You are a lifesaver! I've been looking for a way to keep settings in OBS for a long time. Who knew the answer was, "Use another software"? Thank you!!!
I really thought you just saved the day! Alas I have given up on this camera and honestly all things logitech. I have spent too many hours troubleshooting logitech problems. I have spent too many days watching youtube videos on how to make logitech hardware work. No product of quality that costs as much as a c920 does should take days of troubleshooting to make work. You're video's are amazing and pure gold thank you so much for the info. Logitech can go suck a butt! Keep up the amazing videos bud!
Wow thanks a lot man! The auto * exposure auto focus was messing with my green screen and setting!! This had helped me maintain an awesome stream no clipping or different shades !! Amazing I can’t thank you enough I have my skin on point!
I'd like to be able to follow these instructions but you don't say how you get to the OBS screen (02:45). What do I need to download to get access to that screen??????
Wow! I've been looking for this information for long time. Thank you! Solved most of my problems :-) Just to share, I'm not broadcasting, but studying computer vision and I need to control focus and exposure manually. Of course, I'm on a really short budget, that's why I'm going for a webcam. Certainly a industrial camera would do much better. For now, you video saved me. Hats off to you and I wish Logitech recognizes your service.
A perfect example of a streamer who mind the usefull stuff. Gael you truly deserve all the respect, The Auto exposure "above -5" absolutely destroys the fps and resets itself all the time, and i'm still trying to figure out why it's not saving the settings.. What i have done is dedicated my third screen to my obs leaving plane9 on at all time for that seksi audio spectrum as i'm streaming music "dj'ing" it is one of the things i just dont want to be forced to redo everytime i close down the program. As for the cam, i think as soon as you've setup the positioning and manual settings etc, you really don't need to "ever" turn off your computer, todays systems have very clever energy saving presets, i simply leave the pc on at all time.
ty man. I didnt know how to save options from camera to obs... but still I just can't zoom in my camera. It's able to move in obs camera options but nothing happen
Thank you. I downloaded Logi capture a few weeks ago and didn’t like it. Never used it again. It was doing very weird things. Lol. Your video was super helpful thank you!
I original used this setup with Logitech G hub but it can also be done by adding a colour correction filter in OBS. I'm not sure if one is better or worse than the other but another possible option? Pretty sure it saves too. Great vid as usual. So many tips.
I have an issue: Everything is set MANUAL in my TikTok live studio cam settings, BUT everytime I get a gift thay shows on my face - exposure goes crazy and everything goes white. I then have to correct the exposure again. How to prevent it from doing stuff like that????
I have this webcam and I use streamlabs OBS. At some point my video will start lagging and the video will be desynced from the audio. I really hope this will fix that problem too. I use Logi Capture because it installed automatically, but will definitely deinstall immediately. Thank you for posting this video
I just use 1080P inside OBS and then put a few filters on to correct the look. This is a good idea though for those that need to save settings for use in different programs.
Amazing! Thank you so much for the feedback on LogiCapture. I tried to use that and I was thinking that the problem was me. But you showed all the stuff. Thanks, man!
To use this with Zoom, do I have to set up a virtual camera and leave OBS open all day? I would rather have my camera be 1080P automatically, without needing another software open. I thought my camera was broken when it was just set to 360P, but I found a fix using Logitech Capture. Thanks!
Hey Geal Level, I have a problem with the C920 not saving settings on StreamLabs obs, im not sure if you have suggestions on how to get the Video capture device settings to save. (Every time I restart my pc the settings reset)
Thanks for the helpful video man ! So what about the webcam settings within the streaming program, do you juste turn off everything that was on automatic and handle the rest on g hub ?
Do you advise the Logitech C920 to make videos with the daylight coming through the window? I work during the day and I feel crazy to shut the natural light to make the video . My main problem is the contrast white-black in the the two areas of the face.
I have a c930e and my settings keep resetting everytime i restart my pc. G-hub doesn't support the c930e and i can't seem to find a fix for the problem. Can anyoine PLEASE help me, it's really getting on my nerves.
G Hub doesn't actually work. The presets never stick, and It doesn't even have an option for changing the gain, which for some reason it constantly at max on my C920. Ditching that camera and upgrading as soon as I can.
Are you running the G hub software while you are doing your recording? Because the settings are not applied unless the software is running. The gain seems to be controlled by the brightness slider in G hub software.
Im pissed, if i leave g hub open and I deactivate my cam on discord or OBS and reactivate it again, the settings change! Is this normal or did I F up something cause im about to break neck
How do I make it so that I can save from Logi Capture (Horizontal Flip) Under advanced settings, and then have it look just like that in OBS but you know... ideally uninstall Logi Capture after I configure it.
Hey, are you using a two pc setup? If you are you should go over it / do a tutorial on it. I have a dual pc setup for streaming but makes recording quality great as well.
Where do you get the older settings app? My C920 settings look nothing like those - sharpness is missing, it looks "newer" than the standard windows style settings there but it's got stuff missing. There's an even newer "Logitech Camera Settings" app I downloaded from their website but that's got even less controls!
I've tried all of these and still not getting 1080p. We typically live stream and night, but use a lighting kit. Is my lighting wrong? I'll record a video tomorrow and tag you in it so maybe you can help me. Thank you for the video, btw.
Sadly this doesnt work for me.. theres a bug on Logitech G Hub and even if you disable exposure and set it at some level... when you start sharing your camera in other app, exposure is going to be messed up and automatic.
Great vid, thanks. I was having a terrible time with using damn LogiCapture to get a good picture and you showed me it wasn't me - it's the software. Am using GHUB successfully but having 2 issues (1) when I open Ghub the viewer stays blank, no camera feed into it (my camera is on). Do you know why? (2) My output is usually Zoom meetings. Whenever I start a new zoom meeting, the camera goes back to its old (generally overexposed) look even tho' ghub settings are still where I put them. I have to then make a slight change to a ghub setting then the ghub settings translate to the Zoom output. Any suggestions? Thanks
great tips gael 😁 i was one of them on your insta that said i got a t2i after your last video 😂 but honastly i did my research before buying it and to be fair it only cost me 75 gbp plus a 25 gbp elgato, im aware of the lack of features it has with no option for always on lcd and no clean hdmi. ive looked into it and magic lantern seems to be the solution 🤔 can make it always on and clean hdmi without using sparko or eos utility for capture and hopfully still get a good image like yours after 👍 oh and i got a niffty fifty lens too 💖
@@AkibanaZero nah sorry not a camlink a capture card dude, i dont plan on using a console and dslr at the same time so a capture card is fine for me..... if you are not aware elgato has some bugs when it comes to using two capture cards at once, but ill only be using one
thanks for saving my keister on this one man. I was wondering why my webcam feed looked like a potato no matter what I did in OBS.... smh I thought I was going crazy when this device that supposedly advertised 1080p was recording in such poor quality
I am just really watching this video to help with my setup on my Logi cam and I agree with you. You cannot have Logi and obs working at the same time. For me this software is pointless
One question, I used G-hub since the day after I got my C920 and I enjoy the preset and the way you can change your own preset into standard. One thing I do have an issue with is flicker. I saw it present on at least one of your showings of the image, and I'm not sure how to get it gone. Do you have any thoughts?
On the logitech software put the exposure to manual and try different exposures until the flicker is gone. also changing the anti flicker setting on the video setting side may help
Thank you for this awesome video I have been relegated to a new computer. I use my logitech brio and I had no idea what the fuck was going on why it wasn’t setting to the settings I needed. Thanks for your video. I was able to keep the wide screen on my logitech and just mess around as best as I could. Thank you thank you so much.
Thank you for your always great videos :) but using a Logitech software I am always thinking Logitech wants me to suffer. Logitech G Hub recognised only my C920, not C525, not the new StreamCam. I could live with it but I disabled C920 in G Hub, to see what happens and I was unable to enable it again. Whenever I clicked the option to uncheck it, showed me a message "Go to settings" and it was checked again. I had to remove the AppData/LGHUB folder. When I move the sliders in video settings it does not show any change until I release the mouse button and the white balance slider does not even show any value as a reference to the position, not even in percent.
Also one thing to mention is if you have a 120 or 144Hz monitor this thing can flicker like a bitch if you're right in front of your screen. Good lighting that washes out the screen backlight on your face seems to reduce it, although every other exposure setting on the slider seems to make it worse. There's no 120 or 144hz anti-flicker, whereas if you set your monitor to 60Hz it goes away.
Thanks for the mention!
O.o no problem ^^ good to see your here :)
7:24 me : downloads logicapture

Yeah color correction filter doesn't control the actual camera sensor, but it is a good way of tweaking the look. The sharpen filter also helps
@@Gael_Level okay that makes good sense. Back to G hub. Thanks again!
