I still think that the weapons in SoF were one of the most satisfying weapons to shoot in games. You just felt their power and I think its largely due to the fact that they dont sound 'accurate' to the real guns, but more over the top and booming. All the idle animations also add to the charm, like that little detail when youre holding the Heavy MG, if you jump and land you hear that ammo belt 'ting' sound effect as it bobs on impact.
I wish they remake or remaster it someday and bring it on Steam. It was my favorite game after F.E.A.R. series but its only buyable on GOG unfortunetly.
I wasn't aware that the shotgun was called the B-42 Berserker. I now have name to put to appearance of quite possibly the best video game shotgun, second only to the VK-12 from FEAR.
Finally someone made a high quality weapon showcase for this game. Excellent work If you ever get the opportunity, I'd love to see one for Hidden & Dangerous 2, if possible including the Sabre Squadron expansion pack
I still have a copy of the Platinum Edition of this game. I couldn't get it to install in Windows 10 and no longer have a computer with a DVD drive. I found this on GOG at one time, but not sure its still up.

Fun fact: The gunshot sound of the Silver Talon (the Desert Eagle) is the same explosion sound used in old movies like Platoon.
One of my favourite games. The shotgun, Silver Talon, Sniper Rifle, MAC11 and LMG were my faves.
That shotgun has the Id Seal of Quality:
- Powerful.
- Punchy.
- Badass.
- Makes the player feel like a badass.

Also, the Raptor SMG is based off of the FAMAE Mini-SAF, one in a line of Chilean submachine gun derivations of the SIG 540 series.
