Even some of the animators got fired or quit production. They even released a documentary called The Sweatbox showing some of the problems behind the scenes.
There was also a deleted scene where after pacha left the market, but landed at the troops training which is considered more dark tone. You’ll have to see it yourself.
The story of this began as an adaptation the classic tale "The Prince & The Pauper" with Pacha & Kuzco as identical strangers. A decent way into production (and with a fair amount of money put into things) they realized it wasn't working & basically had to start it all over from scratch with a fraction of the time left for production.

So they altered the ending so that Kuzco instead only built the small house we see here.

He told that he nearly lost his voice when he vouced him for " The Mask " If you didn't notice it, the cactus next to Yzma turned into a lama too 🤭
For the longest time, I didn't even realize Kuzco was only 18 since he was voiced by a grown man and all, so it's like - no wonder he was such a brat! It also makes sense that Pacha was willing to be patient and help guide him into being a better person. I'm sure if Kuzco was well into his 20s or 30s, Pacha probably wouldn't be nearly so kind.
There is a simple reason Kuzco's transformation is the only one that isn't instantaneous. The potion was watered down by the wine, and separating it into three cups (which produced smaller clouds) watered it down further.
@@moneylover318 It's ok. As far as Disney direct to DVD sequel went it wasn't terrible, but I think the lack any real stakes and the lack of effort put in it is what turns most people off. My personal theory is that without someone like Yzma to work off of, a Kronk charater is really hard to do well, and unfortunately she only shows up for like ten minutes in the sequel.
It's crazy that 24:09 is a huge meme! Back when this movie was first coming out, the waterfall bit was the "big moment" for the trailer they would show all of the time. Amazing how well this movie holds up.

Disney's funniest animated movie...ever. I lose it completely in the restaurant scene with the characters running in and out, hiding and Kronk being clueless to the inssniyy🤣🤣🤣
The guy who voiced the old man being thrown out was John Fiedler. The original voice of piglet, he would continue to voice piglet until his death in 2005. This was his very last film role.
My favorite Yzma line: it’s brilliant brilliant brilliant I tell you genius I say. My favorite characters is Kronk and am I the only one who thinks him and Scorpia from She-ra are very similar? I remember when me and my sister were kids, whenever we would have noodles for dinner I would recreate the restaurant scene from when Kuzco and Patcha enters the restaurant to when Kronk becomes the new chef. Also Kuzco is voiced by David Spade and Patcha is voiced by John Goodman

If you didn't notice it, the cactus next to Yzma turned into a lama too 🤭
For the longest time, I didn't even realize Kuzco was only 18 since he was voiced by a grown man and all, so it's like - no wonder he was such a brat! It also makes sense that Pacha was willing to be patient and help guide him into being a better person. I'm sure if Kuzco was well into his 20s or 30s, Pacha probably wouldn't be nearly so kind.
There is a ‘sequel’ - it’s called Kronk’s New Groove - so… tada! Kronk movie!
Without a doubt, The Emperor’s New Groove is the funniest Disney film ever!
There is a simple reason Kuzco's transformation is the only one that isn't instantaneous. The potion was watered down by the wine, and separating it into three cups (which produced smaller clouds) watered it down further.
David Spade has a hilarious voice for tantrums. "llama face!"
When you ask if it was a all Kronk s movie... It actually is!! 😂 Kronk's new groove 👍
I don't know why people hate it. I like it
@@moneylover318 It's ok.
@@moneylover318 The Nostalgia Critic said that he can't enjoy it, because he hates David Spade.
@@orangeslash1667 He hates everything
@@moneylover318 He weirdly likes Tarzan 2 better than Tarzan 1 simply because Rose o Donald isn't in it, and there's not as much Phil Colin songs.
"Kronk needs his own movie" well I got news for you buddy, he has one 😂
childhood memorys❤ I had no idea the movie is actually older than me😅😂
Yzma
Voice actress: The legendary Eartha Kitt
Thanks for the heart Cody
I’ve never seen a reaction of people doing “ Kronks New Groove “ please do a reaction , when you have the chance , love your videos / reactions 👏🏻👏🏻
It's crazy that 24:09 is a huge meme! Back when this movie was first coming out, the waterfall bit was the "big moment" for the trailer they would show all of the time. Amazing how well this movie holds up.
An absolute gem of a Disney film. SO UNDERRATED!
Does anyone else prefer this movie's Happy Birthday Song over the traditional one? Cause seriously, the traditional one's tone sounds like somebody's just died or something.
A lot of people don't know it but there is a sequel where Kronk is a main character
This movie was my childhood.
Like, my entire childhood. From when it came out until I turned 13, and more recently it returned to my radar.
Kronk is quite the himbo. Love the meta humor and out of place cartoonish modernism and antics in this movie.
I actually never caught that lions, tigers, bears, oh my joke till just now
My sister and I LOVE The Emperor’s New Grove!!!! Kronk is our favorite character too. I mean, he’s funny, he’s an awesome chef… I wish he was my cooking teacher so he can teach me how to make his famous spinach puffs. Plus I love that he betrayed Yzma and avenged his spinach puffs.
As for Yzma… my most favorite Yzma quote, “Alright, a quick cup of coffee. THEN TAKE HIM OUT OF TOWN AND FINISH THE JOB!!!” I just love the way she delivered that line!
This movie is such a classic for childhood, the humor is just hilarious when it's right!
Now you gotta do Kronk's New Groove😂
In the Dutch version when describing Yzma they say she looked like a ‘walking old corpse’
Disney's funniest animated movie...ever. I lose it completely in the restaurant scene with the characters running in and out, hiding and Kronk being clueless to the inssniyy🤣🤣🤣
"Spite and coffee!" 🤣
6:08 "What is holding this woman together?"
SPITE AND COFFEE!!
😂😂😂
14:40 “Should we tell him?”
“Nah, he’ll learn soon enough.” xD
The guy who voiced the old man being thrown out was John Fiedler. The original voice of piglet, he would continue to voice piglet until his death in 2005. This was his very last film role.
this is still one of my favorite disney channel movies i watched it when it first aired and when it when on disney plus i rewatched
Probably the most consistently funny Disney movie ever. I wanna know what went on in the writer’s room to produce even HALF of these lines.
Also, that opening song is a BANGER.
This movie is so funny and it came out before I was born!
14:40 There is 😄 it's called "Kronk's new Groove", definitely worth watching 👍
36:41 this is one of the funniest dub in LATAM version. Yzma says "I was deaming with Ricky!" (Ricky Martin). Adn, even when I didn't knew about Ricky Martin, I would laugh until I cried because it's so random that you couldn't stop laughing
In France, she says " I hope you have a good excuse ! "
3:53 It's a little thing called 'absolute monarchy' - meaning that whoever is the ruler can have your head cut off like....well to use a cliche, like that.
Oh yeah, ITS ALL COMIN TOGETHER
One of the most criminally underrated movies out there! Your reactions to Yzma made me laugh! And yes- everyone knows Kronk carries that movie. Apparently he did get his own sequel which had an ‘okay’ response from the audience (personally I’ve never seen it)!Great reaction bud!
Somehow I remember this movie being a meme before the internet even was much of a thing.
That old man who "threw off the Emperor's groove"? Piglet.
Hey Cody at least you didn't get it freaked out at the spider in the movie
Kronk is a legend
Hey! Not ALL cats are demons - you haven't met mine yet, He's amazing!! Everybody loves him.
This is so great to watch. I wore out the VHS for this movie with how much I watched it. I still love this movie to this day.
~sees title~
My brain (in Eartha Kitt's voice) WRONG LEVAH!
FUN FACT isma's voice actress was also one of three cat women in the original Batman TV show The live-action one from the 60s the other two bat women were white with dark hair she was a light-skinned black lady the only other black woman ever to Catwoman is extremely forgettable cuz the movie was bad that would be Halle Berry
Watched this countless times and just noticed the guards at 3:30 are doing an Irish step dance.
Kronk is just the best character ever made!
43:30 oh cmon she is by far the smartest in this movie, bad luck gets in her way though
32:54 “how do you have a steak cut in the shape of a trout?” It’s a lingo for different kinds of orders. One thing I learned in Hospitality is that food orders are never the same and there is always some weird description for something or other 🤷
