This video sth-cam.com/video/x34-a2ilOvQ/w-d-xo.html should also make black people feel even prouder. Caucasians like myself get the stereotype that Africans aren't smart but finding out that the opposite is true in reality. We have been lied to far too long about Africans for probably some sinister reason. Finding out that all Caucasians and East Asians and everyone else have dark skin ancestors originally and that these ancestors that migrated in Europe and Asia at one time came from Africa. Plus Africans seem to be more spiritual then all people as well. With black people being the original version of humans, and the most intelligent of humans and the most spiritual of humans, they should be the ones teaching Caucasians and East Asians on how to balance education and spirituality. But things got flipped upside down and probably for a sinister reason by the most powerful and elites of the world and we can't rule out the possibility of these very few powerful elites of the world are under the control of another entity like we hear and read in many religious text. This Lucifer, Satan, Enki or whatever it is called has a hatred for humankind so maybe this is all happening because of its influence on humankind. Just taking a guess because there are many theories about this stuff.
As a black girl, Heejae's anger is how a lot of us feel from the constant criticisms of our darker complexion! The fact that even she got made fun of for having darker skin is so annoying to me. I never will understand why people get so offended over somebody's skin colour!?
Same, Kamaria xo. I don't get how the color of our skin can make us someone to hate, or make fun of, or fear. It doesn't make us less than anyone. I love how they still commented how beautiful these women were, but beauty isn't only personified by the outer layer, I think what's inside matters more. The problem is that a lot of times due to my skin color, some people won't even take the time to get to know the person I am without all of the misconceptions. Colorism is real in a lot of cultures. The paler, the better. It's just funny how some don't think it is just as wrong as racism.
@@ginatowner0t7 Asian colorism is just very well understood, this is a classic division into aristocracy and peasants. 7:48 It's so important that Heejae speaks up about this! Since I got into kdramas and into South korea's culture I've heard so many times koreans "complimenting" each other saying things like "wow you're so pretty because you have such fair and white skin" and even people comparing their skintones to stablish who had the lightest and the darkest tone within friendgroups and the darker ones were usually teased because of that? Like what the heck? I never understood it but, yeah, now that I'm older, those stupid comments are just racist and I hope someday South korea and all the countries in the whole world truly erradicate this kind of disgusting behaviours
It's not racist. It's colorism. Two different things. In Asia, the nobles stayed in while the peasants had to stay out and work in the fields, tanning their skin in the hot sun.
@@queenleslie5917 no, it's different, the reason why Korean people dislike darker skin among other Koreans is because of the reasons you said about classes so it's colourism. And yeah, colourism does come from internalised racism because for black people, it's not about class, it's about believing that white is beautiful and black is not because of racism. But their racism toward black people goes further than just skin, they have stereotypes about black people and are scared of and discriminate against black people. It's very similar to the way it happens in other places in the world but with more ignorance. It's not just colourism.
@@queenleslie5917 it is colorism but sometimes leads to racism because what stems from colorism is also how you’re treated as well… racism is known to be defined as unjust treatment based on the color of your skin …..
This video is awesome. I'm biracial and I know how popular lighter skinned models are in our society so I am glad that darker skin tones are getting the recognization they deserve! I modeled for a couple of years for a small agencies but I gave up because I'm on the shorter side and models are ideal when they are tall.
byungeun and heejae bickering over space and him telling her she's taking the most space when byungeun is literally taking up half the couch 😭😂 i can't with them
Heejae's reaction about discriminating because of skin color really got to me. I'm Hispanic and between my older and younger sisters, I was the darkest. People would comment on that and some asked if I had a different mom or dad. It got to me so much that o started feeling very insecure and depressed. Through the years as some made the same, or worse comments I started thinking that since i couldn't change my skin color maybe I could change other things about me to move the attention to something other than the color of my skin. I started dieting, which turned into an eating disorder. I kept changing my hair color, and that plus the lack of nourishment made my hair thin, and brittle. It got bad for a while, but little by little as I grew up, as I surrounded myself with real friends, and as I realized that there was nothing bad with my skin color, I began to get better. Now as a 38 year old I am happy with how I look and if someone tries to say something bad about the color of my skin i immediately shut them up. I had a coworker tell me recently that people use to make fun of her as well. I told her that next time someone says something just shut them up immediately. I said, "Tell them there is nothing wrong with your skintone. No matter the color, we all breath, we all eat, we all feel, we all bleed, we all live, and we all die. If they keep talking say to them, I'm dark skin and I'm proud and I have a nice tan year round.
I'm sorry you went through this racism, I have always had this admiration of Hispanic skin color and their culture too.. I'm happy for you that you now think you are beautiful and I'm sure you are ❤️❤️❤️ sending love to you from Somali sister ❤️🇸🇴

i am a black woman and I love Korean people so much, what makes me sad is the amount of racism against black people I hear that exist in south Korea because I would like to visit once or even live in Korea for a while, but hearing them compliment black women like that makes me so happy, it's bringing awareness that we are all people and we are all different, the amount of melanin in your skin doesn't have anything to do with the type of person you are, and you can be beautiful no matter what skin tone you have. what also makes me sad is how us black women are perceived ugly around the world bcz of our skin tones, our darkness, our round shapes, and for our kinky hair, we are the least desired group of women just because of features that we are born with and have nothing we can do about it, I really hope that the message spreads around the world and hate towards people bcz of their different features stops, and every one start to see beauty in different forms.
Racism is everywhere chile. Just look at some of the Black people in America assaulting Asians for whatever reasons. Racism is everywhere and there are kind people everywhere. It's time to use some critical thinking and understand that there are good and bad in every group. Let's not generalize a country or one group.
Racism against black people is everywhere seriously even colorism affects us so it’s so difficult for darker skinned black women everywhere. It’s just sucks nowhere is a safe place
@@nonchalantsavagery The worst part for me is the fact that our men are often the worst perpetuators. They always try to make us feel ugly for having dark skin and try to avoid dating us. It's ridiculous.
As a white woman, I can’t imagine what it’s like, I’ve never not liked a race so I can’t tell what’s going through those peoples cruel heads, but I think that you should go out to Korea, just like I want to go to Japan, and as a girl with more weight then what people want in Japan, and different complexions I still want to go and model there because I believe if you don’t fit into or want to mold into societies beauty standard, then we should create our own and flaunt the assets we were given, because we’re all perfect in our own skin! I wish you well in Korea!
As a young black woman myself, heejae’s anger is the embodiment of how us black women feel everytime we and other black people get discriminated against, hated, hurt, harassed, etc…i love my skin. One story from when i was kid (about 7yo), i had this little white boy come up to me, just grab my arm and start caressing the top of my arm while staring at it in curiosity. I yanked my arm from him in irritation and confusion, then looked at him like, “🤨”. And he asked me, “do you taste like chocolate?” And i asked him back, “do you taste like vanilla?!” And he said, “no 🤨”. And then i said, “well i guess i don’t taste like chocolate! 😠” and then walked away. I think back on that and wonder if that was a backhanded compliment or not.
It's just childish curiosity. You don't have to be so mean. Similarly, black children in Africa show curiosity when they first see a person with a different skin color.
I think many kids that dont have that good parents are uneducated and can come across rude when they are curious. Some cases are just plain rude but some make me think their parents didnt educate them enough to have a decent mannerism towards others... In this world in 2022.. whats wrong with ppls parenting and thinking-

But this is really fascinating these women are extraordinary im black and just cant stop being wowed by their tone poise spot on bodies and charisma. Obsession thats positive is pretty cool👌🏽
I’m a lighter skinned black woman, and I’ve actively noticed the difference in treatment between myself and my darker skinned sister. It so wild how people care so much about something so insignificant to out ability to be a good person.
As a dark skin woman I hate the discrimination that dark skin women show towards lighter skin women. It’s a sad cycle. I’m glad that we starting to embrace our beautiful shades of black though and embrace each other more.
@@mindrecharged7658 Both. I’m from the United States. Lighter skinned black women are seen as “racially ambiguous” and “exotic” and we get fetishized so we get treated with less blatant racism than darker skinned black women.
As a black girl, this made me happy. I've always wanted to go to South 🇰🇷 and it's one of the places I wanted to go to, but I feel nervous about what Koreans think me as an African-American and having a dark skin tone as the Korean beauty standard is usually fair skin. Hats off to Awesome world to create awareness that black people are also good looking and attractive I couldn't help but notice how cute Heejae and Byeungeun were fighting They looked like cute couples 😂
This video makes me really happy because I've witnessed people being made fun of because of how dark their skin is, people being pressured into using harmful products to lighten their skin tones and all sorts of nonsense. And to think that I'm living in an African country! I can't even imagine what people outside are going through. Thank you for this and I hope acceptance for things we cannot control, like our skin colour, spreads to the rest of the world 💖🇳🇬
I didn't know it was like this in africa too. It's definitely a huge problem in the carribeans. A lot of people damaging their skin to appear lighter. Like it's especially hard to maintain light skin even if you do whiten it because you live on a freakin tropical island.
@@queenleslie5917 oh let me tell you colorism is everywhere. I live in America but my dad is Jamaican and my mom is from Sierra Leone so I spend my summers overseas. This video isn't complimentary in my opinion. They were " dissecting" her like she is some strange species. Frankly it's unreal and unnatural. Heejaes made me cry of joy, her reaction was goal. I wish as I was growing up someone showing that level of discomfort for people bullying another person just for their skin color. I remember when I was young I hated my caramel skin because people would call me names and I would cry to myself wishing I was lighter. Now seeing myself in the mirror and loving who I am thinking how stupid of me for letting bullies place complexes in my brain. Love this video for embracing all of this beautiful ladies.
I loved seeing your reaction to these beautiful models. Heejae's reaction to people criticizing others on their skin color was nice to see. I hate how judgmental society is. I remember the first time I had to deal with this was in the 2nd grade. I was playing with a little girl on the playground and her friends came up. I thought they would want to play with us, but they pulled her aside. When she came back over, she said my friends said I shouldn't be playing with a n*****. Until this day I still remember how that moment felt.
It’s so sad that we all pretty much have stories like this :/ and you just know they’re learning it from racist family members at home. That level of hate is not normal for children. I’m glad the next generations are going better!
One of my brothers got it at 2. He was playing with a boy next door through the fence who was around the same age. The boy's mother told him that shouldn't play with the n***** My mum overheard and went to grab my brother. She used to cry every single time she retold the story.
It was nice seeing them use all darker skinned black models, im not but I do notice a lot of videos where “black models/people” are involved they usually use lighter skinned or mixed raced people such as myself so I hope everyone in here who fits the same characteristics as the models in the video I hope you all remember how beautiful you are
as an asian i can say with all my confidence that the idea of "fair skin > dark skin" is common. the idea was born because of the thought dark skin = peasants as they are labor workers who bask their skin under the sun making their skin tanned whilst fair skin = rich/successful as they usually work indoors like offices and such so they dont get tanned. i was born with fair skin so i never experienced any negativity towards my skin tone, however i have experienced being compared to with people who have darker skin. my brother was born fair skinned as well but since he loved playing sport he tends to play outdoors and we live a tropical country resulting him to get his skin tanned. people around us would compare his skin tone to mine and they would criticize him simply for having darker skin, they even told him to stop playing because his skin was getting darker like as if its a bad thing. thankfully my brother never gave a crap and just said "you guys act like my skin getting darker is gonna kill me or something its just a skin chill out" lmao i will never forget that moment. my friends who have dark skin tone would even compare their skin to mine and even say "look im getting paler" ITS SO WEIRD. at that time i thought it was normal since i always experience it and see it on a daily basis and i was rlly young too, but now that i have grown older and is more educated and aware of social stuff it makes me feel so sad that this idea has been tattooed in their minds already. i try so hard to tell them that its ok for them to have dark skin tone and they look pretty with it and yet some of them are still trying to make their skin paler. asian countries really need to get rid of the stupid "fair skin > dark skin". it ruins people's confidence and forces them to be something else when theyre beautiful already with what they are.
This also occurs in the African American community. It’s called colorism. It’s ridiculous and ruins self esteem. We are all made different for a reason.

Like a lot of comments here, I’m a black girl, too. When I see these models, I’m just so happy they can be appreciated for their beauty. I’m not light skinned, but I’m not dark skinned either. I’m somewhere in the middle. Darker skinned people get so much hate because they’re dark, and are even called ugly because of it. Colorism is real, especially in the black community. I guess Heejae is considered kind of dark for a Korean, but I really don’t understand how that matters to who she is as a person and how pretty she is. I love how they expressed themselves in this video and how they described these women. “Phenomenal” is such a powerful word to describe someone and their looks. And it’s really reassuring to know that not all Asian people in general have dated views and prejudices since that’s a fear among a lot of people I know that say they want to visit Korea, myself included. They can accept people because they’re people, no matter what color they are

Heejae, you're Beautiful honey! Don't let Anyone give you a stigma about your skin tones or anything about the way you look. The color of a person skin shouldn't be the deciding factor on how you treat someone. Your skin is beautiful and unique to you. If they don't like it, it's their problem, not yours.
As a person with dusky skin, I was so self conscious of my skin color and my thin features and wavy-curly hair cus people used to refer me as 'that skinny curly hair and a little dark girl'. It took me years till I became an adult to accept the way I am. I stand 5'6 ft tall, with 34-28-37 proportion which according to them is 'thin' but I'm happy the way I am now. People should stop judging someone because of his/her skin color, hair, and size. We are the way we have been created. Can we normalise this!
As a black woman, I'm used to seeing and hearing people say bad things about black women that I actually get surprised when I do hear someone say something good about us. It's refreshing not to hear insults for simply existing or looking different especially dark skinned women the colorism they face is unmatched and they deserve better than what our own community is even giving them.

Choose your best fashion, hair, jewelry, make up that suits you and workout(all shapes are beautiful tho just try to be fit!) take care of your skin, then carry yourself in full confidence with smile . I recently watched the older videis when Heejae first met Byungeun and it is so funny how different they are with each now. Fighting like brother and sister lol. No one should be bullied for any reason!! This world is beautiful because of of how unique everyone is. We should be celebrating it!!
As a white person who is also very interested in the intersection of history/biology/sociology, I always think about how dark skin is basically the original skin. As humans moved away from our origins in Africa, we encountered environments that were more hostile or less nutrient dense. Africa is such a rich, biodiverse place - such a vast continent with so many different flora and fauna as you move across it. Pretty sure the most diverse place on the planet. It makes me think that dark skin is so beautiful and healthy and shining because it IS the healthiest. Skin had to lighten elsewhere because of poorer diets and climates. Not placing value judgments on healthy vs unhealthy btw! I'm disabled myself. I mean this is a hopefully neutral and academic sort of way. But that was always my impression. I see dark skin and think health, if that makes sense?
Thanks for this video. It's nice to hear that there are people out there who believe black is beautiful. It can be hard sometimes hearing people talk down about black and brown skin people. Thanks again, you all ROCK.

Huh? Stfu with that ignorance. Black women around the globe are gorgeous. No matter where a black woman is from, the african dna is shared. So you insulting one black woman from one country, you’re insulting all black women as all are from the african diaspora.
@@johnpaullaizure7330 I am indeed African American and in no way am I or can I take credit for African Europeans. It’s just nice to see women of COLOR, whether they’re European or American , being celebrated for their beauty, because believe it or not we all get treated the same having dark skin.
Black people are attractive, unique, beautifully created. ❤ Love from North Africa my cousins
@@queenleslie5917 It certainly is, although for the black people in Korea, they are faced with racism as well
@@taylove1461 Okay, I guess all the Black men that say colorist things to Black women in media are racist towards themselves.
All of the models looked like goddesses... words aren't enough to describe how heavenly those women looked like!!!
Love hee-jae so much! And love the support towards the models! 😻
I'm happy for you that you now think you are beautiful and I'm sure you are ❤️❤️❤️ sending love to you from Somali sister ❤️🇸🇴

i am a black woman and I love Korean people so much, what makes me sad is the amount of racism against black people I hear that exist in south Korea because I would like to visit once or even live in Korea for a while, but hearing them compliment black women like that makes me so happy, it's bringing awareness that we are all people and we are all different, the amount of melanin in your skin doesn't have anything to do with the type of person you are, and you can be beautiful no matter what skin tone you have.
what also makes me sad is how us black women are perceived ugly around the world bcz of our skin tones, our darkness, our round shapes, and for our kinky hair, we are the least desired group of women just because of features that we are born with and have nothing we can do about it, I really hope that the message spreads around the world and hate towards people bcz of their different features stops, and every one start to see beauty in different forms.
not to be rude but koreans can be racist
As a Native American I so adore black women. They are simply "Flawless"!!❤
I really love Heejae the most but the friendship portrayed here between everyone is really what makes it more entertaining. I love your videos guys
DAMN Gurl that was SAVAGE! ✨
HOPE YOU DON'T GET HURT JUST CAUSE OF THESE FRIGGIN RACIST PEOPLE🥺
That's an unusually smart response for a 7 year old 😂
It's just childish curiosity.

As a light skin, I love dark skin, their skin is flawless. So beautiful 😍 to me.
As a dark skin woman I hate the discrimination that dark skin women show towards lighter skin women. It’s a sad cycle. I’m glad that we starting to embrace our beautiful shades of black though and embrace each other more.
Is it people in your own country that discriminate or are you talking about international platforms where dark skin is not yet popular?
@@mindrecharged7658 Both. I’m from the United States. Lighter skinned black women are seen as “racially ambiguous” and “exotic” and we get fetishized so we get treated with less blatant racism than darker skinned black women.

I’ve seen a lot of things experiencing those cultures AND African American culture. It’s absolutely wild that I’ve seen more acceptance and praise of darker women here than my home countries! There’s nothing like being home amongst your people though :)
This video isn't complimentary in my opinion. They were " dissecting" her like she is some strange species. Frankly it's unreal and unnatural. Criticising or over complimenting, is just not appropriate. I feel uncomfortable when people of a very different race make detailed complimentary comments about my appearance. It just seems like they are looking at me like an object.
@@queenleslie5917 hard to maintain because of DNA. I live in the tropics in Asia and many of us have lived here for generations but are still light skinned.

I'm such a huge fan of all 3 of you, love seeing you together :)
I really appreciate the positive reactions :)

Love watching these three together. They’re so positive and excited about everything!
As a black girl ,I’ve never for once regretted being born black.I think the more you love yourself first before other people do
as an asian i can say with all my confidence that the idea of "fair skin > dark skin" is common. the idea was born because of the thought dark skin = peasants as they are labor workers who bask their skin under the sun making their skin tanned whilst fair skin = rich/successful as they usually work indoors like offices and such so they dont get tanned.
i was born with fair skin so i never experienced any negativity towards my skin tone, however i have experienced being compared to with people who have darker skin. my brother was born fair skinned as well but since he loved playing sport he tends to play outdoors and we live a tropical country resulting him to get his skin tanned. people around us would compare his skin tone to mine and they would criticize him simply for having darker skin, they even told him to stop playing because his skin was getting darker like as if its a bad thing. thankfully my brother never gave a crap and just said "you guys act like my skin getting darker is gonna kill me or something its just a skin chill out" lmao i will never forget that moment.
my friends who have dark skin tone would even compare their skin to mine and even say "look im getting paler" ITS SO WEIRD. at that time i thought it was normal since i always experience it and see it on a daily basis and i was rlly young too, but now that i have grown older and is more educated and aware of social stuff it makes me feel so sad that this idea has been tattooed in their minds already. i try so hard to tell them that its ok for them to have dark skin tone and they look pretty with it and yet some of them are still trying to make their skin paler. asian countries really need to get rid of the stupid "fair skin > dark skin". it ruins people's confidence and forces them to be something else when theyre beautiful already with what they are.
Is it Asians themselves who say those things to you or is it other people?

They can accept people because they’re people, no matter what color they are
I was hoping they’d show Winnie Harlow too. We are so diverse so.
