Lovely to see labourers in hi-viz jackets. Yes, hi-viz jackets. Brand new hi-viz jackets, never-before-worn hi-viz jackets straight out of the packet with the fold lines still very visible. Must make a good impression, folks!

With time safety norms are somewhat getting enforced.
Indian Railways is unionised so you can't fire employees otherwise there would be strike.
You have to prove that employee is in Absolute without doubt in violation before ANY PENALTY.
But as I said things are getting better.

Beautifully performed. I wonder how did they plan to prevent the loco to bend under its own weight.

They put both iron steel and wooden blocks as safety measure.

Indian Railways must have huge salary budget just by looking at so many workers at one incident z

Indian Railways is the world's largest employer, I seem to recall.

@@nicolek4076 Not the largest, but one of the top 10 largest. Others include the Indian, Chinese and American militaries, the Chinese Power Grid corp, etc.

How did the loco get there with no tracks visible

If you look right at the start of the video on pause you can see a track plan. The train was in loop line 2. At the end of the loop there are points to take trains back out on the main line. If a train in the loop were to run away or pass the signal at danger it could collide with a train on the main, so they put in trap points to prevent that happening. Trap points have no track after them so a runaway train just goes off the end of the track into the dirt which is better than colliding with another train on the main.

This is a documentary. No need to have a background music. That music has spoiled the entire video. Add original sound and upload this video again.

    Why boggie is not falling?
    How you have connected it.
As it is usually on pivot pin which will come out once you lift wagon

Too many staffs and onlookers. Even staff become onlookers. This is a common problem in India.

On lookers are a “problem” ? Some people need to realize they are doing the same thing through an electronic medium.
And their comments are nothing more than gossip here. We humans are curious like a lot of being that are alive ?
Does the commenter have a problem with humans doing human things.

Merely putting a video doesn’t serve any purpose unless derailment on dead end or any other incident that happened at that station is first explained. Good to see SrDME / GNT leading the ops, but why this ops ??

WTFQ is going on. At one point there are 3 forgiving banksman hand signs and doing them badly. Should be 1 person in charge ie the coss. 1 handyman who can be in contact/seen by the 2 crane operators. And all the workers making a dangerous working environment even more dangerous. At most 10/12 people would have been sufficient.

No problem at all. It is India. So if anything goes wrong, there is always a new team ready to take over where the other one died.
