Can do guys, but if you compare the times between our M12 video and this one you will see the Dewalt is faster. BUTm the DEWALT has to rest for 20 minutes after 10 minutes of use where the Milwaukee has to rest 10 minutes after 10 minute of use.
Excellent review. Just a note that the manual states that the 10 minute max runtime followed by a 20 minute rest period applies only when the PSI of the item being inflated is greater than 100.
Either way... These little compressors build heat very quick and don't have a good way to dissipate that heat due to the compact size. Heat kills. It's always best to give it a break to cool as much as possible.
I use this thing and it is AWSOME. I take care of some X-Ray vans that are on Ram ProMaster chassis. I pack it in a suitcase without the lithium batteries. I carry those in my carry on luggage. The tires need 65 on front and 80 psi on the rear. This is better than some plug in small volume compressors. It is essential for my work. A++
My current 2020 version has a clip for the plastic piece of the right side for high volume pumping that was dangling in the review video. Bought the inflator at Home Depot for $99 tool only without battery. So far very happy with the quality. I love the auto shutoff. As a dewalt 20v tool owner I have spare batteries to use for this tool. It does have DC cord. They do offer an ac adapter as a separate option but I don’t see the need.
Mine too. I bet @WorkshopAddict's does too, but I'm glad I saw this review, as I might have taken it off and not realized the clip was there to put it back. It's on the bottom of the right side, if anyone is looking for it.

Hey Brian there is a clip on the bottom of the unit for the hose you used to Inflate the basketball, so you don't need to remove it. Just wanted to let you know.
6:22 This is the best point to be made. I think my original tires wore down faster since the PSI's weren't more closely maintained the first 2 years. My next set of tires will have the correct PSI year-round with this convenient tool.
If you are in a pinch, you CAN run this nonstop for longer at your own risk. I ran this for 2 hours and 9 minutes nonstop in my torture test video on my channel. Still works, just ran out of battery (15 AH)
On the newer units (mine is a 2023 model) there is a clip style holder for the adaptor on the high volume hose on the underside of the unit, so it no longer sticks out!
Some Safety Tips Ensure your air compressor is only used with outlets that have the proper grounding. If you plug an air compressor into an incorrectly grounded outlet, it could damage the machine’s electrical circuitry and even cause a fire. When using either type of portable compressor it is a good idea to keep the vehicle running. This will keep the battery from discharging and provide a more consistent 13.5 volts DC to the compressor’s motor. 10A current draw for 10minutes - what does that do to your cars wiring?
Just picked one of these up. In the latest model, the accessory piece you talk about clips underneath. There's a little yellow connector it fits right into and stays out of the way.

My concern is if the module ever fails there are no replacement parts listings for these units. This system should have some kind heat protection setup. Or they should have built it like a regular compressor but compact and same size. I also agree that they should have made the dial a bit more robust rather than all the sloppy play in it. Other than that it works amazing. Only time will tell how long these units will last through constant use.
I didn’t read through every comment so this may have been pointed out but the end cap for the raft/pool inflation hose has a clip it fits into on the bottom of the unit under where the hose stows onto the unit.

Dewalt should incorporate this into their 1800 watt power station/charger system best of both worlds, you have portable power and a compressor at hand.
Thanks for the video. Good job! I wanted to point out on the high volume hose with the piece that is in the way, if you turn it upside down you will see it has a place to click it in. I thought why is that in the way. After looking and trying to figure it out, I found the area it clicks in. Too funny. Check it out. You don't have to take the hose off. Thanks
Great and informative video once again thank you! Just picked this up at HD today. $99 w/ a 1.5AH free battery! I was wondering why they included such a small battery. Now I know why! No biggie. This, along with my Milwaukee inflator takes care of all of my maintenance needs!
My biggest problem with this is that it's HUGE. I would want to keep it in my car and even though I'm a Dewalt fan, I would buy the Milwaukee inflator because of the small size.
The Milwaukee only runs on batteries. If you need it on a road emergency and you don't have a charged battery the M12 is useless. I like the small size too but the DeWalt offers peace of mind. Its going to sit in the trunk so I'm not too bothered by the size.
Just got it,now ordering battery, I don't want deal with cigarette lighter cord.great for slow leaks that might happen so car is still temporarily roadworthy
Disappointing that the AC ability is optional. l have to buy more stuff in order for it to be a true three-way inflation tool. Also, how do you charge the battery?
About that tube you tossed aside: You wound it around BACKWARDS and it DOES have a place for the nozzle to clamp UNDERNEATH the place you unwound it from keeping it in place.
Would you say this is good for dusting off your clothing? Want something powerful enough to eliminate all the dust buildup from the day on the job site.
Thank you for the detailed review. Pleas help. My question: does an attachment need to be fitted on the high pressure hose (# 10 tire hose) to inflate car tires? I have a Volvo V70 2001, the 12V DC Vehicle connector won't fit (too large) and the DeWalt (no air) to inflate the tire, however, I get air when the the High Volume Hose (mattress etc., don't need) is selected with a 20-Volt MAX Lithium- Ion Battery 3.0ah attached. The light works and the start button is very flimsy. Thank you.
Quick question...if you plug this unit into the wall (120V) and then plug in a battery, will it charge the battery? Thanks for the video, great information!!
In the manual for my unit it mentions that the 10 minute time limit of use applies only when you are working with pressures above 100 PSI. Am I missing something?
@@WorkshopAddict I just bought one and the manual does say "if the pressure rating for the item being inflated exceeds 100 psi, note that run time is 10 minutes". I inflated my truck tire from 15 psi to 65 psi in 17 minutes nonstop and did not note and excessive heating.
I a dewalt fan 4 years I love it I get a lot dewalt tool but I think this inflator is little bigger to carry the Milwaukee m12 has same power and less small size
Solution to your air hose tip just hanging in the back. Yes it can easily be ripped off that way. I clamp mine into slot under the inflator and the hose goes into the next slot. Can’t post a pic or I’d show ya.
Thanks to your observation & comment, DeWalt did some changes to the new models 👍 DeWalt has added a clip to the bottom of the large hose to hold the additional adapter attached to the end of the large hose that wraps around the end. I bought this unit because I like the auto-shutoff when tire pressure has been achieved; I've been using Slime infiltrators to fill our cars tires, if necessary on a monthly basis. But the Slime pressure gauge is off and I have to make a guesstimate. It is frustrating when I over inflate when checking with a tire pressure gauge and have to deflate and then go under the recommended pressure and have to re-inflate. I don't think the 10 minute run/20 minute rest will be a limitation. But, is the DeWalt Flexvolt 60V air compressor suitable for tire inflation and does it have auto shutoff? Or is the 60V overkill?

Ryan Jewell No, this is only for pool type tools. It is a blower, inflator and deflator. www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/Power-Tools/Vacuums-and-Fans/Compact-Blowers/0884-20
Man, I didn't even think of that! You are right, I can use my little blower as a volume inflator. Ok. My M12 inflator stays home, no need for Dewalt :-)
Wow I got burned 😅 you guys must be in the states. I just paid 180$ for mine. With no battery. I got 2 , 1.5 amp hour batteries already with my drill. Tho. I do like mine. They're could be a few changes. Door on both sides would be nice. And the battery thing is silly you would think they would account for people using bigger batteries. I like mine tho. Hate using air pumps at gas stations. The 12 volt adaptor sold it for me too. Pumps no good it you can't power it. The thread on the hose is great too. Set it and forget it.
HELP NEEDED PLEASE!! I purchased this unit a few days ago to inflate my flat tire and it works great! I understand that it has three different ways to power the unit. 1.) with the included 12v DC cord 2.) with flexvolt battery sold separately. 3.) with 120v AC cord sold separately. I am having trouble with number 3 I can't seem to find the correct cord/part I need to power it using the 120v AC cord. any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
4:15 Just got one, they must have watched your video or heard customer complaints because they have a retaining half slots built in the bottom to hold the hose cap now lol.
Visited HD this morning to see if they had in stock. I got the last one they had, $79 with battery. Put a fresh 1.5 battery in it when I got home and proceeded to fill my travel trailer tires. Taget pressure is 80 psi. All 4 tires were at 57 psi. Went through 3 charged 1.5 batteries and had to finish on 12 volt plug. Took a lot longer than I expected and ate right thru the batteries. Not real impressed.
Still can't decide between one of these guys or the flexvolt compressor. Main application would be filling up AG tires that go flat in the lot over the winter nowhere near electricity. What would be your recommendation?
Justin D I think the DeWalt flexvolt compressor probably has a little bit more durability and if you're airing up something from completely flat it might last longer because large egg tires with this unit will take longer than 10 minutes to fill
Bro , the little watch ama caleta you said is hanging. There is a small latch on the bottom . Where you can hook it up so its not dangling. My bad I haven’t notice its 2018 , we are now close to 2024 . Ive seen this inflator and it now has a latch. 😂
I don't see anywhere where the AC house plug power cord is on here, and you didn't talk about it in the video either, it shows it on the box but it is not anywhere on the tool. second question is you also didn't talk about inflating bicycle tires is that something this tool can do and if so how we have looked at this and I can't figure it out unless it's something we have to buy extra
The AC plug is an accessory and not included with the tool. The tool can fill bike tires. If you have a Schrader valve, it screws right in. If you have the "other" style in higher end pikes, there is an adapter on the side of the tool that is brass that screws on so it fits.
How does it compare to the m12 inflator in terms of speed? Maybe you can do a comparison test between the M12 ,the DeWalt and the ryobi.
+1 for an m12 direct comparison

It will not do your tires from 10 to 35 psi for long as it takes longer than its duty cycle for each tire.
That high volume inflator is a perfect addition to switch from m12
Kinda hoping to know how to use the 110V...
Wish Milwaukee would have done a m18 inflater that could air up things like pool floats and air mattresses.
Ryan Jewell They have one! We have had it for years.
I guess I've never seen it. Wonder if it's been discontinued, all I find is the 12v
Ryan Jewell No, this is only for pool type tools. It is a blower, inflator and deflator. www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/Power-Tools/Vacuums-and-Fans/Compact-Blowers/0884-20
I want an m18 just like this hope to see it out soon
Man, I didn't even think of that! You are right, I can use my little blower as a volume inflator. Ok. My M12 inflator stays home, no need for Dewalt :-)
Thank You, I have one more question, if you don't mind. What charger model would you recommend for the 5Ah battery?
Check out this deal first: amzn.to/2Q7hjlK But the DCB107 is what I use.
Is there a good small model that will run by plugging into a garage outlet (as opposed to running on a little battery)?
Can you or how do you deflate a ball with the smaller hose on the left?
1.) with the included 12v DC cord
2.) with flexvolt battery sold separately.
3.) with 120v AC cord sold separately.
I am having trouble with number 3 I can't seem to find the correct cord/part I need to power it using the 120v AC cord.
any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
What about a camping trailer?
You did not watch our video beforehand. You probably exceeded the duty cycle of 10 minutes of use and 20 minutes of rest.
I watched the video and didn't go over the 10 minute limit and let it rest. Maybe it would do better on a larger battery.
@@cigardude64 Not sure if it would be faster. 57 psi to 80 psi is a big jump. It should do it in less than 10 mins. a 5.0Ah would be ideal.
@@WorkshopAddict yes, I agree. It's on the wish list :)
Try it in the cold weather, my porter cable would not work outside in the cold LED problems
If it’s plugged in does it double as a battery charger?
No, it will not charge.
Does it come with 2 batterys or a case?
