- Leo Bakers New Shoe is one that Came out of nowhere for me, but Im glad I skated it. I gave me a chance to feel something different that ended up being good, but not before I struggled with them.

I knew Leo’s shoe reminded me of another shoe. Honestly, Leo’s shoe is low key a sleeper pro model.
This shoe is underrated, I'm glad people were able to get them on sale
I have a few shoes on ice and started walking on my pair. They feel good and your foot feels locked in. I love ‘em.
The sale hopefully makes it more accessible for people and they get hooked on it so it stays around for a while.
Got mine for $45, best skate shoe I've ever worn.
What helped me putting them in is taking my laces out and putting them back in after my foots in the shoe, they're probably the best fitting and feeling Nike I've ever had

Glad I’m not alone in retiring these quicker than any other shoe. I lost all of my flip tricks as well, and after the third session of having my confidence rocked by landing primo constantly I decided to move on. The toe box is massive-when standing on the ball of my foot I feel unstable and like my foot is slipping inside the shoe. Shoe will be in rotation for fashion since it barely was worn down, but never will be skated again.

Her Chris, I totally agree these shoes are solid but they are wide and long. I have a super wide foot and still have some space in the front. Great review❤

From what you said they seem Overall very similar to the new Ishod Max and I am hating those shoes. I think I ll stick with NB 1010 in the future
Could you try new balance 440 highs next?
In skating these rn and they are pretty nice . I like them super flexible and broken out the box . If you like stiff shoes I wouldn’t recommend these tho . I actually like the insole these come with .

I just got these recently because of their designs but they are so tight to wear probably because I have a wide foot. I hope it breaks in fast after a couple of wears for casual use which is the main reason I got them.
Oh yeah. Most nikes. SB nikes, are pretty slim.

besides them being a pain to get on I love these shoes thy have good board feel and I can wear them all day. I would say the rubber helps tehm last longer but yeah the flip tricks took a bit to get used to but once you get em down they are pretty great.
I will say I do more vert skating so the issues wite=h the flip tricks arent a deal breaker to me

These felt slimmer and shorter compared to my Nike's... I tried down half a size and it was sooooo narrow.

That insole is actually a drop-in midsole, so you’ll feel more impact in your brand. This wasn’t a good shoe to highlight your insoles. Cause it doesn’t have a real midsole.
Hm. What do you mean real midsole? The midsole is a “vulc” so it’s super thin. The insole it came with is that hard react insole. I just drop my insoles in almost all my shoes unless it’s built like a Tiago. lol

Imagine having to unlace a mid top shoe with shoelaces in order to get them on. It's not a slip in or a shoe with a quick lace system.
It's a roomy shoe and the react insole (is super fricken cushy) makes up the entirety of the midsole, did you try stacking your thinner insole on top?
That is my point. I don’t like having to untie my shoes all the way to put them on. I wear the adidas form 84s a lot because they are a MID top and I don’t have to untie my laces.
Insoles is not “cushy” at all for me. Shits thin AF. lol if your skating in them with low impact stuff then yeah it should be chill but if your planning on jumping down anything. Not good. And I don’t put mine on top. I don’t think there would be enough room. But I would try it if I was still skating them
@@christianflores I am not sure what pair of leo bakers you got man but my insoles are pretty fat like the vans cush ones in half cabs and feel great imo

I thought you might have had an oddly improved experience putting your slimmer insole in. I always consider doing the swap but yeah always ends up too much space in the shoe.
@@SKATEBOARDINGEVERYDAY There is enough room to stack an insole on top of the react insole as there isn't really a mid-sole the react insole is 'the shoe'
Yeah it felt weird for a few minutes but I got use to it.

You take the insoles out of almost every shoe which largely makes reviewing them pointless.
Yeah dude. Stock insoles in shoes sucks. lol. Unless it’s a 1010 or a 808. Or another shoe with a fat outsole. The insoles don’t really help. That’s why I made the insoles I use. Spent 2 years making it. Definitely going to use it. And that tells you if you like board feel then you will like the thinner shoes. So yeah . . But you right. Super pointless. Lol
