Mad respect for the work that goes into this . I wouldn’t be able to cut out a smooth shape to save my life 😂😂 I’m definitely going to buy one soon , they look amazing
You would legit see me diving into snags after my baits having put this kind of love and detail into them. Great video and love the purity of what you do! 🙏
Makes me really think paying $10 for lures isn’t so bad considering the effort. You really know what you’re doing that was badass! It even has the wobble action. Id love to try doing that some day.
I would go and buy the shop equipment, take the few hours to learn this and get one done. Paint it, assemble it, tie it on to a rod, and cast it into a tree my first cast. That’s what keeps me away
Hey man have you ever thought of linking some of the products you use in the description? It would be nice for some of us ppl that may want to try to make our own lure molds and lures?
@@TreysArt Lol I understand. If you are still interested in investing you may want to look into the Bogleheads, and investing in low cost index funds. I think you would be happier with the results in the long run. Thanks for the reply and the video🙏.
I feel that sealing the wooden lure with light sanding between coats, before painting will create a much stronger finish. Different type of sealers have many different effects on woods . Liked the video, Good work keep them coming. Did you mix any 4030 or 4050 with your createx paint? Because those additives creates better adhesion.
@@TreysArt Without adding 4030 0r 4050 the paint really has no bonding strength.....no matter what finish you use on top. Superglue is not a good way to seal wooden lures .
Good question. In my experience the angle and size matter more than the shape and those 2 things could matter quite a bit. Also take your line tie position into consideration.
Excellent instruction. No need for noise...music or speech. Just great. Thank you.
🙏

Thank you I appreciate that
You did a real nice job on the lure in the video . Looks easier than I thought except the painting part
Thank you

Thank you. And yes I have went out on a few limbs after certain baits lol
Awesome job this was fun to watch! Makes me wanna give it a try.
Do it man lol

I think that’s what happens to all lure makers lol. For some reason we keep doing it though 😂
😂😂 I bought a whopper plopper and used it for maybe an hour before losing it in a tree
You made a great crank bait. Nice action on it.
Nice looking lure! Great job! 🙂
Thank you. 🙏
That crank bait will catch a bass.
Great work as usual, pity about the rock damage but at least it's fixable.
Yeah I say it gives it character lol
Great looking bait, Trey! 🙂👍
Thank man
Instant replay 😄👍 I do that alot 🤷 those lips come out looking great 👍
You should make a video of your lure making setup
It’s not much lol all my stuff is kinda all over the place.
Beautiful bait so is that the most poplar wood for baits 😂
Lol I don’t think so
What type of epoxy resin should I get that is waterproof?
Great job! I want one!
Hey man have you ever thought of linking some of the products you use in the description? It would be nice for some of us ppl that may want to try to make our own lure molds and lures?
I believe I can do that. Let me get a list together and get all the links and I’ll update the description.
@@TreysArt I second that, would like to know where you get your materials, hooks, wire etc. also.
Very nice job sir! I'm curious about the tattoo on your thumb. Is it trading candles? I'm a bit of an investing nerd and it caught my eye.
Yes lol I had a bit of a day trading kick for a while years ago. Didn’t end well so now I make lures lmao

Thanks for the advice bro 😎
What are you using for the bird shot filler? (White substance)
Baking soda
what drill do you use for the eye sockets?
It’s called a forstner bit
What size eyes would you recommend?
1/4 in or 6mm is about the standard but if you like a little bit bigger size like I do I’d go with 8mm which I think is 5/16
@@TreysArt Thanks!

No I just used some 4012 to thin it a bit.

Works well enough for me.
@@TreysArt Right ,,,, of course
Cool
How much lead did you add?
I can’t remember exactly but probably about 2 grams
I’m sorry but when I went to go put the wire in my drill I noticed it didn’t fit, any other tools I could use?
You could try a pair of vice grips or something similar. Clamp them onto the end and twist
Does the bill shape and angle matter?
Good question. In my experience the angle and size matter more than the shape and those 2 things could matter quite a bit. Also take your line tie position into consideration.
@@TreysArt is there a specific angle that is your go to?
I normally shoot for around 45 degree. I think that’s probably the best starting point.
Heey! Where can i find the templates? If that is possible?? J from sweden ☺️
I don’t have a template for this one. I just used a picture from google
what is the netto time you need to create one?
I’m sorry but I don’t understand your question
I can’t find any wire near me is there like a place I can find it
Best bet is going to be to buy some on Amazon
how much did the lure weigh?
That’s a good question but I honestly can’t remember
Can you link the crankbait photo
hello, can u attech the temlate for it?
Sorry but I don’t have to file anymore
👍👍👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
What gauge is your wire?
I believe it’s .41 mm
Salt or sugar?
Pepsi or coke?
These are tough questions
Hi
😂give us ideas of the size in mm
Like around 63.5mm
