    Nice TH-cam video, I’m going to use these helpful tips when I install these on my charger!

    It’s awesome to see more people doing vids with the awd chargers! Few questions though. Did the springs make the ride harsher? Did you notice a difference in handling? Did installing the springs give the wheels some unexpected camber? Thanks.

      @apprenticeautomotive  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you I appreciate it. The springs did make the ride stiffer, I haven’t rubbed much but you just need to be careful and watch out for big pot holes that you wouldn’t wanna hit anyway. The handling is a lot stiffer on the car which is a good thing and I did get a little camber in the rear which can be fixed with an alignment.

      @@apprenticeautomotive very informative response thanks! Couple more things if you wouldn’t mind. When they do rub, what situations do they usually rub? Also, I’m not aware of any camber adjustment on our cars, front or rear. Are you sure an alignment can take care of it or am I mistaken? Thanks

    do you have any issues hitting the transfer case on the ground being this low with AWD?

    • @apprenticeautomotive
      @apprenticeautomotive  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I never had an issue but it was for sure close to the ground, you just have to be careful on crazy inclines/declines. I believe mine has a piece of frame to help block it

    Love seeing these chargers driven in snow (I’m from Chicago) ... Makes me feel a bit better about the rust lol any rust forming near your wheels at all ?

    Hey man, your R/T is freakin awesome. How did you get the rear bottom led to turn off? A few of mine went out and it looks pretty crappy.

    • @apprenticeautomotive
      @apprenticeautomotive  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you I appreciate it! There is a small plug under the trunk liner on the right side I believe that turns it all off. I’d double check a TH-cam video just to make sure exactly where it is but it was pretty easy.

      Thank you, I got them off eBay but I’m pretty sure the seller doesn’t sell them anymore but you can still find quad tips around the same size.

    Did it add camber in the front when you lowered it

  • @Hybrid14
    @Hybrid14 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So how does it handle in the snow? I’ve got the exact same charger (2014 AWD RT) and I’ve been wanting to lower it because the wheel gap is insanely big but I also don’t want to mess with the cars ability to handle snow considering it’s the whole reason I got the AWD

    • @apprenticeautomotive
      @apprenticeautomotive  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We just got 6 inches of snow today in Michigan and I only struggled a little getting out of my driveway because it was extra deep at the end due to the snow plowing in the sub streets. Other than that it handles itself perfectly fine and I don’t see much of a difference as of yet. Granted I’ve only had the springs on for a couple of days at this point but nothing bad yet in the snow.

    Does the upper control arm bolt rub your tire on the inside? I feel like if I drop that low my tires are going to rub the upper control arm bolt. Lmk. Thanks!

      Mine does not rub any bolts. Also I am not sure which one you are talking about. If you want, DM me a pic on Instagram just to double check.
