Hello from the future (May 2024). I got my Bambu A1 less than a week ago and have been having a great time with it, just relying on the defaults. I'm super happy to have found your videos this weekend. You explain things so well and I have been making notes on how to already improve my prints (although to be honest, I have friends who have had fdm printers for longer who are amazed at how good things have been for me so far!). Definitely will be heading over to join your Patreon before I resume this playlist binge :) Thank you again for your videos. You are a terrific teacher and maker!!
Thanks so much I’m glad I’m able to help you out. There is so much to know when it comes to printing and I’m glad I can break it down and help you get beautiful prints!
Thank you for this. I'm fairly new to printing, and just recently moved to Bambu Studio for my new P1S. I had no idea what most of those did beyond what the names implied, and didn't know the nuances and applications for most of them.
This series has been fantastic - it's basically a full course of study in Studio. I've just been opening up files, testing each thing as you explain it, and then making notes in OneNote for future reference.
As a novice, what I'd love to see covered in the future:
~Infill - what's the difference, and when would I pick one over the other? How to determine the proper amount of infill (in my early prints, I was frequently printing at 70%+, thinking it would be too brittle if I didn't - lesson learned.)
~Balancing strength, detail, and speed (this seems to be the 'expert' stage right here!)
~The advanced settings in the left menu
~Not just how to properly calibrate and tune, but when it's necessary
You are the man, man! I love your videos. Very well explained.
Also, I appreciate your format. Going over everything one piece at a time is one things, but showing examples of each along with the options, and discussing implementation, is what makes the difference between actually teaching and simply reading a manual into a camera.
New to Bambu Lab! This video was great! Thanks!
I recently went from the Ender 3 V2 and using Cura to getting a Bambu Lab P1S and learning Bambu Studio, and HOLY CRAP this slicer is super robust! I'm used to needing to use Blender to cut models or use boolean operations, and it doesn't always turn out pretty to be honest... but having these in-house with the slicer is going to be SO helpful!! Thank you for making these videos!
I too just went from the Ender 3 v2 to a Bambu and I'm just floored by the whole ecosystem
Love your videos! Cover so much, and so quick & precise! Thanks🎉
Thanks there were a lot that i didn't know. Now its time to explore.
DENNIS! been thinking about you haven’t heard from you in a while. Hope all is well. And yes this program has a ton in it.
@@ItsMeaDMaDe I've been in the discord. I'm DennySavard there
excellent job! thank you, now the left side ;)
Ha ha. Yeah we will keep diving deeper.
Your videos are really good, very informative. Thanks.
Thanks glad you enjoy them.
Well thank you I just learned a lot I didn’t even know about
Your welcome. Glad I could show you some new tools.
Thanks for sharing, just bought a x1 and can't wait to try some of the settings you show.
and with support painting, if you right click draw, you will actually be saying "no support here", so you can remove their generated supports where you'd like to. ;)
Yeah I forgot to mention that. I’ll probably be doing a support video where I go over it in more detail. Thanks for the comment.
@ItsMeaDMaDe you covered so much, so well... I was kinda looking for something you missed as a personal challenge lol. Great video, as usual, thanks man!
Waiting upon the arrival of my Bambu and I'm really enjoying your videos. You have an excellent teaching style.
Thanks for the take. My p1s is in the mail and I don't feels as bad about cheating out now.
Nice series, been very useful. Would definitely like to see more on Cuts, tried to do the connectors and nothing seemed to happen. Don't know what I did wrong.
Wow this helps a lot thanks!
Your welcome glad it helped.
Wow, what a great video! Thanks!
You certainly did bring out many things I didn't know. You are making it easy to understand and to follow along with.
That’s always my goal to make everyone understand the settings and try not to confuse people. Because it’s easy to get overwhelmed and confused on some of this stuff.
I learned so much! Thank you for making it all easy to understand. I'm excited to see the video on "cut"😊
Thanks man! The cut video will be after the speed video where I also talk about all these turtles I’ve printed. 😅
Such great tutorials. Looking forward to more advanced ones with nylon, tpu, quality, etc.. Even QOL ones, sending prints, monitoring, notification, etc.. Using 3rd party filaments...
the rotate tool snaps to the outer graduated ring as well ;) Another great video, thanks!
Thank you!!!! Deff need that cut video
A good simple example for intersection would be to get a rectangle and put two spheres either side and you will be left with a different shape.
For example if you want to leave clearance for a gear or a wheel.
I've only been using 2-3 options on the toolbar now you make me want to experiment! Great video once again!
Your not alone. I did this cause I know people focus on the left menu when the top has just as many features.
These videos are very helpful!
Glad you like them! Thanks for the comment.
That slicer is awesome
Very thankful that you started this series. I started with Cura and still have machines that I use it on, but have been very busy with my Bambu's lately. Defiantly a lot to learn here! Wondering if you might include, at some point, using Bambu Studio with other printers (i.e. Ender 3 Pro/Max)?
Thanks for the comment. Yeah I’ve been doing some research on how to use it with other printers still trying to figure it out. Once I do I’ll definitely make a video on it.
love your videos. i would love to see that Cut video.
Very informative video, thank you. I downloaded BamBoo Studio after watching your last video and this video seems to show BamBoo Studio has more abilities then Cura. I'm NO expert at any of this (over 70 amature). I only use Cure but since BamBoo Studio recognizes my Ender3 v2 printers I'll give it a try. The BamBoo 3D printers look more advanced so I might have to buy one, after I give my Ender 3 V2's to the relatives! I do enjoy all your work on 3D printing and painting of what is made. Thank you and keep up the great informative videos.
Thanks. I haven’t connected my ender 3 printers yet. Hoping to try soon and see how it works.
Can you teach us about Bambu Studio supports please!!! :)
I will touch on that in a video for sure
WoW. I just bought a Bambu Combo and your videos are a must watch. Thanks for sharing such great content ! Wish you success and the best !
Just got my first printer the Neptune 4 pro. Do you still use the 32 Blades Steel Feeler Gauge Dual Marked Metric and Imperial Measuring Tool you got in some of your descriptions for the best bed lever? I just purchased the new E- leveler 2 from filament Friday. Wondering if you still recommend the steel feelers
Another great tutorial Chris!!! Great job with these slicer videos.
Hey quick newbie question, why does the seam have to be on the outer layer and why can’t it be on the infill??
Good question. The best way to think about it each outer wall is like drawing a circle you have to start and stop to complete the a circle it’s the same way with filament it has to start somewhere to apply the outer wall and then it has to stop in the same place.
Hope that helps thanks for the comment.
There are also seams on the inside. You just can't see them.
I see a set of stacked rectangles aside from the main object. Anyway to get rid of it?
Ok quick question if I have multiple beds and bed for is selected, if I move red on bed one while it's not selected will it be registered to bed one or would it be registered to bed 4 but be off the bed so won't print?
So many questions were for a newbie
Just got the Bambu lab P1P
And wondering if there is a way to turn off the purge when you change filaments because nothing I’m printing at the moment makes a big difference that it has a little bit of a different color
I don't have my P1P yet and didn't even order an AMS but in other videos I've seen that you can change the amount of purging done depending on the colors being switched. For instance you might purge more before starting white because any left over color will easily show. I don't know if you can turn it off completely.
Check out the Teaching Tech video on reducing waste with AMS.
what is the block of colors added to the plate when we have different color?
How do you add fuzzy to the top & bottom only on a flat object? I tried a modifier but I must be doing it wrong because it doesn’t work.
So i have a dumb question, is there a reason to run a cool plate vs a hot one? Ive only ever run 60-65c on my smooth peo and textured pei plates and i only run pla at the moment. But i notice a lot of people run their plates "cool" in the 35c area. Thanks in advance.
Hi Chris, I've been trying to print out the cool Bambu accessory case that's on Printables. I've been trying to use ironing on all top surfaces for the internal pieces. However after printing it about 6 different times and it coming out looking really bad I've given up. Have you tried anything like this yet ? It's a print that takes up the whole build plate. I dont like giving up on something but this was just not happening. Do you have any tips or guides for ironing with the X1C?
Well first I’m sorry your having issues. I honestly have only begun experimenting with ironing features in Bambu studio. I’m hoping to have something in a few weeks depending on how my tests work to help with this topic. Your not the only one that has come to me with this issue so I’ll definitely be trying to figure it out.
@@ItsMeaDMaDe ah thank god dude glad I'm not going nuts 🤣. The bambu accessory case I'm on about is the one that was free then the guy started charging for it and people lost their minds and got mad but us now free again. Try one of the internals on that if you fancy it. I do have one other question, I'm using petg for my pla support interface which works great. Except part way up my support I get a few lines of petg randomly printed even though there is no interface in these areas. It's so weird. Any ideas what I'm missing?🤔
Why do you want/need/use multiple buildplates?
can you erase supports?trees? other then ones you paint on?
Yes you can. You can paint areas when your painting supports just left click and drag and that will not allow supports
Have you posted the video about cut yet
When doing "boolean union" do you need to hold shift or ctrl when clicking the second piece of the union?
Hey! Sorry I missed this. You shouldn’t have to hold anything just go into the settings and click the first part then click the second part after that just click the modifier button like union or difference
@@ItsMeaDMaDe 😊 Thanks. Maybe I'm being too impatient while it "thinks" 😅
How can you imprint a logo on prints
Also how do you get the logo into bambu studio ??
Can you download bamboo studio without having a bamboo Printer
Yes
PLEASE use a white screen so we can see details. Black or Grey on black is very difficult
Which 3d printer do I need? want to make my own iron man suit. I have checked your TH-cam channel. I like that you help people. I am a new beginner. Want to buy my first 3D printer. my buget is 10k. Help Mr itsmeaDMaDe!
Take a drink every time you hear actual or actually. How about a video about things that don't actually happen?
lucky you don't show your mustache during entire video.
