It makes me so happy to see young ones appreciating country music at its finest. KW had a one of a kind voice and definitely left us way too soon. If you can, please react to Vince Gill "Go Rest High on that Mountain". He started writing it for his good friend, KW, when he passed away and then finished it when his brother passed. Sadly, I lost my 24 year old son in 2017 and played that song at his funeral. My son was not into country at all, but he did like Keith Whitley. I miss KW'S songs and my sweet, beautiful Austin. 💔

I sang this song to an old bf back in ‘04. He was a DJ and he was working on a commercial edit. When he was done, he asked if I wanted to hear a song before we left and I told him this one. I sat on his lap and sang this and he actually cried. This became our song, although he had to relocate for work and long distance didn’t work. Still friends though. 😊

Sceez, you're wonderful. I came for the Rush reactions, I stayed for the Keith Whitley reactions. I've been a fan for 35 years, I've been to his hometown 4X's, I've met a lot of his family, made many friends through his music. The greatest voice ever in the history of country music. That Harley you see parked behind him is his ride that was entrusted to his son upon his 21st birthday. He donated it to the Country Music Hall of Fame where it (and its original owner) are now both enshrined. You really need to hear Keith's "Dance With Me, Molly." It might be too sad for you, tho. ❤
