Gary has such a huge voice, and surprisingly so does Robin - he had a bit there where he went a bit deeper and I was like holy shit! They all have amazing pipes on them and I wish I could listen to them all, all day, every day.
i think when they first started to get back into doing the voices, a few of them were a bit rusty - you could see that gary hadn't done demo in a long time. but now? they've done it so much recently, it's right back where it was so long ago
I think Demo's voice is a bit more problematic to Gary because is more high pitched and energic compared to Heavy. In fact I read Demo voice lines are edited in game to make them more different to the Heavy ones, which may explain why Gary sound much different in the Sandvich saga videos doing his acting of Demo.
@@karimmoop9560 My dad (pushing 60) knows about TF2; he saw me playing it and eventually asked what the game is so I told him about it and also showed him some of the Meet the Team videos. Now, he doesn't actually play TF2 (he prefers World of Tanks) but every now and then, I see him rewatching one of the Meet the Team vids (he *loves* Meet the Pyro, and burst out laughing the first time he saw it) or checking out some of the other animations such as Expiration Date.
Watching old people try to play video games is so wholesome. It's even better when everyone else is being nice to them. These legends deserve so much for making our lives so much better.
Ellen and John have such as wholesome energy to their relationship, I wish them the best along with the rest of the VA's. I appreciate them all coming together to do this it was great!
You can tell Ellen McLain really enjoyed her lines on Doomsday both because she references them here and her performance on that map was just full of life
While good for him, it is also a shame Nathan was too busy with life to join in with the others, since he has the most experience playing the game itself. He used to stream with VC and troll people as Scout on Twitch.
She's also the Combine Overwatch VA. Truly good work sounding like a clinical, monotonous, and sometimes vague omniscient AI voice that evolves further as each game goes on.
Imagine casually playing TF2 then you hear heavy, medic, sniper and the administrator talking out of line, then you realise your playing with the Voice Actors.
I wish they knew how beloved they are by the entire community they have immortalized themselves by giving life and personality to each character with their talent.. They’re all so wholesome and nice.. I wish them the best.
I think they get the idea considering this video is almost entirely them just hanging out in servers while both sides crowd around because they're excited to meet *the* mercs.
a little note to you, Your voice sounds good to your ears cuz it can hear low frequency well. But to others everybody hears basicaly what the recording gives.
I mean, it's not their real voices. They all put on a different voice for the game. I feel like that does make it feel different from just hearing your regular voice back
I don't know which is more wholesome to see, watching the elderly play a timeless masterpiece, or watching the elderly who voiced said masterpiece play the masterpiece.
i think what was more wholesome was how everyone stopped and let them enjoy their time and even tried giving them pointers, cheering when they did what they wanted and all that, very much what sets tf2 apart from other fps games
i used to have to give grandpa a few drinks and just hope that he did silly voices when he was playing on the computer - this is much higher quality and saves me quite a bit of time 👍
The fact that the people in the game with the voice actors were so chill and weren't worried about kills for the sake of the voice actors' enjoyment goes to show how much respect they got for the voice actors. This is the kind of stuff that makes me proud to be a part of the Team Fortress 2 community!
It's good to see they're all gathered up in one spot and doing well. We're just missing Nathan, Grant Goodeve, and of course, one magnificent SOB who's rocketjumping in the sky.
Meanwhile Grant has been a ghost for such a long time with the VA of Merasmus or the iconic NATHAN DRAKE Voice actor from UNCHARTED has to step in for soldier and engi when the Expiration Date came out. Engineer is impossible to find since he has been off the grind living a peaceful life. Nathan has time but just needs an arranged schedule to match the others (or maybe he doesnt feel like it anymore).
I love how the other VAs try to figure out how to play the game and then Robin sees a gun and instantly starts firing. He really embraced “Ze Healing is not as Revarding as Ze Hurting!”

I'm willing to bet there were players that were huge TF2 fans, that starting fanboying/fangirling when realizing they were playing with the VAs
While good for him, it is also a shame Nathan was too busy with life to join in with the others, since he has the most experience playing the game itself. He used to stream with VC and troll people as Scout on Twitch.

Ellen’s admin voice is super underrated wish she got more love
Tf2 wouldn't be the same without her voice, I think it's iconic
Also, her performance as GlaDOS in the Portal games is one of the best in any video game.

the REAL struggle here is to hear your own recordings repeated at an insane amount of times
a little note to you, Your voice sounds good to your ears cuz it can hear low frequency well. But to others everybody hears basicaly what the recording gives.

i think what was more wholesome was how everyone stopped and let them enjoy their time and even tried giving them pointers, cheering when they did what they wanted and all that, very much what sets tf2 apart from other fps games

The fact that the people in the game with the voice actors were so chill and weren't worried about kills for the sake of the voice actors' enjoyment goes to show how much respect they got for the voice actors. This is the kind of stuff that makes me proud to be a part of the Team Fortress 2 community!

Meanwhile Grant has been a ghost for such a long time with the VA of Merasmus or the iconic NATHAN DRAKE Voice actor from UNCHARTED has to step in for soldier and engi when the Expiration Date came out.
Engineer is impossible to find since he has been off the grind living a peaceful life.
Nathan has time but just needs an arranged schedule to match the others (or maybe he doesnt feel like it anymore).
