Very Interesting. Ancient Tales I should've known about. Did you know The Great Roman Empire got it's ass whooped by Nubia ? What about Mansa Musa ?

Evil? How is he evil if he punishes evildoers?

In the sense that he's always with you, helping you do more harm

@@Africanachronicles229 Wouldn't that constitute a push towards one being more aligned with their Ikenga? In the context of the story, where the young man had a part of his will which was resistant to the compulsions attributed to Arobinagu. As in he still had a choice but he chose to submit to the compulsions as opposed to drawing a line with himself to not cross and violate that which is sacred. Where does the line become drawn between what Arobinagu causes or what the young man fails to hold sacred? Just trying to grasp the thought. It must be practical wisdom to extract from the story other than "Arobinagu is evil". That is contrary to many other teachings

You lied ! Arobinagu have nothing to do with evil , in fact Arobinagu is the gods of herb 🌿.. he gives the native doctors the wisdom to know which herb is for a particular sickness.

How could you say that Arọbinagụ is evil? Unless you’re talking about a different one, and not the one Igbo knows about.

Every god has the capacity to curse and bless. In this story, Arobinagu curses obi
