You know what, I made up my mind. Next Korea trip (whenever that is, looking at the current situation) will be to explore parts of Korea that's not touristy at all. These neighbourhoods are so quaint, charming, old school, authentic. I looooove it. I'm so desperately wanting to travel again.... sigh...aren't we all :( Thank you for the upload, Cari!
Same! South Korea is far more than just kpop and kdramas to be honest. There is this modern young vibe to it mixed with old nostalgic charm ☺️ def my kind of place 🤍 cant wait to visit soon!
It’s so awesome to see people who are incredibly passionate about their communities. Also, look at how proud that beer guy was. I look forward to another video of this area when you head back. Another great video, Cari. Enjoy your cookies :) ❤️🇨🇦☺️
@@carissanami5824 haha thanks :) my nickname used to be Kiki before I switched to Krispy. Additionally, who wouldn’t love to live in the seaside town in Kiki’s Delivery Service?! ❤️🌊
Don’t we just all love an old town turned into a modern and hip community but still centered on culture and history and nostalgia 🤍 thanks Cari for tagging us along!
Traveling vicariously via Cari and really loved today’s tour of this up and coming area of Incheon. Looks like good vibes and can’t wait to see it when we visit Seoul. Thank you 🙏🏼
Wow, what a cool project, I love how they are keeping the history of the old neighborhood. I also loved all the photos of the owners and their shops. 💕
Aaah I miss Korea. Your videos capture the essence of Korea so well...busy yet peaceful, modern yet traditional, skyscrapers and mountains. Through it all, your character and personality shine thru. Nice videography and soundtracks.
after knowing the effort u make to find music for your videos, i can tell u that they are a crucial part of it. i know a lot of bloggers like u who use the lofi music and i haaaaate it, i can’t watch their videos at all. all this to say i really appreciate how much thought goes into this, it really doesn’t go unnoticed
is it just me watching & re-watching all of Cari's videos because she's so good at it. She truly deserves much more recognition for her work..words won't suffice the way we discover Korea from Cari's eyes. I bow down to you queen. Love & virtual hugs from India. 🌿🧿💟
Just got home from a night out drinking with friends (in Sweden the time is 1.30 am) this video is just what i need for company while eating McDonalds take away💜
I'm not sure how because I've never been to any of these places, but somehow all of your videos just feel like memories and it's such a lovely feeling to watch them! It's this strange mix of nostalgia like vibes, how friendly you are, and a great choice in music that just hits just right, so thank you so much for creating such wonderful content
Those machines at the café at 4 minutes looked fascinating. What is it? I love it when small businesses are thriving happily. Those plum candies look nice.......🤤 I love traditional sweet stores. It just has a different vibe and makes you feel proud to be supporting a local shop. The range of cookies looks so tasty.
I absolutely love love this. For someone to put that much effort (and money) to revitalize their community is so cool to see and so important. Living in Dubai, the city/country is so young, that often times I forget that this place was once a pearl diving community. It feels like I live in the future sometimes!
oh wow I absolutely adored this!! you often get the impression that South Korea's cities are always trendy, modern and constantly changing, so it's so good to see that there's still room for old-school family businesses that have been there forever. I love that you show us these and not only what's popular on instagram haha thanks as always!!!
This is such a great project!! Love it when there are people who try to bring these old neighborhoods and old buildings to life again. Definitely looks like an area I‘d love to walk around :)
I typically like the scenic videos that you make about interesting paths to walk, especially in the mountains and parks but I really like this video too. It shows a side of everyday Korea, hole-in-the-wall shops and restaurants etc. I like the stories you tell with each video, I say you're getting better and better at making these interesting videos. . . . you go girl!
I passed by this area by bus(cause I recognized the yellow bookstore haha!), when I was traveling in Incheon back in 2019. Watching this made me wish I had alighted and explore the area a little bit more. Oh and I had hoped you showed the way to the subway so I would know how accessible it was. Loved the video as always, Cari, thanks for sharing!
😱OMG. The photos on the wall shown on your video (7:06) is my elementary school. It looked like around my graduating year, a year or two before or after. Same pose class pictures. I had to dig out my class album and compare ‘cause I thought the 6th grade pictures were my graduating class. The building and the trees are same. I was able to zoom in on the picture of teachers and was able to identify the names of the teachers matching the names on my album. I graduated in 1981 from that elementary school (인천 숭의 국민학교, I believe it’s now called 인천 숭의 초등학교). My family immigrated to US in 1984 and we’ve been living in Virginia since. I enjoy watching your TH-cam vlog, makes me want to visit so many places when I visit again (last time I visited was in 2008). Love 💜 your editing style.
Another great vlog: I love these old neighbourhoods, such a sense of community. Looks like my list of Korean travel must do’s expanded yet again (as will my waistline if I get some of those delicious looking cookies!). 😊

You are the absolute travel vlog queen & and someone who selflessly puts out so much positivity. I have learned so much about Korea just from your channel!!
My husbands parents live in incheon (but in the newer parts near the airport) and I always really loved exploring the area. We will have to come here next time we visit.

I think I just teared up seeing how Incheon people really appreciate the history of the neighbourhood by combining artistic touch to it while preserving. My country would never. All good places here will either stay poor and closed or they will turn it into massive ghost town/mall with no touch of creativity.
