What I've learned from watching these videos: 1. Hours of prep for minutes of painting. 2. Auto body work takes patience. 3. I'm not cut out for auto body work
Painting in your home isn't drastically different. Take your time with the prep and the paint practically puts itself on the walls
It takes a special kind of person to be an auto paint professional. So while my momma says I’m special, I’m definitely not THAT special! Much respect!
Can I get an amen!!⛪️⛪️. Don’t forget the shear amount of tools and experience you need to own just to accomplish a fraction of what a shop can do 🤯

The inside of that hood is just perfect
The underside of the hood was an awesome touch. It looks absolutely amazing. You guys do such an incredible job and the attention to detail is ridiculous.
And your work on the banana shows why quality craftsmanship is worth every penny

Totally impressed with the intense work done by Robby & Crew! The last time I saw this effort put in was a friend who restored Ferrari’s, Maserati’s, etc. Never saw anyone else work so hard and so well to produce a perfect product.
And now the Nugget! Can’t wait to see the finished product and the look on Ed’s face! Awesome job on the Banana, thanks for sharing!

@@Shortydude847 It has sat for about a month off and on between fab rats and robby's I understand it take time, and my statement means it would be a shame if Ed never got to see it done. People die everyday even younger than you.

fantastic work on the Banana I was more enthused than MATT was . come on Matt show a little enthusiasm . They worked awfully hard on the jeep to get it looking this good. I wish mine looked half this good.
Great work guys. I love Matt's re action when he's over whelmed he becomes quite reserved. He makes up for his reservation by things like having every one sign under the special hood. On top of overwhelmed, he knows that this beautiful fresh, still soft, paint job is going straight to work. It's getting scratched and bashed and he knows it.
I don't know which was funnier, the custom door handles, the decals, or underside of the hood. I died when Matt was really checking out the handles and didn't mention the quality of the work! I could see that sleep deprivation could addle one's brain functions, but really? Could someone get him some stolen Dew??? Have to love following Matt's exact instructions for painting the underside of the hood. I bet he didn't see that one coming. Good job on a great prank! And he has more to find doesn't he??? Ha ha! Nailed it!

Now that I've seen the finished product, I must agree on the yellow door handles. The black ones didn't look right.

I always enjoyed working for my Buds. Nobody in our racing group have extra monies to pour in our builds. So we trade work back and forth and it works out pretty well. Nice job Robby and Crew, you deserve a round of applause.

Looks like the Banana's alignment is 'Slipping'! The inside of the front tires is wearing badly. And just for what it is worth, (nothing lol), I like the black door handles. I think they look good And they will not show dirt when grubby hands grab them down the road. But that's just me. :D And finally a signed piece of art! Everyone: It's SO clean! Matt: Let's go get it dirty! Me: YEA!

I’m all out of sorts.. I’ve been runnin’ jeeps, for 10+ yrs. I’d already told Robby, that he’s a healer. You takin’ on that project, is admirable. The common purpose is off the chart. This is therapeutic, for me🤔

Yes, the enthusiasm and excitement from Matt did seem a bit disingenuous at seeing the new Banana. That is why an auto-repair shop prepares a ‘blueprint’ for the repairs. I asked Robby about one in an earlier Comment. The customer, insurance company and the repair company collectively bind themselves to this blueprinted repair path. Did Robby meet, exceed or fail to meet Matt’s expectations? I suspect Robby was given Carte Blanche with just a few instructions. Robby, as an artist, did HIS BEST, and Matt should appreciate that
@canyonrunner he said he'd barely slept in a couple days and was super tired. I'm sure he was genuinely appreciative, but it takes a lot of effort to display that on camera when you're exhausted.

You guys are such a bunch of fun loving professionals! Amazing how dedicated you are to all your projects, customers and recovery/rescues. If I lived a lil closer, would most definitely take my business to you guys.

Respirators are very important. My brother had been in collision repair for 13 years. Now has heart problems and floaters in his eye for not wearing the proper safety gear. Love the channel and amazing work!

I watch a video back a ways where Dinner was taking apart the front of a truck. I should have commented because I was amazed at the work and knowledge it takes to take apart and then to put back together. Dinner your the man.
Finally an auto body paint wrench turning TH-cam channel that I actually like to watch!
I restore stuff. I do my own paint and body work, which is always a fun uphill learning process. The amount of tips and tricks I pick up here are awesome! Of course I can't buy all the tools but it's good to learn and I really appreciate you explaining some of the technical details.
Plus Hillbilly and Dinner are hard working, knowledgeable, and most importantly absolutely hilarious! Probably not so much. 😅

I am amazed at how much you guys know how to do, in order to paint and do body work you basically have to know how to completely take apart and reassemble a vehicle, and you all do it with ease.
