    Probably the best channel out there for felling and winching trees out. I like that there is no music playing. Just the sound of work. Tractor, limbs snapping. Thanks for all ya do👍

      Thank you for the awesome support!!! My channel has evolved into something that I didn’t know how much I enjoyed doing! Having the opportunity to work in the woods and create things from nature is something unique that I’m grateful for! Hunting and fishing videos will work their way in eventually 😂. Boards are most important for now lol 🙏

    New to your channel, my camp is in central Maine too. Sangerville to be exact. I'm finally going to start milling this year. Been using a 31ft tt with a bump out but want a cabin.

      Thanks for subscribing!! Nice! I love the area! It’s a fun experience building your own place and sawing your own lumber. Still a lot to do, I plan on sawing starting maybe next week once the mud isn’t as bad.

    Them're some good lookin' logs - love that grapple, much nicer than those brush grapples - purpose built!

    • @CentralMaineOutdoorsman
      @CentralMaineOutdoorsman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes.. it absolutely serves its purpose!! Don’t know what I would do without it! For this type of work it is great!!! I think the brush grapple is just to wide for what I use mine for.

      I have an all purpose grapple that gets the job done but your grapple is the cats meow!

    I wish I had your ambition Andy. Finally got my tractor back after 3 1/2 weeks for them to replace a radiator hose and a small hydro line. Just in time for me not to be able to use it.

      Thanks man! Aww man that’s a bummer! Hope it is at least back up and running properly! I know the mud is not a good time for the tractor. Hopefully you can get out early on one of these cold mornings and get some use out of it when the ground is hard. I’m going to try Monday to get some work done as it will be 19deg Monday morning.

    Nice logging set up buddy. Cool video also. Was that cedar ? We don’t have cedar around my area and is usually quite small. Deer are Gona love ya for that food.
    Dave.

    • @CentralMaineOutdoorsman
      @CentralMaineOutdoorsman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Dave! The smaller trees were cedar and the larger tree was White Pine. The deer devoured the cedar in just a few days. Should have set up a game camera on them, but there’s always next time. Andy

    how many hrs. on the Kioti Andy

    • @CentralMaineOutdoorsman
      @CentralMaineOutdoorsman  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m at about 400hrs. Knock on wood this tractor has been great other than seat switch( probably froze from being outside) and I have a slow axle seal leak on the front. I just keep a eye on the level and run it!

    • @cad427
      @cad427 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CentralMaineOutdoorsman my Yanmar has a the same front seal leak I changed one side about a yr ago I'll change the other side this summer when it's a little warmer lol $65.00 for the seal

    • @CentralMaineOutdoorsman
      @CentralMaineOutdoorsman  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cad427 ya, that’s my plan. It’s under warranty but to trailer it to the dealer I think I will just do it myself. Seams like mud/ dirt sits on top of the seal damaging it.

    Has the county or town put any restrictions on using your own timber for building?

    • @CentralMaineOutdoorsman
      @CentralMaineOutdoorsman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, not yet anyway. I built this with my own timber. Only inspection needed was for septic. I believe I would have needed more inspections if I had hired contractors to do the work. (All Towns are different from what I hear)

    way too small of a wedge cut needs to be about 1/2 the tree width
