The most important is what we heard is from our own speaker. How can we decide which one is better than others just depending on the sound from our personal one???
Harberth M20.1 are playing the most natural, AE reference 1 playing a little bit compressed and Aurum and Helicons are trying to colored everything up. I choose Harbeth :)
I sure wished they would have played some human voice and some orchestra for a complete comparison...but they did all sound really good....I believe the AE barely edged out the Harbeth, but a human voice might have 'told' a different story.
Most demanding and thus quality indicator instrument is the piano. Harbeth is the clear winner here, followed by Dali, Quadral and AE, in that order. The latter is a disappointing surprise for me as I remember the 1st. generation 1 Reference which was not only better than the one here, but if memory serves me right, would have been the overall winner here.

I choose Acoustic Energy ... bass goes lower and reproduced room acoustic very well . also sounds powerful if it plays rock etc

Harbeth 1 are the most neutral and the winner on this track. AE 1 are probably going to be better on more genres of music as low end better.

Not a fair test. With this kind of unpretentious jazz the Harbeth's will always win. What can they do with other types of music? That's the question

On my phone the Harbeths sounded most musical though the AE Reference 1 demonstrated the most controlled low end and sounded the least tinny of the 4.
