    You have the coolest stuff. We could use one of those in the woods, but we can only dream. Great for bucking, too.

      Thanks Kenny, I look for equipment to make the job easier and often try things I haven’t seen on other channels etc.

    I love that three-point grapple! Great job with the video Rachel and Heath. Take care and have a nice evening!

    3 point log grapple looks like it would be very useful. Also would be great for skidding logs out of narrow trails where you couldn’t carry them out sideways with a front loader grapple. Thanks for sharing Heath👊🏻🇺🇸

      Thanks Todd, it definitely comes in handy! I’ve slid a lot of logs out with it!

    Pretty cool Heath, got to get one for my Garden Tractor lol, would be good for moving logs around for sure, nice editing Rachel

    That 3ph grapple is a wonder!! I wonder why more YT woodchuckers don't have one! I liked the idea well enough that I built my own. It's not as strong, but opens a little wider for brush piles. I really, really like that thing!!

      I love it! Use it all the time. I need to get better at building my own gear.

    That’s a great tool to hold logs up so you can stand up straight and cut. And it would be handy for other jobs too.
    I need to think up away to hold logs up so I can stand up and cut. Oh my aching back. 🥴
    Lots of wood for Rachel to spilt. 🤭
    And thanks for your message the other day 👍🏻😀

    I like the Ramsplitter for a fact! Another fact is I like the 044. The Prosizer I’m still on the fence about, however.
    When Rachael screamed my heart raced thinking you’d had some mishap. However, it was only a bug 😮
    Great video, great content. Oh, I’d like to see what 100% of that 11% looks like 😂

    • @hardworkingmanoutdoors
      @hardworkingmanoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Mark, oh yeah Rachel is easily startled! The grapple and 044 are great, I really like the pro sized too but it has pros and cons. I think in your situation you’d like it. The cons are it needs to be charged, I sometimes forget between cutting sessions, it is fixed to the saw, so if you buck with multiple saws it’s limited or you need multiple units, it takes a little getting used to. As far as the 11% goes I can’t help you with that lol.

    • @hardworkingmanoutdoors
      @hardworkingmanoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have some other videos on the channel showing me using it up front. I do need to get a heavier duty adapter plate for my tractor though as I’m way over the rated capacity on the one I have.

    That’s a fine piece of logging essential machinery. Great video heath. Really like your 044. They r a bullet proof old saws. What size of bar is on that one ?? And where did you get it ?

    • @hardworkingmanoutdoors
      @hardworkingmanoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, it is a 24” bar and I bought this one off eBay from a place in Australia. So far I do like it and it’s supposed to hold up a lot better than traditional bars. It is more rigid for sure!

    why do you do that little bite after the log falls before moving over to where you are cutting?
    This tool looks great! Id love to get one myself!

      I have the firewood prosizer on the saw, it is a laser that attaches to the handle and you index it the same before every cut to get consistent lengths.

    Do you find the pro sizer to be close to be right on?

    • @hardworkingmanoutdoors
      @hardworkingmanoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Troy, the pro sized is pretty accurate. It takes a little bit of getting used to and it’s not perfect but definitely gets them real close. It’s fast and easy on the fly. But has to be kept charged up and is mounted to a dedicated saw. So pros and cons. But overall I like it.

  • @wshauck9527
    @wshauck9527 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    When you have a 24 inch log left in the grapple with only 12 inches sticking out cut cut off 8 inches and you will have 15 inches left in th grapple.

    • @hardworkingmanoutdoors
      @hardworkingmanoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      That works sometimes too. I’m just always nervous about hitting the grapple if the cut is too close to it.

    • @hardworkingmanoutdoors
      @hardworkingmanoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, unless it’s a big tractor I don’t think they used to have the 3 point lift capability the newer ones do.

    30 ton cat 1.5 ton ensign grapple four stems at a time n we could fill a two cord bed with rings on the truck in 15 mins in the logging gang. One on the 661c n one operating the cat. Knock off time work perks.
