north of here (Georgia). I was thinking of North Carolina because of the mountains and how pretty it is when I go there (all though I've never been in the summer). But now I'm thinking, Alaska sounds like a dream, no cockroaches, no more hot wet summers, snow, and now jobs! It is to bad I'm 14, hopefully all the jobs wont be taken in four years. If it's still like how it is now I'm almost positive I want to move there.
It's so good to see you so happy Cory. Kristen seems lovely too. I think you two might need to get a snow plough fitted to the front of your car or maybe Kristen you could ski to work?! My cousin's husband did that once when it snowed a lot here in the UK. (He's Danish) :)
Cory...I miss your surprise endings!! I was sat on the edge of my seat waiting for you to be crashed by a meteor or something, you were totally building it up, but nothing...zero....zip...zilch...nada! :)
@1:36. yep that's exactly what they are doing. either practicing/training for an inflight refuel or actually doing one. from the looks it's probably training. If you don't already have one you're going to need a snow blower Cory. and a snow shovel too come to think of it..
Man, say whatever words you want. It's your life and to you, as well as those around you in your personal life, it's not harmful. It's a term. Just like people are asking you to respect what they get offended by, you have the right to ask that they don't get bothered by words you use with no ill intent. Also, the move has been super refreshing on watching your videos (old fan from the set up a tent in your apartment videos :P).
Hey Cory, I love your personality, you're so cheerful face that immediately give me your joy :) Some people say that Americans are infantile, and I don't agree with them, I think Americans are just very optimistic, I love these people! inspire me!
Omg I just have to send a letter to you guys. I got to take some pictures of the nature here in Finland during the weekend and send them to you next week because the fall is strong here too right now and I'm sure you will love what you see :) (Depends on if I get some good pictures though.. the weather doesn't go hand-in-hand with the beauty of the nature..) Hopefully I'll get some confirmation that you've seen it when I get to send it! That would make me soooo happy C:
I did comment on Chuckie Cheese's Facebook Page about your video. Getting new stuff is exciting. Having no sense of smell I would have to be told I have animal piss in my house. But then. If I do inherit my moms house, I would get rid of all the carpet and put in wood or tile flooring. I don't really like carpet that much. My steam cleaner for the floors is so much easier to use and to clean with. On another video from England They saw a fox in a parking lot very early in the morning. Hope something comes by soon. When winter comes is when animals come to human parts to search for food. Can't wait to see you in your first snow storm.
I live in Washington and love it here, but Alaska is just so beautiful. I hope someday my hubby, daughter and i can take a trip there. So happy you have a P.O. Box. I need to buy some envelopes and stamps so i can write you guys. :) oh and Kristen is such a sweetie with those notes on the mirror. I may steal that idea.
Cory love the vlog stick! Got my husband one at the last VidCon and we taped We the Kings!!!! So love your vlogs!!! Penny looks really happy too!!!! ;)
Job sounds so good. I will move Cory - but plane tickets for me and my cats will take everything from me when I come all the way from Finland. Can I make a nest in to your back garden little forest place..? We can deal with the cold.. And I promise to be quiet. xD I almost can bet that I even can fix the Sauna for you! o/
I noted that you used the FastCap product several videos back through a quick comment you made. Found their website via it. Was blown away though.. they are in Bellingham WA (ok, Ferndale, which is next door). It is where I'm moving my Non-Profit (and me of course). Thanks for all the great videos.. love seeing the two of you together exploring and enjoying.
You know what is ironic and I JUST realized this. I've been binge watching to catch up, because I've always watched your videos now and again but I haven't been a regular watcher in years so I'm trying to catch up on all the stuff I missed. ANYWAY, so just about every third video I watch there is an ad that plays before the video. And guess who the ad is for... That's right Chuck E Cheese's. YUUUUUUUUPPPP.
Hey Cory is there any way you can do a good close up of the chandelier in your up stairs living room I weave metal as a hobby and it looks like a pattern that I use quite often anyway thank you and may your time in Alaska be blessed.
You say it's cold, but you're just wearing a hoodie. Can't wait to see you bundled up like Nanook of the North. *LOL* You'll know all about the cold by then. Did you get the Ugg boots yet? And at least 30 pairs of wool socks? You think I'm kidding, right? I moved to Colorado at 9000ft elevation from California. I thought I knew what cold was...what did I know? I *have* those 30 pairs of wool socks now...and it gets much colder there than it gets here. Had a friend that used to live in Anchorage. He said that he could slosh a cup of hot coffee into the air in winter and by the time it hit the ground it had already turned to ice crystals. I hope when it gets 80 below you show us this in your vlog....
i have two of those original selfie sticks AND if i put one of them on my Targus mono pod i can get about 12 feet out of them together. i like the walking stick not sure how i'd feel about that mount being in the middle of the top like that , thinking it would be cooler if it twisted, screwed or flipped out of the top rather than just always be sticking up there. I'm interested to see how "lighter" poles stand up to the Cory Williams normal use test :o)
DudeLikeHELLA lol I love ur vids and I dream to live in Alaska :D It's funny how I came across this channel! So about 4 years ago I saw the Mean Kitty Song, then I just searched "Alaska" on youtube and TheMeanKitty channel showed up so then I clicked on the cats exploring the new house vid and then it suggested some of these! It's funny cause I was like... hmm he looks a lot like the person from mean kitty song, "checks song" IT IS HIM OMG LOL. Anyways have fun in Alaska! Can't wait till winter!!!!
I want to go out there, but I hate winter. -40 and 8ft of snow in out that way, anything below zero out here is rare, and mostly at night. Never seen it during the day.
Totally wish I had the guts to move to Alaska. I am out of work and I would have no problem learning how to install carpeting even though I'm a girl. I'm VERY close to my family and have massive anxiety issues so moving 4000+ miles away right now is not an option. A new start would be great though.
Those poles for the camera are really cool. I was wondering what you used!! If you want to get even stranger reactions from people, try coming up to Fairbanks and filming! lol
I'm hooked on DudeLikeHella! Find you to be very honest and entertaining!! I do have a question. After videoing how long does it take you to edit it and ready to upload? Thanks again for sharing your world with us.
Put your game camera out! Is Kristen in the Air Force at Elmendorf or the Army at Richardson? IN an earlier video you said something about her next station, and your location to the NE of the base leads me to that conjecture. If she is in the armed forces, good for her, and thanks for the service.
Ok Cory, just found your channel and watched this video. I live in Tennessee, have been preparing to find work in Alaska and about fell out of my chair when you said the owner of the carpet store is hiring at around $20hr. I'm calling him tomorrow, and if he hires me and I move there, you have to put me in one of your videos!
I totally would move to Alaska! I've been there before for two weeks and I will never EVER forget that experience! The thing is, I've only been a young adult for a little while and too inexperienced to live on my own, especially so far away from my family in Arizona :/ anyone feel the same?
Cool walking stick iPole thing. I might possibly consider making videos if they made those kinds of things that can attach a phone to wheelchairs. As it stands currently, I think holding my phone in my hand while pushing myself might make for a dizzying video.
1:52 Oh my god, maybe that's the other Squatit. There is a hill here in Elko County, Nevada that looks very similar to that called Squatit, I guess people say it's like the earth's (or God's) nipple. And I always wondered "Well where's the other one?", and now you might have found it.
Cory always makes me so happy! Srsly he is always so positive that the positivity goes thru his camera thru my lptop on me ^_^ hahah i loovvee watching him!! Cory thank you for always making me smile :)
For some reason, these Alaska vlogs put me in such a good mood! Thanks Cory!
It is supposed to snow in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan this weekend! If it does, I might have to drive 150 miles north. .
Also, it's good to see how genuinely happy you seem to be. It's be a while since I've seen you smile so much. Alaska has done good things for you.
You'll see wild life if you hang dried corn cobs with the corn still on them from the trees.

make I'm sure you'll be able to use at some point. =0 } Keep up the good work
buddy.
You need Charles to come for a visit!! I remember back in the day when you two went looking for the snow!! A Cory and Charles reunion would be EPIC!! I know Cory knows what I am talking about... :)
I'd LOVE to see Charles again! He's just too busy lately.
I really want to move to Alaska because of you thank you for showing me the beauty of Alaska
It's great to see you so happy Cory, every time the camera is on, you've got a huge grin on your face! :D It's just great to watch!
Nooooooo. now I have to count down the hours until another DudeLikeHella vlog is posted.

Q: Why does Cory die at the end of his video's.
A: Because he lives every day as if it's his last.
Well, that's how I feel when I watch his videos. He's so full of life. Always enjoy watching his video's.
I LOVE THAT!
DudeLikeHELLA i love you
Cory should make that into a sign and hang it on the wall :)
I just moved 2 gatlinburg tn area in the smokey mountains and I am just as excited 4 winter and exploring nature. Love watching u and kristen , y'all are adorable!

Nice to see you in your element! All the best.
That tracking Pole is actually really cool. Thanks for sharing :D
~Sara
Those mountains are awesome. But the volcanoes are even more awesome. When you get the chance Cory you should go check them out. You will love them.
i really like the view from the new ipole, it really opens up the frame and it looks fantastic!
Its done, I'm moving to alaska. Yep, it's certain now. I love the vlogs and I love the outdoors.
Aww, jeepers, that Kristen is a big mush, writing mash notes on your mirror! That is nice. My wife has been drawing death's heads on my mirror for years now. She's not very good at it, so I take no notice.

A happy Cory is the best medicine against depression ^^
Hey Cory, Get a salt lick to draw the deer to the back of your property. Put it at the back edge and watch them start to flock.
As an Alaskan myself (I live in Kodiak), I can't stress enough how much you need a four wheel drive vehicle, and soon! You'll find out sooner than you think. BTW, welcome to Alaska!
i'm just watching all the Alaska vlogs from no.1! whoop whoop just had to say this is my favourite by far! such a good mood now keep it up! :)
Just an amazing Vlog Cory, every time you post a new vid each day, they just keep getting better and better
thanks for all you do and it's good to see how happy you are and you and Kristen together are just the most wonderful couple

Ooooh, it looks like you have a long driveway. You will need a big snow blower or a Cub Cadet to plow it!❄️⛄️❄️⛄️
Whoa my good friend lives in Eagle River!! That is cool.
I'm interested in seeing how you deal with the first winter. Please be careful, that kind of cold can be deadly.
I would love to move out there but my family is all in the SF bay area. I couldn't leave them. I'm so glad to see Alaska from your point of view!
the bus hit was awesome! ..but then i love just about anything you do lol
It's great to see how someone else thinks of Anchorage.
Happy Days opening Box every day guys, take a bag it will be spilling out hugely.
You're so far North, I'm surprised your PO box wasn't H-O-H O-H-O.
Lol, close though!
Haha that should be one of his christmas cards.
@1:36. yep that's exactly what they are doing. either practicing/training for an inflight refuel or actually doing one. from the looks it's probably training.
If you don't already have one you're going to need a snow blower Cory. and a snow shovel too come to think of it..

he is not like all of them lol
Jobs you say? Interesting! I might have to move there! But I'm worried it might be just a bit too cold for me.
I don't think I could handle the cold up there.Last winter in Michigan was bad enough.
That ipole is pretty neat.
Can't wait to see you use the iPole stuff more :D
Mr. Ford sent me and I will play your videos on a loop in the background whenever my PC is on. Congrats on the daughter man.
keep up the awesome Work Cory!!!!! I am going to sooo try to move there now !! Thanks Cory !

Your awesome Cory :) I hope you and your lady have a wonderful life together :)
You should look back at this vid every time you want to drink an Energy DRINK! I AM ADDICTED to coffee water. It is hard cutting back!!!
Cory love the vlog stick! Got my husband one at the last VidCon and we taped We the Kings!!!! So love your vlogs!!! Penny looks really happy too!!!! ;)
Actually, my husband & I ARE going to look into Alaska as a new place to live!
Ooh I've been wanting to get a walking stick monopod for my camera, I'll have to look into getting one of those.
Job sounds so good. I will move Cory - but plane tickets for me and my cats will take everything from me when I come all the way from Finland.
3:00 Oh yeah you turn that bear ON Cory!
Hahahahaha.
I can't wait for the snow too only downside to snow in my opinion is having to shovel it.
It will be nice to compare snow depth and temp with you from here in western Massachusetts some times we are colder than AK
So cool to see you here man! Such a small world.
If you want to get even stranger reactions from people, try coming up to Fairbanks and filming! lol
Snow gets old fast Cory.
Alaska kinda reminds me of Sweden (Scandinavia in general pretty much), but Alaska just has.. MORE!
Maan, I reeaallyy gotta go there someday!
You need to get a warm winter coat, stocking hat, mittens, and Sorrel boots!
omg the last few seconds were so tense!
I'm hooked on DudeLikeHella! Find you to be very honest and entertaining!! I do have a question. After videoing how long does it take you to edit it and ready to upload? Thanks again for sharing your world with us.
Gonna have to send you a letter one of these days. :)
And you totally need a grill for that giant deck.
Talk about being spontaneous !
I totally would move to Alaska! I've been there before for two weeks and I will never EVER forget that experience! The thing is, I've only been a young adult for a little while and too inexperienced to live on my own, especially so far away from my family in Arizona :/ anyone feel the same?
winter is comming
Damn, Alaska looks just like Norway!
Cool walking stick iPole thing. I might possibly consider making videos if they made those kinds of things that can attach a phone to wheelchairs. As it stands currently, I think holding my phone in my hand while pushing myself might make for a dizzying video.
They do have clip on poles if I recall.
1:52 Oh my god, maybe that's the other Squatit. There is a hill here in Elko County, Nevada that looks very similar to that called Squatit, I guess people say it's like the earth's (or God's) nipple. And I always wondered "Well where's the other one?", and now you might have found it.
you're livin the dream cory :) I wana live in alaska when I get out of college. Hopefully working as a game warden.
LOL I was thinking about how you're doing these videos - now I know xD
Thanx to your package!!! LOL
Question for you Cory; do you know if they use studded tires or chains or both up there to get around in the snow?
You totally need to set up your trail cam somewhere to get some wild life on video!!
Cory always makes me so happy! Srsly he is always so positive that the positivity goes thru his camera thru my lptop on me ^_^ hahah i loovvee watching him!! Cory thank you for always making me smile :)
Hey Cory do you still have your trail cam? you should get it set up in your garden to try and find a yeti or a moose lol
Good morning
idk if its weird or whatever but i really really love his voice . idk
Corey, when you "die" I always jump because it just scares me, hahaha!
Cory, have you gone back to CEC's to see if they took down your video?
Hope all the trolls didn't scare you guys away. I love your videos. :)
