It happens - I always plan for my practices to go well without issue, and they never do 🙂As for moving on, if you're not getting anything from it, and it's only serving to make you resent learning, then dump it. Plenty of other things you could be playing.
Fortunately, ended up being my last lesson with it. Plus, I feel the extra time (or just the long amount of time on general, not necessarily this one lesson's worth) helped me quite a bit with the next piece I worked on, though only because they were very similar.
