    class fish senan i have a question i was looking for a lake boat and i was wondering where could i store it because i'm afraid of it getting stolen and i don't want to put it in my yard, thanks

    • @senanstanleyfishing
      @senanstanleyfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, unless you want to leave it in the public marinas, it’s close to impossible to get into a boat shed on any of the large Loughs. I’ve been on the waiting list Over 3 years for my club, and il probably be waiting another 10. Unfortunately there’s not much of a choice.

    Great video Senan do you use a leader for spinners or tie directly to ur line,also is size 2 mepps spinner to big for brown trout. Great video🤩👍

    • @senanstanleyfishing
      @senanstanleyfishing  ปีที่แล้ว

    Great Video as always, currently making a new ultra light setup for small trout on the rivers. What brand of line do you use for the 10pound braid and 6 pound flurocarbon leader. Thanks

    • @senanstanleyfishing
      @senanstanleyfishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! You can use any braid to be honest. I use DRAGON 8x , or else Robinson titan braid! Maxima fleuro is fine !

    Hey Senan. I got the same Robinson Toshido rod recently. Was looking to get the 2500 Ninja for it also. I put a cheap Shimano 2500 reel on it to check for balance and it was very forward weighted. Only a Shimano 4000 reel (350g) seemed to make it balance properly!!! That seems weird to me. Is the rod balance thing a bit bullshitty?

    • @senanstanleyfishing
      @senanstanleyfishing  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Some of the shimano reels are very heavy, I’d try the Daiwa ninja 2500 or shimano vanford 2500, has to be a HG ratio for this style of fishing, the low gear ratio is so slow for twitching. 👍 I’d try get it balanced, you will be holding it all day, your wrist will thank you.

    • @pronoun_dilemma
      @pronoun_dilemma 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@senanstanleyfishing Thanks Senan. I'm not sure if you read my message correctly. What I am saying is that my old Shimano 4000 reel (which is 350g)seems to make it balance correctly so a Daiwa Ninja 2500 would be far too light. But I'm finding that confusing as logic says surely a 2500 reel should be more suitable. I've checked online to see if I'm doing the balancing test correctly, and it appears I am.

    good video senan, just got a question for you what trebles do you use on your pike lures? ive noticed on most of my pike lures the hooks they come with get bent, rusty or snap pretty easily depending on which brand of lure it is, you have any recommendations for trebles ??

    • @senanstanleyfishing
      @senanstanleyfishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      BKK trebles on my main lures. You need to remember to store your lures correctly, and never mix them with rusted hooks, bin them. A Clean lure will keep your lures like new forever. Add silicone packets to absorb the moisture, this will prevent rust.

    • @kodiwtf
      @kodiwtf ปีที่แล้ว

      @@senanstanleyfishing cheers man highly appreciate the tip, constantly have the problem of a bit of rain getting in my tackle box and then even shaking it out at home and trying with a towel the hooks and spoons will end up getting rusty. what size BKKs do you recommend? also you ever thought about doing a gear showcase, just showing off your favourite lures , rods , reels etc, id say loads of people would like to see that

    • @senanstanleyfishing
      @senanstanleyfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @kodiwtf I use 2/0 and 3/0 on my pike lures, thank you. 👍 I do those short style videos over on my TikTok page, il try share more on my TH-cam of that info.

    What spinning rod do you use for pike

    • @senanstanleyfishing
      @senanstanleyfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use baitcasting rods for pike, not spinning rods 👍 I’m using the new wildhunter sniper rods at the moment
