  • Achieve smooth jump biomechanics and gradual joint warm-up as part of your pain and injury management strategy. This type of warm-up is indispensable for a more successful jump session. Fewer reps, pops, falls, and wraps are your joyful benefits. Train intrepidly! Reinforce the foundation. What diverse sports share is paramount for each. Take breath, for example. Don't you struggle to iron out random motion if your breath is not smooth and relaxed?

Thank you for sharing so much wisdom, experience and the joy of skating both in your amazing performances and now lesson videos. I was thinking that jump warm up should be along lobes. So was happy to see the skip and bunny hop done lime this! Also loved the axel videos where you introduce the mohawk pattern deep back edge and front edge creating a jump rotation that is not forced. Amazing!
I am an adult skater and dancer that was pulled into skating by my daughter taking lessons and keeping her on the ice to play and practice a bit. When I discovered eventually that Ice Theater of New York was at the rink and loved the idea of it pushing the boundaries of ice choreography by including a broad range of influences and also great skaters and competitors who influenced the sport. When I first talked to Moira about the company she told me to look at your performances and piece in the company rep Malevolent Landscape you are an inspiration. Thank you!

And thank you, Fred, for sharing your thoughts and praise. Anfractuous tracings are awesome, aren't they? For timid beginners, they are only for inspiration. Straight line training is useful sometimes. Just like putting on a perfectly flat green, where there is no break to misread. Stance and action give success or the opposite. Here's to hoping for loby hopping!
