When it seems the country is in turmoil, all doom and gloom, its nice to hear someone remind us of the positives. Thank you for the video! Would be nice to see more!
Not so long ago she could also have said how wonderful it is that pensioners get government support for paying their winter fuel bills. And now...? 🤷♂️ Each 'positive' is gradually being chipped away and removed. There is a bigger agenda going on here. The UK is already but a sad fragment of what it used to be.
I think you are very kind about us Brits. I have cerebral palsy which affects my right side I'm registered Blind. With cerataconis. Don't worry about pronouncing that I struggle to say the dam thing as well😂. Anyway. I can say that their is a lot of groups that you can join over here that will help you. We are very Lucky and I have deaf friends who are a very proud group who don't see not being able to hear as a disability. They have their own community and their own Language
We should be teaching 1st aid to every school kid and we should also be teaching Makaton (British Sign Language) too - I know a bit, just about enough to say hello and help someone/give some information, but not enough + it would be a lot easier if I learned it as a kid, not as a middle-aged man.
Very good video ms. Lisa. Even here, we do have protections for people who are disabled, gender, animals, and other groups. When I visited China, I found that the populace was very materialistic. It didn't bother me since that is Chinese culture or what I have observed. But I am also happy you like the country you are living in with your husband. Still praying for your husband and his medical situation. Be safe, and be happy: Lisa.
Your video was lovely to watch and yes we do love animals probably more than people….. 1827 the cruelty against animals act…… 1833 the abolishment of slavery
This is a nice refreshing look at life here and while it is far from perfect here we do not appreciate what we have. I cannot understand the miserable 'professional complainers' who make their lives depressing and then want to pass it onto others. I am not talking about those who have reasons but those who's don't and want to drag everything down to their level. You don't need to be a grinning fool but make the most of life. On a different note I was surprise when I was able to take a sick hedgehog to the vets and they took it no argument. I had more of an issue when finding a run over cat and taking it to the vets but still they took it.
Hi Lisa. Hope you are well. It’s always interesting when you compare British and Chinese culture. I learn something new each time I watch your videos! We do have our social problems, but it’s nice to know that we are not always as bad as some people make out. It’s brilliant that you have embraced and integrated into our culture, Please keep making these videos!👍👍
Well done Lisa. A bit of positivity is welcome. I hope all is going well at the hospital. At least we know your husband is well fed. All that lovely food you have been making looked great 😊
The UK has some problems but the UK is also very lucky in many respects. I am lucky to be citizen of UK as well as my home country and though I may return home one day, I do feel blessed that I have UK passport as well.
You and my Chinese wife have exactly the same views about most things. She also loves living in the UK and even when she goes back to China her friends don’t understand why she doesn’t want to live in China. I appreciate being born here and even though China is a good place to live as long as you have money and don’t get involved in politics, for the most part the UK is better.
Lisa, very nice presentation. You are clearly intuitive and a caring person. Your husband must be very proud of you. Don't forget to do some cooking videos/ You have a lot to offer to others.

English people will ask these questions, it’s just that you may not realise that they’ve asked you. We’re very good at tip-toeing around the edge of an issue and inferring information.

Our schools have to accept those who have a disability and who wish to experience a normal education. They make changes for these people to access and integrate as much as possible within the state system.

Love your neighbour as you love yourself. Love your enemy. If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other cheek. Put the needs of others above your own. Every human being on this earth is made in the image of God, and as such must be treated with dignity, love and respect. These are Biblical teachings and the commands of Jesus. The more influence the Bible has had on a society/culture, the ... (not sure what word to use) .. maybe the 'better' the society will be, one where human beings can flourish. Sadly that is being lost in the Western world.
Ha! I love your bio (donkey face 🫏). I work a lot with Chinese adults and children and I can confirm that they ask what I would consider private questions. However, it doesn’t bother me as I enjoy chatting and learning about other people’s culture. In fact, I love the curiosity. Welcome to the UK, I hope we treat you with kindness 😊
@faroutgolf3650 considering English is not her first language, she is doing exceptionally well to put forward a point that even the listener can make sense of it. I understood what she meant, and I'm pretty sure many other folk can figure it out, too. In this case, we do not require grammar to be particularly high, just the end result of her message being understood.
as they say "How a society treats its most vulnerable is always the measure of its humanity."
