4:38 Ah yes, Dante doesn't remember anything of Devil May Cry 3, like the dramatic ending where he lost Vergil. But he sure remembers their glorious fight for chocolate.
To be fair, Kamiya probably didn't have the Itsuno-directed games in mind when making this.

In a more tragic interpretation, it could also mean that Dante wants to remember Vergil as his kindhearted but competitive brother instead of the sadistic murderer he became.
Vergil caused Dante a lot of pain and killed some very important people close to him at this point, but he's still family.
So Dante just focuses on the good memories to move forward, instead of letting the bad ones drag him down😢.

@remiland1645 Originally in a DMC prequel novel, Vergil killed Nico's grandmother, Nell, the gunsmith who made Dante's handguns and who he was a close friend with.
But recently, Capcom decided Vergil acted far too cruel and out-of-character in that story, so they retconed it to be an imperfect Vergil clone made by Mundus.
But in Dante's eyes, he still saw his brother kill a lifelong friend, so the trauma and emotional cope still counts.

In the actual story dmc 3 is first as vergil loses to dante and then loses to mundus which later goes to dmc 1 where mundus turns him into nelo Angelo as it's mention as well after beating nelo for the last time by mundus to Trish that vergil/Nelo Angelo is defeated

Beating this boss hits differently when you beat it on DMD
I think i died around 50-60 times before beating him on DMD first time lmao

I hope that when this game gets a remake this scene will be made even better. Vergil struggling to speak and making some more iconic moves. And showing a corrupted devil trigger mode

Good too see you are playing Devil May Cry 1. I've played and finished this game on the PS2. Vergil was and is a still awesome character. I liked seeing Vergil in Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Ultimate.

Can you imagine dmc collection gets a full Capcom remake. My god, that would be insane. Dmc1 needs an uplift big time it deserves it. Dmc2 is just not that good, so they can make good on it and make it an actually great game. And goodness dmc3 is just absolutely phenomenal it would be like the re4 to re4 remake. Just improve upon what could be done in those times and make it even more legendary.
A remake of this game I would sleep softly
Imagine if in the remake Nelo Angelo can switch out of his Nelo Angelo form and fight you as corrupted Vergil with him constantly switching between the two forms to alternate his moveset

You know I actually didnt remember them name dropping Vergil in DMC1, granted I played it as a small child back in the day. I couldve sworn it was confirmed later down the line.
I wish in the remake the would have added an extra line or something that addresses at least something from dmc 3. Dmc 3 was almost a soft reboot of the series. Then again dmc was originally a resident evil sequel so all things considered at least this interaction doesn’t break the canon.

@@IVERISS it’s a little difficult to figure out but once you do you can continuously chain attacks to the point where vergil can’t even do anything it’s really fun when you know how to do it
@@IVERISS Im an old player of this game. I have a combo with ifrit... You just need to attack him normally until he blocks, then you just need to charge a full punch and wait for it to release (you need to time it ASAP) If you do it well this will penetrate his defense and he will become vulnerable, then you can go devil trigger and perform a 13 kick... Afterwards you can FULLY charge a meteor and throw it at his face. He will spend most of his time trying to block it, but the good thing is that Ifrit´s meteors are actually UNBLOCKABLE, so if you have super Dante unlocked you can literally spam little meteors and beat him easily. He wont be able to defend himself.
The meteor is literally the strongest attack in your arsenal and its the BEST attack to use against Nelo Angelo.
I do not recommend using the Inferno attack against him on DMD as it will only deal slight damage and spend most of your DT quickly, but if you wish to finish the fight with it, it serves as a good finisher. Just jump behind him and do it, he cant block the attacks if they come from behind.
DMC 1 in DMD mode was Dark Souls before Dark Souls, hard af.
This game deserves a remake. You hear me, Capcom? Resident Evil fans got enough remakes already! Give the DMC enjoyers some love too! 😭

Dante Must die Mode Is what I was playing on. It's the hardest mode for the franchise and In te 1st game Bosses deal 5x more damage then normal so usually it will take the 3-4 hits to kill you. Some bosses have certain moves that can kill u in just 2 moves like mundus and nightmare 3

Dmc1 has aged very poorly and that boss fight was jank and bad
Also Dante’s design in dmc1 is my favourite. Kinda wish dmc3’s had that same level of black with a red coat. Dmc3’s design is still good tho.
@@zzodysseuszz DMC3 has multiple costumes post game, and one of them is the DMC1 dante costume. It even changes Rebellion to Force Edge.
