Thank you for this video Damian, I've had to replace my thermostat after the engine just wasn't warming up, even a long run. I used my obd reader and got 2 codes P0116 & p0125. Your video was invaluable in attempting the job myself and it worked a treat, my temp gauge now sits in the middle quite happily. One thing I did was to use a polythene bag to capture the coolant which prevents anying spilling onto the electrics and also means I was able to capture all the coolant for putting back into the system.
It's a tip a plumber gave me when draining a low level radiator. 😁

Andy, plastic bag is a TOP TIP, nice idea especially with the electrics. Thanks for the comment regards Damian

Hey mate great video, is there anything you have to do different on the XKR x100 4.0? Im attempting it tomorrow, thanks

Ben, Thank you, it is basically similar but the pipework you need to remove is different. You can find the Jaguar instruction how to do it in the workshop manual. You can find these on our website www.modurol.co.uk . Hope that helps and good luck 👍, regards Damian

Once again, the 4.2L XK8s are totally different. These days I would go with flushing the coolant system completely and using PEAK Global Lifetime coolant.

Not lucky enough to have a 4.2L, thanks again for another great comment, Damian

Is loose coolant the same as loose bowels?

Tol, not really but the result is the same, pretty catastrophic, need lots of tissues and new underwear. Thanks for the comment regards Damian
