It depends. Dunk Sb hype is pretty much dead here in EU. They retail for 139e ish and i can find them for 90-100euros and they last me for two months. If i can't find dunks 440 v2 nb cost 80 to 90 euros.
Nike Chron 2. Same inner sole. Same outer sole. Inner sole lasts for ages and I'm pretty heavy 95kg and also walk in them a lot as well as skating. No bs side stitching on them, and Ollie spot stitching looks a bit higher up than on those one's and doesn't catch as much. Mainly just do Ollie's with the occasional kick flip but hundreds of ollies or close to a thousand per pair of shoes. Never had a stitch come undone with them. Only change them when the outer sole wears out of grip. Great board feel. $100. Been skating them and a similar earlier version called Nike Solars for about 5 years. If you liked the feel of those ones you were reviewing I thoroughly recommend trying the Nike Chron 2's to see how they go for durability for you.
I heard these were super similar to the Chron 2’s! Sounds like all the same benefits with way less negatives so I think I’ll have to check those ones out for sure 👌🏽
I got my first pair of adidas busenitz vulc 2 about 3 years ago, and i never looked back. I tried so many shoes before, mainly vulc shoes, and the busennitz vulc 2 are the best IMO.
Thanks dude! I usually do that one on a bank to ledge so I can get more height but the nollie Fs nose grind was a rare one for me lol You got that for sure!
I know this channel focuses on skateboarding, but I think about getting one of those to go to the gym and go out sometimes. It looks nice to me and seems durable enough to do these things I mentioned, mostly because it has a flat sole and, at the same time, seems comfortable. There are cheaper options like all-star or sb chron 2 but I like the malon visual much more. Shoes like vans or ishods are pretty cool too but I live in Brazil and they very expensive here
I like the look and design of them, but I’m not really a big fan of nike in general. I get whatever looks good on sale usually in the $30-55 range. I’ve spent about $215 total on my last 8 pairs of skate shoes - 3 etnies, 3 vans, 2 dcs. I usually pretreat the stitches with glue and touch up any high wear spots with shoe goo as they become apparent. I really like well-worn shoes, they are the most comfortable and skate the best shortly before they completely disintegrate. So I will trade boardfeel and flexibility out of the box for a more durable shoe with better impact protection. So I tend to prefer stiffer more substantial shoes
Yeah not a lot of people are lol Damn that's so good! I need to do the super glue trick too before I skate a new pair, definitely helped the last shoes I did that on 👌🏼 I'm the opposite, I need something that has a lot of board feel so it's hard to find something like that that also lasts long 🤔
@@LeonPaxton the boardfeel gets better as they wear. i don't really do a lot of flip tricks anymore, so my soles wear out before the uppers. i keep them on life support with scrap bike tire tubes and shoe goo in the soles. right now i'm skating some etnies senix lows, cup soles. very similar to raps or accel og.
@@LeonPaxton i use clear gorilla glue on the stitches, but super glue works too. yeah, i skate shoes until they fall off my feet. or at least until it's just not worth repairing them. they become almost like ballet slippers or rock-climbing shoes. kinda the same idea as breaking in a leather baseball mitt.
@@LeonPaxton if you do a thin layer of shoe goo behind those spots that are peeling it would fix them right up. use something long and thin, like a bamboo skewer.
The SB Ishods are great, very comfy and durable. The toe still hasn’t torn on my switch shoe, as I do switch and nollie a lot more than regular or fakie.
I wear Adidas Busenitz vulcs. It’s what I look for when it comes to shoes. Not many stitched areas in places of contact. If there is a stitched area it’s glued down and there’s rubber underneath. So you will probably stop skating the shoe due to personal preference and not that you blew the sides out and your socks are exposed. Also I typically spend between $60-80 for shoes. I have a pair of Dunks in the Ishod colorway, but because they look sick, he’s a local, and one of the gnarliest skaters in the world. So I’ll always throw my support his products. I believe they were $90 at my local skate shop at the time I bought them too but that was almost 10 years ago
I’ve heard so many good things about those shoes! I might have to try some out for myself 🤔 Yeah dude, definitely worth supporting Ishod then, I met him last year and he’s such a good dude too!

I used to skate Etnies but switched to Nike Ishod 2's recently and gotta say they have lasted and have little to no wear also are breathable and comfy would recommend em
Back in da 90's I got Flo from Duffs shoes sk8'ed some sample shoes that were hands down the best shoe I ever sk8'ed. They were sued with these like bump ups were you normally get Ollie shred on the shoe, jus a Dope shoe. I mean I wore out the soles like holes that's how good of a shoe! Needless to say they unfortunately never made it on the shelf for sale 😢. Wish I remembered the name!!! Great vid!!!❤️🔥👊
