So they can run for 100m and run out of gas? This thing looks heavy as fuck.

We got real-life stalker armor before we even got Gta 6
definitely a great idea for urban combat and anyone first through a door.
more than that really - look at Ukraine for example. One of the biggest problems they are going to be facing is population, so in that scenario you want highest possible survivability. Now the reason for most casualties is artillery/shrapnel, now imagine how much more shrapnel protection you could put on someone running in something like this. Then think storming trenches, which also is often the case in that war. Think drones - the nades they drop aren't big and its again mostly shrapnel.
Overall systems like this could easily be an answer to a lot of problems, however it is still probably reaaally far away. Power supply is one of the issues, next there is a question of how well it handles rough conditions. What about all the added weight in the mud? Now how about space for soldiers wearing a kit like this in IFVs? And so on...
Still cool though and we can be pretty sure its gonna happen sooner or later.
@@notyetidentified9720 yeah I'm sure that big suit protects you from artillery and thermobaric rockets... 👍
@identified9720 Sometimes it also relies on how fast a soldier can move in and out which will probably see more use in door to door combat than out in the field.
Too bulky, heavy, hot etc. It's impractical. If it were to be used the PT standards need to be much higher and the troops need to be trained in heat resistance. And they'd need to be optimally hydrated before the mission. Anything could happen in a battle. If they are out there running, and their adrenaline is through the roof and the battle goes on for more than an hour or so depending on the temperature, it's very plausible they will have severe heat strokes and die.
Spec ops guys usually clear the rooms with out anyone getting shot anyway. Even infantrymen are pretty good at it. The armor would add extra protection but it would make a lot of noise. So I suppose if the enemy knew you were coming then the armor would be ideal but if you're trying to be stealthy and have an element of surprise. You want less gear on
Damn, this looks amazing! Can I get one for €340?
I WANT IT NOW
Tree Fiddy 😂
Straight up looking like a rainbow six siege operator trailer
There's a reason you only see this shit in video games. If it were affordable and practical the military would already be using them. But they would be both expensive and inefficient. Civilians never consider heat and the fatigue. Heat is an infantrymans worse enemy. Even just in training I've seen many men lose consciousness, have seizures, get brain damage etc. From heat. Almost died myself once... and that was with less shit on than this. It doesn't seem like it would be that big of a deal to Civilians but that's because Civilians never put on 3 layers of clothes and carry 100 pounds in the summer heat walk 15 miles. It feels like your internal organs are cooking inside you, one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life lol. And a decent amount do die from it. You just never hear about it
@@McCarthy1776the exo skeleton is meant to help with that
@@McCarthy1776 People say this about any new technology that is only in its infantile phase. Give it a decade and maybe every soldier will be using it.
@@McCarthy1776 you do realize the suit uses a passive exoskeleton and composite armor plates right?
Looks really cool on stairs. But can one go prone and stand up in it?
Not meant for that
What for tho
Why not? When you can do all of that in full medieval plate armor, jumping jacks included. He can walk around and move reasonably normal, of course he can go prone and stand up again. Is it sensible to do that? That depends on the situation and the use case for it.
@@mephisto8101medieval armor won’t stop a rifle round
@@Nach0s187 That absolute statement does not stand.
If you talk about modern rifle rounds, then most likely a medieval breast plate is not protective.
However, when firearams first came up they didn't pack the punch they had a century or two later.
In these days it was very common for armorers to test the effectiveness of their plate by shooting it. There are lots of armor pieces still around from these times, where the armorer has done test shots on it and the plate has a sigil on it that this specific piece was able to hold a bullet. ("Beschusstest")
However, technology for firearms quickly progressed and what was true in 1500 was no longer valid in 1700. Firearms became much more potent in this time and had better abilities to penetrate armor.
Hence, we see a reduction in armor protection in latter times due to the progression of effectiveness of firearms.
Be interesting to see how it deals with the real world like mud, rain and stuff getting into the joins. it would be usefull for transfer of tank and artillery rounds etc . I can not see if being useful in real world battlefield where you re dealing with land mines . Then police will find it useful . It's all about cost vs what you could buy instead.
its designed for building breaching where they send in the front guy in first, to having extra armor to project against rifles or handle sustained small arms fire is fantastic.
it's not meant for battle field use really. Its more for Swat type operations. for short and intense close in work.
From what I read, this is for the French GIGN, so it will be just for Urban Counter Terrorism raids and such. Not the Battlefield.
what if it had snow shoes for tha mud
Actually, it comes down to is it worth the cost of a suit to protect 1 human life?
If it is less expensive to replace the human... 💀
Did they get Deus Ex ost samples for this presentation? :)
I've seen Wagner forces wear the most bulkiest armor in combat but this is next level

They literally

Yeah but that's like shitty soviet flak armor and stuff. From what I've heard it sucks to wear but an exoskeleton could offset that
I have a knee injury from my time in the military but this wound be perfect for injured vets like myself to get back into training! Very fascinating stuff!
Nah that's for making more injured men like you.
They'll eventually need to ground the weight better. An overboot/underboot. That way some of the weight is distributed thru the ground and not fully on the person and their knee joints.

Thinking from a medics view; what about the ease of taking it off in emergencies? Seems like a pain to get off a soldier who has undergone trauma.
Just shoot it off, it’ll break off with ease like armor plates in warzone and then you can render aid
There should probably be a lever that jettisons all plates and detaches the exoskeleton
well its mainly designed for swat teams so it wouldn't be that much of a trouble
the future has already arrived!
Gimme one!
One for EOD guys will be helpful.
This sort of tech MIGHT be viable in 10-15 years. It's still very far away and might be an obsolete idea by the time something like this could ever be viable to begin with.
I think flying drones are going to get smaller and more versatile with more sensors and be able to do 90% of the fighting and DB-type robotics will do a good portion of the logistics and handling, while driverless vehicles do the shipping. The only human element will be someone sitting comfortably behind a controller at a base back home, commanders, IT engineers and technicians, ordinance systems specialists, and command. The battlefield will mostly be robots dispatching humans that are part of a regime/military/rebellion that do not have access to robotics tech and support.
Of course this is a slippery slope into allowing the wrong person to handle such autonomous power, but that is what checks and balances are for. I don't believe something like terminator's skynet could ever exist outside of scifi. As someone that works around this industry, I see a far brighter future where less harm comes to humans due to automation, conflicts are solved much faster with less bloodshed, humans are more free to do positive things for themselves and the world with access to UBI, socialized healthcare, robotics, and AI that can supplement an entire team helping you get through your day. The people wishing to exploit this system simply can't due to the complexity of human-involved support, isolated proprietary programming, and a logistical network that is run by AI that can't be influenced by any malicious outside data.
We already have systems like this in place, and they are getting safer and better in every way, literally everyday. We have seen nothing but positives from these systems, even seeing drones being far more effective as a fighting force with better precision and an allowance of mercy. Russians in Ukraine waving the white flag and being taken into custody, dangerous criminals backed into a corner being hit with less than lethal and pepper spray by a robot to get them into a position to be put into custody, and of course these systems being used for non-violence. Such as removing slave-wage jobs, taking up jobs that are dangerous and damaging to the human body, and menial tasks that create incredibly important data to analyze and improve conditions, equipment, etc..
I think the human element being taken out of danger allows for better control of a situation, allowing for cooler heads to prevail. I think exosuits may be supplementary to some jobs, but will mostly be used by the hadicapped. I don't think exosuits will be sued for any sort of battle or war, just ridiculous notion all-around.
nice idea...

Nice hockey suit
This is wild
Is this just so the VA makes it harder for knee pain to be covered as service related?
Is this ok for the trenches?
Yeah like is it mud and water proof or will that mess up the Electronics?
lets see how well it performs against a high powered magnet
"What you're seeing here is advanced warfare" - Jonathan Irons
How is the agility?
could definitely see a use for the SWAT team and breachers.
master chief, a tactical AI to help judge distance, wind speed, and location. coupled with stealth AI drones to provide a map of the area
Is this gonna be equipt by the special polizeis and special forces like KSK, GSG-9 and SEK?
What is price that device?
Soldiers in recent wars barely ever died from bullets, it's usually IEDs. The current body armor we have already stops most bullets to the torso and head shots are much harder than they are on call of duty.
Does it have a cooling system?
Does it work on batteries or hybrid?
Ect.
it uses a passive exoskeleton you can read it up on their site
I really hope this works, imagine being a knight and they just give you one metal plate strapped to your chest. We need bulletproof suits
I want this with my onewheel.😮

Выглядят круто, мощно. Но насколько этот экзоскелет хорош на деле?
its passive meaning its meant to take weight off the spine and legs which makes it great on carrying more armor, it was designed first for bomb suits but due to how mobile the exoskeleton was they are now using it for increased armor protection against rifles.
If this where an video game enemy variant their weak spot would totally be their back considering the lack of armor compared to the front
To go shopping during Black Friday
DEUS-EX VIBES, THE MUSIC IS THE SAME TOO.
the armour kinda looks goofy but i could see groups like the chicago swat team maybe making good use out of the actual exo skeleton
Fck yeah, get some.🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
This is excellent design! It would be impractical though for any battlefield I believe besides a local one. What if a person falls over? Perhaps artificial-muscles would be the best for this design? Both a passive longevity and active extension. (Powered by hydrogen perhaps, created by an on-sight generator.)
Where can i order one
I'd worry about the heat.
It's the limitation for using medieval armor if you are exerting yourself.
Usual concerns about how much of a tradeoff there is between mobility and protection, and from what kind of weapons. Most modern body armour (not ballistic shields) can really only take a handful of hits before it's not useful anymore, so this needs to grant the wearer the same flexibility and speed as a soldier in a flak vest, but much better protection. If this slows the wearer to the extent they can be easily targetted by repeated fire, it becomes useless.
Bet this one is going to be implemented only for cqb since theres no way to carry this heavy shit for hours in woods or more open terrain,
Also this is modular to there are a lot of weaker spots since its mostly plates. It's a step to get to more futuristic armors so we will see how it will turn out in more rough tests
well the passive exoskeleton is meant to take the strain of the extra plates so it should be fine, but yeah its mainly designed for building breaching and close quarters combat against active shooters.
"what you're seeing is advanced warfare"
Is it Adam Jensen-proof?
Government be like "Nah, it's cheaper to train a rookie and burry the casualty than to buy this thing."
oh thats u.s standards at least in europe they offer higher grade armor and coverage
The grunts won’t get it, but there could be suits for certain squads and platoons to use when they want. Police swat teams could use it for raids.
It's actually pretty damn expensive to properly train a soldier. So unless you're gonna go Russians at bakmut stile and just send waves of convict meat shields and have the manpower reserves to do so, that's not really a viable long term strategy.

This will go through the usual Military, Police Trade Show/Expo route like all the other Exoskeletons that have come out in the last 20+ years. Then it will ultimately be shelved and/or abandoned for something that's even less cost effective. Like Hover Bikes or Jet Packs.
dawg you haven't been studying how this was made and designed, mehler has been making full body heavy armor rigs for over a decade for swat teams using hard armor
this armored exoskeleton is designed for swat teams for breach buildings to handle rifle fire or sustained small arms fire, hopefully you can understand that.
@@TimothyMark7 So have a lot of other Companies that make the same products. Plate Carriers and Exoskeletons are not one in the same. One is a Dime a dozen on the Market, and the other will require more precision manufacturing that will cost a shit ton more to the Consumer. I am not holding out for this to be nothing more than a niche product, or anything at all. This is not Call of Duty bro, no Police Department other than maybe Dubai is going to buy this for their Tactical Team. They seem to like throwing money away on ridiculous things that never pan out.
@@CuervoBlack07 I have no idea how is this related to call of duty, but from the looks of it you never studied body armor or even European body armor companies at all, mehler has been making full body hard armor rigs for decades, European swat teams have been using full body hard armor for over a decade compared to the U.S that would use soft armor that's using decade old aramid materials
secondly do you even know what does a passive exoskeleton do or how does it even work or even how it works compared to powered exoskeletons?
Remember, dont skipped leg day 😅

Knee hinges are too small and weak. The axle diameter in joints is too small. There are too many long cantilever parts that will break.
I'd guess it's augumenting the soldier, not making it weightless
So is that entire backpack the battery? Can it detect drones flying over head? This thing already seems obsolete if it can't see a drone coming.
We have mark one eyeballs for that, plus vehicle mounted sensors. They aren’t going to stick a radar dish on someone’s back.
@@tylerandrews4375 Yeah I know a radar dish probably wouldn't fit however I feel like for the amount of money you spend on this thing, they might as well just buy a bunch of drones and be far more combat effective.

Advanced Warfare.
Looks good but still too bulky. If they can slim it down it might be more practical.
maybe because larger plates make it better for multi hit capability hence why its bulker, the u,s tried to go for a very slim version a decade back and it didn't do well due to the armor plates not dispersing the energy or handling multiple shots, this on the other hand can thanks to the larger and more advanced armor plates.
Why do he have a high cut helmet 😭
