Same here. I should have picked it up at Walmart last year like I almost did, now I have to rely on the crappy webcam from my Laptop to do my online classes and it sucks! Its almost 3x the price wherever it is in stock!
Yup. All bought out and re-sold on amazon and ebay for more than twice it's cost. Can't get webcams literally anywhere. Huge inconvenience. I just got lucky and my girlfriend had an old 720p webcam lying around. If I didn't have that I wouldn't have even been able to start streaming.

I bought a c920 in Dec 2019, it works flawlessy, never had any driver issues or crashes on Windows 10. I only paid $79 Canadian, which is about $50 US. Now i suddenly see them on Amazon for $200 again, seems that Covid has made a lot of quarantined people rush online to buy webcams, so they jacked the price. As for quality, with proper lighting and some tinkering, such as filters and experimenting with different LUT's you can get this camera to look REALLY good, almost as good as DSLR's
I managed to get my hand on a NOS in the 2nd-hand goods store. Its really value for money for the 1080P quality with the auto-focus. It still worked with my latest version of Windows10.
The C920 has definitely been the workhorse of the streaming world but it's time it got a significant upgrade. Harris from the Alpha Gaming channel made a video talking about how there are no real webcams made for streamers. Personally, I'm going to be saving up for a mirrorless camera plus CamLink and whatever else I need unless something made for streamers comes out before then.
I was intending to buy a C920. I've watched douzens of videos about this camera and you're the one whom convinced me to not buy it. Thank you! By the way, C920 here in Brazil is now costing 650,00 brazilian reais which is about 100 dollars (increased because of Corona crisis). I have an old mirrorless Nikon camera here and I'll try to use it as a webcam.
It works on Windows 10 perfectly and the camera app that comes with the OS allows you to manually focus the webcam and solves the issue of "hunting". This is useful when you want the camera to focus on a particular plane. The audio of c920, like all other inbuilt mics, is not good and I would recommend one to use a separate mic. You have got to have good lighting though. Overall good webcam.
I am watching this in April 2020. C920 on Amazon have shot up to $199. What is up with that? The C922 is over $250. What happened to webcam pricing in 2020?

OMG I haven't had a better web cam than the C920. The picture is perfect, the videos are perfect, I have an old HP Pavillion windows 7 updated to windows 10 and a 3T hard drive this camera is perfect for meetings virtually with my doctors, my friends, it was $48.00 on Amazon
Anyone know why Walmart sells them so cheap at $30? Even though yes it's out of stock right now but just seems a little sketchy when that's like $20 off the average prices everywhere else.
Very helpful review. This cam is $120 on Amazon presently(when this comment was posted) and I don’t think, given its specs, is not worth that price. And also helpful to know what it does and how it works with this wonderfully detailed review. I’ll have to keep searching for a better more modern mountable webcam. I recently saw something similar to this, discussing why ppl are still using this camera(I use it btw). I can't remember who it but they were comparing it to Chinese cameras of higher quality. The 920 is okay but it has flaws, I see them every time I start my stream 😉

Good reasoning here! When you are talking about DSLR. Could you put equivalent EU model name there as well? In EU there are the same DSLRs but they have different names for some reason.
Oh yeah sure, I use the canon 550D but i'd recommend a 600D for the swivel screen or even a more recent for the live auto-focus. That being said I don't need either of those features

i have this and got this in around 2013/2014. It have worked fine until a year ago or so. I have connected it to a USB 3.0 port, the PC does register it. But it still just shows a black screen :( any help?

@@ListlessAU Yeah it seems it's a well known issue that Logitech have failed to fix.. I can adjust in Slobs (Streamlabs OBS) but also I had the webcam software that I adjusted through outside of OBS and still the same issue with it not saving.. \o>

I bought one last week for £80 and was very dissatisfied with it. Despite extensive reworking of its settings, it seemed stuck on 480p resolution. The picture was fuzzy, unfocused and washed out. I assume I got a faulty one - and I sent it back - but it has put me off buying another Logitech webcam. I got far better results with my ancient iPad Air 2.

Ugh, had me until “it can bug out and autofocus repeatedly”. Yeah, have that problem now with my Super crappy Microsoft Lifecam 5001. Problem is that while the driver works for Windows 10, they have no software (that I can find) that allows me to turn that off. Sounds like this camera has all the same problems the Lifecam does.

the Logi software is not nessesary, i managed to find in my Windows 10 settings how to dodge extra software to be able use the camera
I don't use the Logitech software either however if I restart my computer SLOBS forgets my custom changes to my camera

the way i see it, if Jacksucksatlife still uses a c920 and has over a million subscribers i think it will do just fine.
Have a C920 and Im very satisfided never had any issues with it and aslong as your lighting is good it will look insane.

The Blue Screen of death was probably caused by 2 drivers not working well with each other. I had the same error with my sound card.

I use sparkocam, but look into it, might not be the best solution for you
JFTR: by the end of 2020 the C920 works totally fine with Windows 10 20H2 (tested on multiple machines).
I used my cellphone as a webcam for a while. :)worked pretty well
