I love having a top and tilt kit on a 3 point. 😃
My dad would have loved having that quick hitch if they had those back in the 70s when he had his business.

It's definitely nice if you have to switch implements often. Thanks for watching!

@@danimalshouse back then, one person could switch attachments in about 10 minutes.
We also had to Pin backhoe buckets on by hand, what a pain. 😁
      That's another Lost art. 😉
The problem with those quick hitches is that not all attachments are the same width or height on the three-point.
There is supposed to be an SAE standard for that but a lot of companies ignore it. 😟

Great video. I initially thought that you installed the hydraulic top link to provide hydraulic down force for implements that could benefit in their use. Seemingly you installed it for more convenient hookup of rear implements resting on uneven ground.

Yes. That and it's very nice to be able to quickly adjust the tilt of an implement on the fly like when I use the box blade for snow removal. Thanks for watching!

Awesome set up but to avoid leaking from lines turn cylinder around. You want the Chiba’s as the pivot point at the tractor.

I don't understand why it matters as it is exposed to identical tensile/compressive loads no matter which direction it is mounted. The only difference is that the hydraulic hoses have to flex and move more when I move the cylinder. Do you have any reasoning as to why you think the mounting matters? Actually, it won't matter for me because I'll crush my power beyond kit if I turn it around.

Curious if you have a diverter on this setup? I have the same tractor and a backhoe and wondering how you gut the switch installed got the rear top link?

When I ordered the tractor I had it setup with the power beyond kit and additional selective control valves in the back that are controlled by the switch on the joystick. The top link hoses use those fittings.

I was told by AMA that the welded section must be hooked to the tractor side and you never want to be pushing to the tractor, you always want to push away. I have asked them if the chk valve assembly can be reversed and waiting back for a answer.

Curious to learn more about that point. I can't imagine how the cylinder would feel any difference as the push/pull forces would be the same regardless of which location either side of the link was pinned to. In both instances the top link is attached to the same two points. Still curious though. Thanks for watching!

I have been instructed by hydraulic manufacturers to mount the rod end to the implement and it is no problem to switch the locking block around.

@@danimalshouse the push/pull forces are different with the same hydraulic pressure. The force the cylinder can exert in a given direction is proportional to the surface area that the fluid can act on. When extending, the fluid acts on the entire surface area of the piston, but in the other direction, the surface area is reduced by the rod being in the way. There are various online cylinder force calculators you can use to check. It may not matter in a top link depending on the weight of the implements, but for example you swapped the direction of the loader cylinders, the lift capacity would go down.

Where did you get this? Do you have a part number?

This top link was ordered from agristoreusa and the item description is Category 1 Hydraulic Top Link 20 7/8" - 31 7/8"
The hydraulics can be ordered in a kit from agristoreusa but I had them custom built at a local hydraulics shop that I trust.

You’re cylinder is on wrong. The welded end should always be at the hard mount point aka at the tractor. Otherwise ok video.

I'm not disputing your recommendation but in my case if I turned it around and lift the arms all the way up I'd hit the power beyond box that is there for the backhoe.

@@danimalshouse ya you would need to turn around the hard pipe on top of the cylinder, to fix that problem I think from what seem on other pages.
