    The Iron Butt Rally is an 11 day scavenger hunt across North America. Riders generally average over 1,000 miles/day. They know comfortable seats.
    I was at the last 2 rallies and despite lots of different choices in bikes, nearly all of them had RDL seats. That was all the endorsement I could ask for. My bike now has one too. I’ve got 10,000 miles with it so far and no previous seat I’ve tried is in the same league.
    The rain cover is extra but not expensive.

    Great review - thank you. I just bought my third wing and am considering the RDL seat. I had Corbin before and it was ok but hard and it took 3 tries to get the seat right. RDL concerns me because my bike is in use year around. 2-3 weeks without my bike might throw me into withdrawals!
    Again - great review & thank you.

    Received and installed my Russell Day Long seat yesterday. Unbelievably better. If you’re on the fence on how to replace your stock Goldwing saddle, watch Craig’s video and take our word for it - it’s the very best. You won’t be sorry you did.

    I added an RDL to my BMK K16GT. Huge improvement. Worth every penny. I have had my arse get sore on the RDL but it takes 3-4 times longer for that to be the case compared to the stock BMW seat.

    Nice review. I also have a RDL on my 2018 Gold Wing...all the hype you read about RDL is true..its the most comfortable seat I've ever ridden on. I have done 12 hour days in the saddle and didn't have to stand to relieve any pressure points..the RDL is roomy and comfortable..if your goal is all day comfort, its well worth the effort and money to get a RDL seat.

    Enjoy your you tube channel. My friend and I are taking a trip out west next month. He has a Kawasaki Concourse and he has an RDL on order for it. He’s hoping it ships in time, it’s going to be close. I still have the stock seat on my 2016 F6B. He lives in Charlotte, NC, I live in Fall River, Mass. I’ve been south twice already, Maggie Valley, so this will be the third trip, first time out west…SD, WY. I like your content, I’m glad to be a subscriber. Thanks.

    I have a 2019 Tour Goldwing and needed a new seat bad! Originally I went with the Ultimate seat since I have one on my Harley and really like it. When the Ultimate arrived and I mounted it I noticed that it had very little heat even on the highest setting, so I sent it back for a full refund, no questions asked.
    I knew the next option would be an RDL so I made an appointment to ride in, coming from Boise Idaho. The trip down was painful but well worth it. They were very attentive to every detail in the seat, backrest and passenger backrest. The trip home I didn’t even think much about it, pain was gone and comfort was superior.
    I got full leather and it really looks and feels good. They do great work.

    @ostbob4108 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I tried the wingsoft, then the Ultimate but finally got the RDL which I'd had on two other bikes and loved. Decided to try the others but still came back to RDL.
    On the rain cover I wrote the words "FRONT" on the outside in front of the backrest part so it would be easier to figure how which way was which.

      You don’t HAVE to cover it. Really, you should try to avoid letting water pool on the seat and stay long enough to soak into the foam. At work I don’t bother with it but at hotels overnight or camping I use it if rain is expected.

    Hello 👋 from Harrisburg Pennsylvania 🇺🇸 I’m thinking about buying a GW -DCT whenever my local Honda Dealer get stock in 🤞 fingers cross lol 😂 anyway I noticed You have a Can Qm Spyder as well I have a 2016 RT LIMITED and l love 💗 riding my Can Am Spyder all seasons my QUESTION 🙋🏾‍♂️ is your opinion how comfortable is your Can-Am Spyder compared to your Honda Goldwing ? ? I’ve owned 2 Can Am Spyders and I really Love 💗 3wheels motorcycles 🛵🏍I would think the Can Am spyder reverse would be Much better than a Goldwing but again I’ve never been on or owned a GW also I love not worrying about my passenger when riding 2up lol 😂 also not having to put your legs 🦵 down at 🛑 stop signs or traffic lights 🚦

    • @craighanesworth262
      @craighanesworth262  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As you know the Spyder is very comfortable. However, I would say the Goldwing gives you a smoother ride. The only caveat I would add is that the Goldwing gives you a more comfortable ride IF you have the right seat. Hopes this helps. Thanks for watching

  • @jrockett11

    Is it worth it.......Well if you like to ride long distances this is the seat for you. I have an 2002 Honda Silverwing and if anyone knows anything about those seats you know your lucky to stand 15 min. on it before you have to go to the emergency room to have your ass rebuilt. I got mine shortly after I bought the bike and let me tell you there is nothing to compare to it for comfort and time spent riding. What I like about it most is you can hop on it at the start of the season and ride all day with out any butt munch there's no pre season conditioning like you have with other bike seats. Like Craig said it isn't cheep but it's like they say buy it once and enjoy your rides no matter how long or shot they may be. Hope this helps you make a decision.

    • @craighanesworth262
      @craighanesworth262  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      George. The farthest I traveled on the stock seat was 300 miles. However, I would start feeling uncomfortable after about 70 miles. The farthest I have ridden on a RDL is 700 miles. Never felt uncomfortable. Both trips I would stop every 100 miles to stretch

    I am thinking of doing this… where in the world do you find a box big enough to fit that seat in? How does it affect your reach to the bars? Plus I hear you have to kind of “hop out” of that cove to put your feet down at a stop is that true??

    • @craighanesworth262
      @craighanesworth262  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as the box. Go to a U-Haul store and get a Layflat Garment Box. It is the perfect size to fit the seat AND it is the perfect dimension that will allow you to mail it via USPS. USPS is cheaper than FedEx and UPS. It moved me back about 1 inch. However, you can let them know that you would like to keep the stock seating position if you like. I am 6'1 and can put my feet down normally. Thanks for watching. Ride safe!

    I am on the cusp of trading in my 2021 tour.
    If I buy a seat I will never buy another Honda.
    To add insult to injury they sell you a seat that feels like your sitting on plywood, then they offer an upgrade that isn't any better.
    The machine is great so far, we will see how it all holds up. They probably cheaped out in places we won't know for some time.
    I am so upset over this seat I will not buy another Honda.
