The comparison would have been fairer by comparing two models equipped with woofers of the same dimensions and at the same bass/reflex load! We have a front bass reflex on the Harbeth, and a rear bass reflex for the Quadral, with a rear wall far away and bass trap at the corners of the walls! So it's not surprising that the Quadral have much less sub bass and a tighter bass, which tends to have a slightly more forward mid-treble! The Harbeth are more carnal, more enveloping, warmer timbres and thus a listening that will seem much more comfortable and pleasant on long listening sessions, the Quadral would deserve a better implementation to offer the best of themselves, in any case, they are not ridiculous, especially since the price is not comparable to the Harbeth which is 75% more expensive!

Altough the ribbon tweeter sounds amazing. The Quadral sounds too clean. Too bright without concrete mids. I prefer the Harbeth.

Quadral gives nice presentation of the performance, Harbet gives nice presentation of the instruments
M30.1 spreads more thru space and separates more the details.

Harbeth sounds more organic the other leaner
Forget about which had more bass, mid-range or treble, the Harbeths are more 'articulate' because the music made more sense when they were playing.

The Aurum Galans sound scratchy, tinny by comparison with the Harbeth M30.1.

Quadral's got my ears! more open midrange sound on the first recording not so much on the second.
