Granger, I lost my son 3 years ago and the journey through the grief has taken on so many faces and continues to surprise me. Jesus Calling saw me through the early stages of grief and even now, 3 years later, I continue to work through the grief, discovering the new me that has been left to move forward. My heart and my prayers have been with you and Amber as you walk your journey. This journey isn’t for the faint of heart, but the rewards I see beginning to materialize as I share and encourage the people God places in my path has given the pain and grief purpose. I get to carry the message that God is faithful even in the worst situations that life throws at you.
Absolutely love all things YEE YEE. Between these podcasts, the Smith's and the music it really makes my day. Just heard Happens like that on my way into work on the local radio station. Keep up the good work. YEE YEE!
I've been following your families journey for a while. I have no words for what you've been through. I almost lost two children because of pneumonia at infant age. One was six months old. The other a week old. That was well over 45 years ago. As I watch you and Amber progress I'm humbled by how you handle this. I gain strength in mankind because of you. May God continue to give you and yours strength and guidance.
I lost my husband on January 25th this year and it has been beyond difficult. Some days are okay and some days I can barely breathe. Thank you for sharing the Ted Talks, I will absolutely listen to those!
Like you I lost a child, I's not easy, but like you said take a breath and keep on going. You never know what is coming next. Love, be kind, give to others, help people, pray, ask God to help you go through difficult times and give thank for every day you are alive. Always will missed my child and have good days and not so good days. Blessings and love the Smiths.

Grief is a by product of love. I lost my husband 7 years ago. The grief has softened and life moves forward , but life isnt the same because Im not the same.

Mr. Smith, man you are an inspiration. I know you have been/still going through a very traumatic episode. Something that I could never relate to. Now we all are going through an unprecedented trying time as a country and as a world. I have gone through a lot in my life (A lot because of my poor decisions). Listening to your podcasts and watching the Smiths really gets me through the tough times when I dwell on my past. I know that I should not dwell on the past but during this lockdown it’s very difficult not to. Even with all of your fame, I have never come across a more humble, family oriented and selfless person. You have a future as an inspirational speaker if for some far off reason, all else fails. Just want to say thank you. I don’t comment often but definitely have to comment on one of your videos. This comment is not specific to this video. You and your family are beautiful. Putting others before yourself is an awesome feeling and you are a great example of that. Cannot give you enough kudos. Please keep it up. I’ve lost everything, including my wife and I am at an age where I probably won’t have children. You, your family and God make it a lot easier on me. This is not all about me though. Thanks again.

Its that bond also when you been gone and your almost home its great feeling. Now heres were i scare alot people. Those who have families and set home all the time with no job no cash comeing in in this situation i have repeatedly seen them split up and divorce or just fight and argue all time.its not life my people. Get up and move forward build that awesome life so when retirement comes and you dont have to work you paid your dues. When i see these elders retired but they find small jobs. Now thats my work ethics. Never quit unless like the ones have been hurt bad or have a seriously bad disability that disables you that sucks i live on 500 cash now that others work so hard to pay for me set home hurt awaiting my departure from this world. Love it wish we could listen to the other 19 although we don't have I phones and have yet to find them. I love that you are so real and willing to answer all questions across the board. I also think that it's super respectful of you when you say you don't want to be too pushy with religion or God being that you have a platform you could very easily do that but instead you just answer questions that are asked give your two cents and move on. I'm not saying I hate it when Amber does her little spill on devotionals it's just not something that we do nor are we of any religion. We believe that we are good people and we strive to be good people and help anytime that we can and that's enough for us. it doesn't mean that we disrespect anybody in their beliefs it's just simply that we are okay with who we are and we are just fine with who you are acceptance is key in so many aspects of life. The fact that you guys are so vulnerable is unreal to me. How does one that does not do any kind of social media ask a question? anyway I'm getting long winded with things so thank you for sharing this with us we look forward to the future episodes. I lost my fiance to gun violence 3 years ago. It has been a process. I agree I'm not the same person I was when it happened. I've changed. I still have my bad days but not as often as when it 1st happened. I try to enjoy life as much as I can. The one thing it taught me was tomorrow isn't promised.

I love that your putting your podcast here on TH-cam, I Love the Smith’s so much, I’m the wife of a working away hubby and it’s hard somedays having to say those Goodbyes But he’s giving us the Life we enjoy, it’s hard for him also, all our children have grown, so it’s just me at home and it gets so lonely some days, but we talk on the phone often throughout the day when he has time, when he’s home we make the Best of That Time, which is only a week, he still has to work from home, but at least we’re together for that time, To the Pilot who asked the question...I’m sure your family appreciates everything your doing for Them, it’s your Job, your setting an example for your children, make the most of the time your Home with them, like Granger said, some Dad’s who work a 9-5 job don’t spend as much time with their families as a working away Dad does, your doing a Job you Love and that’s what counts....I’m not here to enter the giveaway, but I’d Love for Granger to tour Australia 🇦🇺 one day....Granger You and your Family are an inspiration to many out there, I Respect what you do and say So Much....Love your music, it touches the Soul with your words.....Blessings to Your Whole Family from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈

It’s not cool by any means, but I do believe that learning to balance and cope is the Great purpose of life. It’s meant to be hard, have bittersweet moments but also be amazingly awesome at times. It’s what we do with it all that matters.

You are a country boy for sure...:) I learned to drive with a old International Pickup Truck, three on the tree...My sisters never knew what I meant by, ( Three on the Tree) it was my father in laws truck, Red , Old, Beat up , and my father in law had his chainsaw chain hanging from the rear view mirror, It always dangled back & fourth as I was grinding the gears , while learning to drive...lol...I had definitely married into a Country Boy Family...;)

Granger, I am a 62 yr old that really believes REAL country music has died. Some of what that is called country music , I feel isn’t, thsts not to say it isn’t Good music it’s just not what I gues I was raised on. I will say your music is country music because it tells a story, it it’s words spoken from your heart, but anyway this isn’t what I wanted to say to you,

I watched this podcast this morning on youtube. I just want to say that I firmly believe that God is pleased with how you and your family are handling life and it's twists and turns. It takes courage to say you are going thru or have gone thru something, but it takes extra courage to expand on the situation to tell what helped or didn't help you get thru the situation. When my Mom passed away I learned several things...
One of my personal friends is the Southern Gospel singer Karen Peck (Gooch) of Karen Peck and New River. She knew and loved my Mom. She told me, "Life will be different, but it can still be good." I have found that to be true.
One of the things that helped me was a series of grief meetings at my church at that time...led by the Preacher. One night he gave us homework...get some posterboard and old magazines and scissors and make a collage of pictures or words that remind you of the person who passed away. A hard but good oh so simple task...and it made me feel better...
Sending prayers that you remain steadfast in God and keep sharing bits and pieces of your life because you will truly never know how many people you help along the way. Not sure who first said this, but it is 100% true that "We rise by lifting others!"
